This pork is sold as Chinese style pork at Ray's Sentry Market for $9.99. You served this as bbq pork for $13.75. Please stop insulting your customers by serving this sliced up with sweet and sour sauce and some sliced cucumber and calling it bbq pork. There was nothing barbequed or Thai about it.

Perhaps I will edit this review if I return to Pongsri's. No host to seat me, no sign indicating to seat yourself or to wait. They weren't busy on a Friday night, and yet I sat there for 8 solid minutes without anyone taking my order so I walked out.

Food was flavorful except noodles were undercooked and very small portion. Beef salad was okay.

Fortunately, Yelp reviews convinced me to give it a shot. I went for a late dinner and wasn't sure I had the right place, as the sign was hard to see and it looked more like a dive bar than a good Asian place. I sat at the bar and had a friendly and helpful bartender. I asked him what his favorites were, and went with his suggestion by ordering the seared peppered tuna and chicken wings. I opted for a heat level of 3/5. The seared peppered tuna was excellent. It was served on a bed of mixed greens with a balsamic-style sauce. The greens are one of those confusing parts of a dish where I ask myself "is this a garnish? Do I eat this?". The sauce was so good, I didn't care what it was and devoured the whole plate. The wings were also good: a slightly dry chicken was more than madeup for by the sauce which had the right amount of heat with a hintness of sweet behind it. I'm still pretty sure that Asian Tapas isn't a thing, but after eating here, I'm also pretty sure I don't care. Great spot.

The amazing bartender/waiter was beyond welcoming and his service was on point. The regulars who sat around me, were very welcoming and explained to me about all the fantastic food there, which made picking dishes on the menu easy. At this point, I've tried quite a few things and not one of them could I find a flaw.

Plus they used to have an early bird special on Tuesdays. A little less food for a small price. When my now husband of 30 years asked me out, he asked where I wanted to eat. Matsukaze of course. He had never been. It quickly turned into his favorite also. One and half years later he proposed there. Our grandson now claims it as his favorite restaurant also. Even though we live in Medford and my son has passed away, I go over (hubby gets to join us sometimes also) and take my teenage grandson out to Matsukaze. The food is always great no matter what you order. I have to say the combination dinner of Beef Teriyaki and Tempura is my favorite. For us Matsukazu is worth the drive to Grants Pass and no other restaurant in the Rogue Valley beats it. Their teriyaki sauce is the best. We buy a few bottles of it whenever we eat there. If we run out we grab some at Cartwrights. We do blind test tastes with multiple teriyaki sauces. Hands down Matsukaze teriyaki is the best. It isn't as salty, it is sweeter. They also have other sauces. There are a few tables were you can sit on the floor. It is peaceful, relaxing place to eat.
