As someone who loves Thai food, this place is a true gem. A coworker and I stopped in here for dinner after driving past it a couple days earlier, and I'm so glad we did. Staff is friendly and service is quick. The restaurant is fairly small and somewhat easy to miss, but the flavors in their meals are big! Their curry dishes are wonderful - I tried both the green and panang curry. The panang curry I ordered with "medium" spice, which was the perfect amount of heat. If you're out to dine with someone, I also recommend sharing their large side plate of rice, which is $4, but when they say large, they mean LARGE. The bowl they bring you is a monstrosity! Found this place via Yelp. We were so hungry on our road trip, and due to the good reviews we decided to have an early dinner here. At first there was just the three of us, and another couple. But as the night progressed more and more started coming in.. I got worried for a sec when we didn't see any Asians dining here. But as we were heaving a few started showing up. To me when you see Asians dining at an Asian restaurant then it must be good. All there of us are Asians. But about the food...we were surprised how crispy the pork belly with Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce was. It was our fave dish of the night. The chicken satay was surprisingly moist and not dry like must places. My friends said they had better tofu with noodle dish. I also had better tasting Thai iced tea. But it was still refreshing. Gals were friendly, place was clean nothing fancy. Bathroom was clean enough. I guess their toilet was not strong enough to handle the seat covers. They asked to only flush toilet paper. So I had to throw my seat covers in trash like everyone else did. It was pretty weird if you ask me, but understandable if they get plugged toilets which is no fun. Unless they only have a septic tank. But whatever. So we are in a foodie road trip, and this is not part of the collection of places we're heading to in CA. Just a random place we found via Yelp. Road tripping through Oregon with a birthday girl who craved Pad Thai for dinner and we found the right place. Super friendly, clean, and quick to find a seat. Service was prompt and friendly as well. Not only did she love her pad thai but she was treated to a lemonade she also loved as well as a cupcake. I went with my usual, pad see ew with chicken at the thai spicy level. I love some spice and the spice was legit! The portions were much larger than expected, especially for the price. I really wanted to be blown away but I wasn't. The food is just okay. Service could definitely be better. I had the pad Thai previously and it was good, this time I got the stir fry pepper garlic chicken. It was meh. The pad Khee Mao was strange with lettuce chunks, and it was a little slimy/runny. In Medford, Vim Thai is my go to Thai place because they have the basics down. Service is generally good and prices reasonable. My only compliant, is no WHOLE, FRESH Birds Eye peppers in fish sauce condiment--why on earth they serve such great food only to provide a blended mix of frozen peppers (mainly seeds) and mystery sauce puzzles me. Driving thru Medford on the way to Vancouver and stopped here for lunch after fueling up the car. We shared the Pad See Ew and Sweet Basil Crispy Pork lunch specials. The Pad See Ew was terrific and portion was a good size. The Sweet Basil Crispy Pork had good flavor along with some nice chopped green beans. Just beware that the crispy pork could be old pork (it was dried out) and very greasy......VERY greasy! So greasy that we didn't feel good to eat dinner that night while on the road. They also charged $2 for a bowl of rice which we thought was included with the lunch special. Service was very good and staff was attentive. read more

Tried Vim Thai for the first time yesterday and it was 10/10. There's lots of options in the valley and we've been working down the list. Vim Thai was recommended by several people in a local "foodie" group online. We ordered to go and had pad Thai, drunken noodles, chow mein, tom kha kai and Thai iced tea. Everything was phenomenal. We asked for 4/5 and 5/5 for spiciness with the dishes and they were actually spicy. They also included several, delicious peppers and spices on the side. Staff was friendly, smiling, great customer service (like the good ol' days). Even though it was in between lunch and dinner hours, there were several happy tables throughout the restaurant. Solid good Thai food. This is my go-to Thai restaurant when I am ordering in a hurry. We always get the Pad kee Mao, red curry, and curry fried rice. Note: when ordering, they don't normally ask what spice level, so you just have to let them know. The restaurant is of good size so you can eat inside comfortably. I always order out. A prime example of restaurants cutting corners! Pho: 1st of all EVERY bowl of Pho is blasted with sugar. It was as sweet as a desert. The server said "we only add a teaspoon to each bowl." Why on earth are restaurants adding sugar to everything? I asked if they could remake it without sugar. They brought me a bowl of just broth and I had to transfer the noodles and meat myself. That broth was pale, watery & flavorless. No side dish of veggies was served (customary are sprouts, lime, basil and cilantro). I won't be back! read more

We are from out of town and only wish had discovered this place sooner! We got take out and not only was the food amazing but the staff was sooooo kind and friendly. Don't think I've ever been in a place where 'everyone' smiled at you, very helpful answering questions, and as I waited for our take out to be ready, they kindly guided me to sit and brought me water plus a refill soon as I drank it!! The broth was very flavorful and the soup was filled with a wide array of seafood. The pad see ew was also very good. The servings were fairly large and we both took home leftovers. Staying in the Medford area, and this was close to my hotel. I decided to try it because of the reviews. From the street, I wasn't very impressed. In an older part of town, and outside of building was nothing to get excited about. Inside however was much different. Nice restaurant space and very clean, comfortable seating and nice decorations. I ordered the Pad Se Ew with vegetables, it was amazing! Great flavor! The portion was very large, and I only finished about 3/4 of my dish. There was a ton of vegetables on my dish, which was nice...usually it's the opposite, more noodles than vegetables. Overall, I would go back to the restaurant again. If your in the Medford area, I recommend stopping by for a nice lunch or dinner! read more
