I go here all the time and they are always so kind and welcoming and on top of that the food is spectacular! I mostly get the red curry, but sometimes I'll mix it up and get the yellow or green. Nice little "hole in the wall" Thai restaurant. There is NO dining in at this time, but you can walk in and order. Kind owners. Great panang sauce and I ordered a level 3 for spice which was jalapeño-level spice. My husband order the spicy noodles (flat noodles) and he enjoyed them. I have pretty high food standards and my husband puts me to shame with how obsessive he is about pad Thai. I've taken him to amazing Thai in LA and Seattle and he's declared the dish substandard. So color me surprised that this little mom n pop spot in Central Point gets his thumbs up! He's disliked it everywhere else in the Rogue Valley. Do not judge this book by its cover. When you pull up the building is scary. I won't lie we almost turned away, but my husband went inside and said it seemed calm so we said screw it after hours of traveling. AND IM SO GLAD WE DID. Tried this place and I should have listened to my co-workers when they said to avoid it. I got 2 orders of Teriyaki Chicken and 1 order of Pahd Prik to take home. I've never seen Teriyaki Chicken with NO teriyaki sauce. As someone who has never really had Thai food I realize that maybe Teriyaki means something different in Thailand than everywhere else but you'd think it would be similar. I got the Pork Pahd Prik is stir fried bell peppers with onions, mushrooms, and chili sauce. There was so much sauce that it completely covered everything. By the time that I got home the spring roll looked like a sponge. It tasted like it might have been good while still crispy but after soaking up a ton of sauce it was just a mushy log. The taste of the Pahd Prik itself wasn't bad but if I wanted soup I would have ordered soup. I see a lot of posts about this place having the best Thai food in town. I guess my tastes are different than everyone else's. I do have to admit that the owners were very nice and the portions were good sized but both orders tasted about the same even though 1 was chicken and 1 was pork. I got the lunch order of Pad Thai with chicken, and that came with a spring roll for $6.95. The spring roll was about 3 inches long...pretty disappointed there. The chicken looked like the cheap parts you buy at the discount store and tasted like it was boiled...no actual chicken flavor was left. The noodles were super greasy and I ended up with quite the pool of grease in my box when I was done. The whole meal was pretty bland. The were very sparing with the sauce...if they used any at all. Digs: A few loved or abused decorations scattered among the blank walls from Thailand? of a gutted house possibly; kids of the family business scream in the backroom while watching tv; the seating arrangement is small but it's not a well-know hole so there's no worry for a wait; Ate: Pad See Ew - straight forward; slightly more greasy then plates before it; eggs, broccoli, large rice noodles, and optional meat topping (chicken) - satisfying; Tom Yum - A spicy soup broth with prawns swimming and large vegetables challenging to recognize; Service: A family businesses sometimes needs to deal with issues (which we experienced)...disciplining their children; Overall: It's far from the best in the valley *cough* Siam Cafe *cough* thus far, but it's a convenient pickup or stop which people sometimes prefer in a little/big town such as Medford. A wonderful place to go if you're looking for a tasty and relaxed meal. The owners are friendly and accommodating and a joy each time I go (which is actually quite often). My favorite menu item is their Spicy Noodle dish which is so delicious that I find myself craving it often. My boyfriend loves to try a new thing every time and is making his way through the menu without a single disappointment yet. Their Thai Iced Tea and Coffee are fantastic as well and impossible to resist.
