Thai Lime Salad. Very large; plenty to share.

This evening we rendezvoused with friends from North Carolina at bamboo. Everybody loved their dinner. I can't remember everything that everyone ordered but I can remember what I ordered: Dungeness crab cakes and the Thai Lime Salad. Yummmm. I just remembered my husband Fried Rice with Shrimp. He enjoyed it.

It had been a while since we had dinner at Bambu and we were celebrating a birthday. We sat in the outdoor patio. It was a bit windy but nice. We were seated right away and given our menus. We ordered some appetizers and drinks. They had a great champagne and sour apple sake cocktail which was very tasty. The food was great as well as the service.

Food was very good and hot. A wide selection for lunch. Service was good but it was busy. Prices were good for lunch.

Scallops and asparagus with Butter Sauce, this was a special for the evening. Absolutely amazing!

The outdoor patio was a lovely location for dinner. Service was absolutely wonderful. I have rarely enjoyed my food so much. I had their Mango Arugula salad and the Scallop special. We were visiting from out of town. All 4 of us were so delighted, we made reservations for the next night before we left. Too many great things on the menu left to try!

Best pad Thai and great drinks. The shishito peppers app is my favorite. The drinks here are also amazing.

Nice place with exceptional food. Love their curry, pineapple rice. Not your typical Thai food - definitely a step up from the norm.

Staff is friendly and service is quick. The restaurant is fairly small and somewhat easy to miss, but the flavors in their meals are big! Their curry dishes are wonderful - I tried both the green and panang curry. The panang curry I ordered with "medium" spice, which was the perfect amount of heat. If you're out to dine with someone, I also recommend sharing their large side plate of rice, which is $4, but when they say large, they mean LARGE. The bowl they bring you is a monstrosity! Of all the wonderful dishes, especially the variety of Asian cuisines I had while in Medford, I think this one tops the list.

At first there was just the three of us, and another couple. But as the night progressed more and more started coming in.. I got worried for a sec when we didn't see any Asians dining here. But as we were heaving a few started showing up. To me when you see Asians dining at an Asian restaurant then it must be good. All there of us are Asians. But about the food...we were surprised how crispy the pork belly with Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce was. It was our fave dish of the night. The chicken satay was surprisingly moist and not dry like must places. My friends said they had better tofu with noodle dish. I also had better tasting Thai iced tea. But it was still refreshing. Gals were friendly, place was clean nothing fancy. Bathroom was clean enough. I guess their toilet was not strong enough to handle the seat covers. They asked to only flush toilet paper. So I had to throw my seat covers in trash like everyone else did. It was pretty weird if you ask me, but understandable if they get plugged toilets which is no fun. Unless they only have a septic tank. But whatever. So we are in a foodie road trip, and this is not part of the collection of places we're heading to in CA. Just a random place we found via Yelp. Will we come again, probably not since we live two states away. But I sure hope the locals support this place. All in all it was not a bad experience.

I've worked my way through nearly the entire menu, and there hasn't been a single dish I regretted ordering. My personal favorites are the lettuce cups, Pad Prik, Pad Prik Pao, and the tomato noodle dish (truly phenomenal). If you're in the mood for soup, the rib meat with lemongrass is absolutely unforgettable deeply flavorful and comforting. I highly recommend adding a side of rice or noodles to round it out. What truly sets this restaurant apart, beyond the outstanding food, is the staff. The team is warm, attentive, and genuinely elevates the entire dining experience. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, the quality and presentation remain consistent from the first order of the day to the last. The space itself is charming and inviting, with lovely outdoor seating for sunny days and cozy indoor seating when the weather turns. It's clear that care and authenticity go into every detail. Now that we've had the opportunity to visit multiple times, I feel we can make a fair assessment of the overall menu, and Dragon Express is the emperor of Chinese food in the area. With a large menu that includes classic American Chinese options in addition to more authentic fare, this restaurant can be a crowd pleaser for a range of preferences. If you want to go with stateside standbys of orange chicken or broccoli beef, you can't go wrong. The dim sum offerings are solid: xiao long bao (soup dumplings), har gao (shrimp dumpling) or siu mai (mixed dumpling) are what you'd expect and will please the table. If you're feeling more adventurous or are banging on the table for 'authentic' options, there is a submenu for such a palate. I am semi-addicted to their La Tzi Chicken, which is like a peppercorn/chili infused and topped chicken plate. Strangely on the menu, it has no 'hot pepper' indicator, but trust me, it's more like 3 peppers. If you are a pepper belly like me, this is a great one, but otherwise, go tamer. Service always seems a bit slammed, but they do a solid job. It's probably because everyone is starting to discover this place. Takeout is a brisk business on top of the dine-in crowd. The ambience is a little meh, but that's what you get with a chinese restaurant built inside an old Bobbio's pizza location. This place is worth the drive for me. And yes, there are robots that assist in the service.
