Enjoyed the mahi mahi stir fry with garlic ginger butter sauce. The garlic ginger part was not very strong. I liked the onions but there were a lot. There was also broccoli and cauliflower. I had read their homemade desserts were amazing so I was sold to go eat lunch there. Very welcoming. Took a moment to really dive into the menu and decided to start with a Mai Tai the glass fit the drink, heavy glass with a Tiki face. I decided on the garlic chicken, came with rice and macaroni they complimented the dish to make a full lunch plate. On to dessert the Banana Luau was created with me in mind. Who has pineapple sherbert? This dessert does! With whipped cream, bananas, strawberry syrup, and two of the most delightful raspberry cheesecake in a fried poof.....amazing! read more

My husband and I eat at the Orchid Grill often, the Aloha Plate with Teriyaki Chicken, crisp steamed fresh vegetables and a cup of white rice is our favorite with a generous portion of chicken. My wife and I have been here three times now. She absolutely loves it! I too am rather fond of it! We went there for her birthday last night. She had a mixed teriyaki grill, which she has had before and loves. I had "Da Other Saiman" soup. All was delicious! Their teriyaki steak - which is ribeye - absolutely rocks! We also have their lettuce wraps! They are over-the-top awesome! I've had their yakisoba with shrimp and love it! So far, everything we have eaten here has been delicious! I've been stuck on the ribs the last several times I've been here! Just super ribs, meat just falls off the bone, but it's also nicely charred with an incredible taste of crunchy meaty deliciousness on the outside. The teriyaki sauce is sooooo good. The rice and macaroni salad are on point, and the portion of everything is generous. One of the best darn dinners and a true Hawaiian classic! One of my favorite places in Grants Pass. I wish I had taken a photo because it was beautifully plated too but I was hungry and just dug in like a famished wolverine! LOL read more

To drink I had a strawberry lemonade which I got a refill without even asking, so kind. It is pricy though & the portions aren't big, but the food is always cooked to perfection. $13 for 4 butterfly coconut shrimp & some dipping sauce is outrageously overpriced, but let me tell you - you won't regret the purchase. Their coconut shrimp are just THAT good! Their Mac salad is pretty perfect, too. I always get a side of sweet potato fries with ranch & it's a perfect side to anything in the menu. I'm used to packing my face with the giant portions they give at L&L Hawaiian BBQ, though, so the amount of food here was on the small side considering the price. Needless to say, I destroyed my plate of food like it was an amuse bouche. Taste-wise the meal was okay. And I liked that they provided me with my very own squirt bottle of teriyaki sauce to further saturate my meat and rice with liquid sugar. Came into town for business and stayed at a hotel 4 minutes away. I ordered the lettuce wraps and mixed grill teriyaki to go..... The contents for the lettuce wraps were unrecognizable (all bland & brown in color) and the romaine leafs (not iceburg) were greasy and limp - two bites and it was in the trash ($9.99) Mixed grill - the steak is not cut into strips making the plastic utensils break because it was so over cooked and tough: I couldn't even tear a piece off to to try to chew it. The chicken was half edible and half fatty, rice was rice, and their Mac was three bites worthy. ($15.99) I HATE wasting food but I ended up at Sizzler-which was great and cost less than this disaster. I promise that if you visit Hawaii, you'll get better food than I did at this spot! I got all vegetables, cauliflower and carrots but they were way under cooked. It was like they threw them in the pan heated and served, very raw. I was shocked! 5 pieces of over fried shrimp was $12.00. $15.00 for the pulled pork. They obviously tipped the box of food as it was all off to the side and the macaroni dressing was all over the pork. I will not be going to this restaurant again. Times are hard, but pork is cheap. No tables to wait on, table bussers , dishwashers, etc. just a shitty can dboard take out box. By the time you get it home (10 minutes away). It was cold and looked like leftovers.
