The chopped chicken and "Chinese meat" was too heavy on the oil and had a simple taste of soy sauce. The lettuce leaves were brown on the inside, and they used iceburg lettuce. Yuck, iceburg lettuce? What about romain or bib lettuce? Probably a cost choice, but not my style. Lastly, I got a sour stomach probably from the cheap sauvignon blanc wine. Or maybe it was from the food. My fellow diner had chicken curry, and the curry sauce had the texture of being watered-down. The 3rd person could barely eat their meal because it was too spicy. They declined to return it, but was largely left uneaten. The food gets 2 stars, but add on the other factors, I decided on 3 stars. read more

This new Thai resto in Phoenix was such a delightful discovery! The staffs were attentive and friendly. We came just before the lunch rush started, and mind you it was a Saturday. They provide both indoor and outdoor seating (Patio heaters are provided). The service was smooth and quick. To start, we ordered Vietnamese Iced Coffee which was delicious. Then my husband and I shared the beef Kra Prao in mild heat ( they offer mild, mid, and hot) and the Sung Kruang Fried Rice. The food arrived surprisingly fast. The beef Kra Prao was tender and flavorful with just the right amount of heat for my palate. The Sung Kruang Fried rice was a meal itself! To finish our meal, we ordered the Thai donut which was crispy on the outside but soft inside. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will be back to try their other selection. read more

I genuinely feel a little bad writing this because the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, but unfortunately, the food just didn't live up. I really loved the vibe of this place. Cute little hole in the wall that is very well kept. If I were ranking my food only I would probably give it a 5/5. I got the kra prao with chicken and it was SO flavourful. Unfortunately my friends got some of the classics like pad thai and didn't love it and said that it lacked- I tried some and agree. I think if you come here you have to get some of the more authentic dishes because it seems they do those very well. Would absolutely come again to try some of their other dishes. read more

Came in at 11:40AM to meet a friend and was seated right away. They dropped off menus and water and made their rounds. We took our time ordering and by then the place was already packed. Got the tots, Boat Noodle, and requested what the host's favorite dish was as a surprise. We think we ended up with the Pad Prik Pao. I also ordered the Thai Tea. The tots and the tea came out quickly. Both were good. The seasoning on the tots looked excessive, but the flavor ended up being mild and tasty. I would get them again, I am tempted to mix them in with a rice dish. Shortly after, our main dishes arrived and both were excellent. The Boat Noodle was a bit over the threshold for a comfortable heat level, and I even prefer spicy food. I will see if they can tone it down next time. I loved the pork rinds, so tasty! The Pad Prik was much less spicy and quite enjoyable. This place is a gem and offers unique dishes you can't find elsewhere. Even with the lunch rush, we still finished eating before 1pm. Plan on getting there just before 12 and you should be good. read more

On our way through Oregon on I5 to head back to California, we decided to make a stop to grab a bite. Boy, this was such an amazing find. Tucked in an outdoor shopping center in Medford, this place was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. Our whole family loved everything we got. The service was also excellent and the food came very quickly and came out nice and hot. They even have a nice relaxing and spacious courtyard, so we were able to have our dog join us while we ate. Charm is thriving and I'm so glad! I came here for a to-go order when they first opened and had the pad Thai and vegetable rolls. The plumb sauce is killer with the vegetable rolls! My first experience with the pad Thai was not the best. It made me wonder if the cook was out and someone put soy sauce on some noodles and called it good. I recently decided to give it another try and the flavors were spot on so I'm back in the game for pad Thai anytime from Charm! Best Tom Kha I have ever had from a restaurant. It's very coconut milk forward and not watered down like most. The Pad Kee Mao was a great flavor although they don't use wide rice noodles, which seemed strange texture wise, but the flavor was spot on. They also served it with romaine lettuce underneath which seems unnecessary. The service was a little on the slow side when it came to someone taking our order, but they were fairly busy. The servers were all very polite and friendly. The ambiance is pretty cute and the restaurant was very clean. The silver water cups are also a very nice touch. read more

This restaurant came after the Almeda Fire, pretty sure in the midst of Covid, and wow, does their inability most evenings to get to the phone still today in 2025 speak as a testament to how high quality their dishes are, and the popularity they've been able to maintain. Went there, Saturday at 4:30 pm figuring it wouldn't be that crowded. Got a table, only one other table available which quickly filled. Was seated by the door, when a constant barrage of door-dash and take-out people kept constantly coming in and out every 30 seconds or so, with a blast of cold air ensuing. We each were very pleased with our meals. I love pad see ew and this was one of the best I've had! We tried this place tonight as take out, as we are always looking for good Thai food (sadly have never found good, just okay/bearable). This place is bad. We ordered the pad thai and pad see ew, and asked for 2 out of 3 spice level. We often eat Asian food, and really like the spicy-ness of it. When we asked for level 2, the woman on the phone warned us that the spice level is different from American food. We assured her we eat and enjoy spicy food. Within the first bite I knew it was bad...because the food tasted like nothing. Literally nothing. Not just no spice level, but no flavor whatsoever. This was really upsetting especially since we received the warning, which was not needed clearly, and quite misleading. I will say the veggie rolls were pretty good. Never eating from here again. Came here for lunch and boy did it not disappoint. It is in a small unassuming corner of a strip mall but don't let that fool you the food was great! Ordered the pad see ew as it is my favorite and their portion size was generous and just absolutely amazing. My only complaint is that our food did not come all out at once but it was probably only about 10 minutes between the first dish being served and the last plate arriving. Y'all this is the valleys best kept secret. I was contemplating if I should share this place but I have to tell everyone just how amazing the food is. I have sampled a handful of dishes. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything here. I LOVE the som tum, chicken satay, pad thai, pad prik mao, moo dad diew. I basically tried almost every dish here! Be cautious ordering high level spice as they don't play with their heat levels. The food here reminds me of home, I'm not as homesick when I eat their food.
