Pad see ew chicken
Steve S.

I've never gone to a restaurant that discourages ordering! Charm is the premiere Thai spot in our area. For a while I could barely scrounge up a morsel to taste. I would call and call to order takeout--no answer. I ended up going there in person to investigate. The place was jam packed. They said I could pick up my order in 90 minutes. I tried to be an upstanding citizen and alert them that their phone may be broken (we're all heroes in our own way), but they also informed me they were too busy to bother with phone orders. Mind blown! Despite the rigmarole, the hype was justified. The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. What a delight! Recently I had the dine-in experience. It was less busy this time. Our dishes were excellent, but the flavors were not as strong as I remember. We had two broad noodle dishes: pad see ew and kua kai noodles. The noodles were soft, perfectly chewy, and carried the sauce beautifully. The portions were generous, enough for most to have a second leftover feast at home. Service was prompt and attentive! Overall I must agree that this is the best Thai food in the area, and I've been to most of the others. Come see what the hype is about. I just hope this review prepares you mentally for the hustle and bustle!

31/7/25-18:00-Excellent Thai food worthy of any Thai eatery in the San Francisco Bay Area. I had the classic dish Pad Thai and it did not disappoint. Very savoury and huge portions. My friend had the Pineapple fried rice and he loved it. Very popular and highly recommended. Excellent service. Huge staff to handle the crowds. Don't miss out!

Cute place in a very not cute strip mall (but I guess that's Phoenix for you). It's not very big so expect to wait at peak times. Having said that, they moved through the waitlist pretty quickly. Food overall was really well done. We got most things "medium" which was fairly spicy. The Tom Kha Soup was the best. Really nice depth of flavor. The pineapple fried rice was also very good - perfect savory/sweet blend. Kra Pao was good, but I do wish they had used ground pork instead of pork pieces. Green Curry felt a little lacking in flavor to me, but maybe that's my fault for ordering it medium spice as I think the spice was overwhelming Portions were very generous.

Love charm Thai! Never disappoints when I go. Today we had their tots, pad see ew and baa mee moo dang. Both delicious! Baa mee moo dang is something neither my husband nor I had had before. It was so yummy and light! Service is always good and attentive. It's a small restaurant and clean. We will definitely be back! There were so many other dishes that we need to try

Service was prompt and friendly as well. Not only did she love her pad thai but she was treated to a lemonade she also loved as well as a cupcake. I went with my usual, pad see ew with chicken at the thai spicy level. I love some spice and the spice was legit! The portions were much larger than expected, especially for the price. This is a great spot and I would definitely come back if I ever pass through again. Thank you!!

At first there was just the three of us, and another couple. But as the night progressed more and more started coming in.. I got worried for a sec when we didn't see any Asians dining here. But as we were heaving a few started showing up. To me when you see Asians dining at an Asian restaurant then it must be good. All there of us are Asians. But about the food...we were surprised how crispy the pork belly with Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce was. It was our fave dish of the night. The chicken satay was surprisingly moist and not dry like must places. My friends said they had better tofu with noodle dish. I also had better tasting Thai iced tea. But it was still refreshing. Gals were friendly, place was clean nothing fancy. Bathroom was clean enough. I guess their toilet was not strong enough to handle the seat covers. They asked to only flush toilet paper. So I had to throw my seat covers in trash like everyone else did. It was pretty weird if you ask me, but understandable if they get plugged toilets which is no fun. Unless they only have a septic tank. But whatever. So we are in a foodie road trip, and this is not part of the collection of places we're heading to in CA. Just a random place we found via Yelp. Will we come again, probably not since we live two states away. But I sure hope the locals support this place. All in all it was not a bad experience.

Ashland Farmer's Market on Tuesdays! Cash preferred…read more I've been meaning to try this place for weeks, but couldn't seem to be at the right place at the right time... finally. Overall: Delicious flavors, but all of the proteins were extremely dry/overcooked. I can tell that if you ordered earlier in the day that this would not be an issue. We ordered ~1pm and it was evident that all of the proteins are cooked early and sit and dry out as the hours go on... Yum Nue =$13.00 (a little spicy in a good way) This is a flavor bomb! I love the combination of fresh romaine and vegetables and the bed of sauce soaked rice at the bottom *YUM* I ordered later in the day so I guess she ran out of beef, so mine was both dried out beef and dried out chicken breast. Again, order earlier in the day and I'm sure it would have been better. BBQ Pineapple Teriyaki $12.00 (not at all spicy) Very flavorful and uses fresh pineapple. Only downside was the dried out chicken and some very crunchy burnt chicken ends were not expected and unpleasant. Would have been perfect had we ordered earlier in the day when the proteins were first cooked. I would order again, but much earlier in the day for the sake of the proteins. I understand the need to prep ahead of time, but the dried out proteins are avoidable and should be addressed.

A common complaint in Southern Oregon is the lack of great Chinese restaurants, and we're lucky for…read moreDragon Express to put those critics to rest. Now that we've had the opportunity to visit multiple times, I feel we can make a fair assessment of the overall menu, and Dragon Express is the emperor of Chinese food in the area. With a large menu that includes classic American Chinese options in addition to more authentic fare, this restaurant can be a crowd pleaser for a range of preferences. If you want to go with stateside standbys of orange chicken or broccoli beef, you can't go wrong. The dim sum offerings are solid: xiao long bao (soup dumplings), har gao (shrimp dumpling) or siu mai (mixed dumpling) are what you'd expect and will please the table. If you're feeling more adventurous or are banging on the table for 'authentic' options, there is a submenu for such a palate. I am semi-addicted to their La Tzi Chicken, which is like a peppercorn/chili infused and topped chicken plate. Strangely on the menu, it has no 'hot pepper' indicator, but trust me, it's more like 3 peppers. If you are a pepper belly like me, this is a great one, but otherwise, go tamer. Service always seems a bit slammed, but they do a solid job. It's probably because everyone is starting to discover this place. Takeout is a brisk business on top of the dine-in crowd. The ambience is a little meh, but that's what you get with a chinese restaurant built inside an old Bobbio's pizza location. This place is worth the drive for me. And yes, there are robots that assist in the service.

The restaurant was relatively busy and maybe they had online orders as well, it seemed our fried rice might've been forgotten and it was brought out sometime after we asked about it. We heard a bunch of tables around us also had forgotten and/or late orders. Might've been an extra busy night for them. I think the fried rice would be yummier if it had that wok hay char aroma. For southern Oregon, it's a 4. If it weren't in a small town, it would be more like a 3ish
