Great food and great service!!! Everything was hot and fresh. Wonderful meal. Highly recommend

$$84. Should have been enough for two people to have leftovers for lunch next day. The food sucks also. All sauce an vegetables. This place should just close already. read more

2nd time coming here when visiting my Nana in Grants Pass and I really like their food. Orange chicken, fried rice and chow mein are delicious! Definitely give this place a try and service is good! read more

I had 3 small pieces of beef in my Mongolian beef. Maybe 3 table spoons of rice and chow main. It was not worth 14.00. I'll never go back.

The food is always tasty. The vegetables are always fresh. The fried rice is perfectly prepared. Our family loves this place. Take outs are always on time. Dine-in service is very good too. read more

I've ordered from here on DoorDash and each time, the sushi tasted great, and the fried dumplings were also good!

My husband and I absolutely love this place. We aren't real big on dining out so we prefer takeout so we can't really comment on Ambiance or dinning service but we've always been pleased with the takeout service. Good portions and great food every single time! We highly recommend Hunan Garden. read more

I was so surprised to see the low rating for this business. The food quality is fantastic, the employees are great and friendly and they are very reasonably priced. I'm so glad I discovered this restaurant and have gone 3 times in the last 30 days now because I was so delighted by the food and experience. 10/10 recommend. read more

Food was brought out in terrible order. The hot and sour soup is why I go here but the prices are ridiculous for what you get and they don't treat you well. The place is droll and depressing now sad atmosphere cheap massage in the back probably horrible ambience won't be returning read more

The food is amazing! Especially their eel on the Fire Dragon, it has a sweet flavor. Their American dream sushi is also very good. Their service is amazing, they are very sweet. read more

There spring rolls where rock hard the food wasn't even good after a few bites we through away we had just moved to our house haven't gone there since read more

Horrible. Waste of $50 for dinner for two. Ordered orange chicken with rice, spring rolls and soup. Soup was slimy. I've had better store bought spring rolls. The chicken and rice tasted and had the texture of three day old left overs. Never again. We threw it all away after a bite of each. read more

Good food, good service and pleasant surroundings. They've got a huge menu with lots to try. I had hot and sour soup as well as Lo Mein. They were tasty. I'd eat here again. read more

We tried Hunan Garden for the first time. My husband got wor wonton soup and I got Mongolian beef dinner. It came with hot & Sour soup, which wasn't hot, too much carrots, I didn't see the mushrooms and very little tofu! The Mongolian beef had more yellow onions and carrots than beef lots of rice but not much entree. My husband's wor wonton had soup but only two small shrimp and the veggies were raw. This will be the last time we go there!!! My meal was $17 and his soup was $14 not worth the money. So disappointed. I told my husband Panda Express is sounding better to me and I don't even like Panda Express! read more

Excellent, authentic food. Not too spicy but plenty of favor. Delivery thru DD was faster than expected and all our entrees were attractively prepared. Big portions. 15 jumbo shrimp in the Walnut Shrimp! read more

A literal hole-in-the-wall. Our takeout sesame chicken was ready quickly and when promised. Not transcendent, but sweet, crispy and white meat-based, and a solid value. Alas the cheese wontons weren't quite our style, but we're pretty good at making those on our own to our own taste. We'll poke around on their menu for another side, but we'll be back soon to order twice as much entree next time, because everyone wanted more! Fast, polite service. read more

I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. It was the worst I have ever eaten. The sauce was bland. The same for the side of rice. Tasted like it had been sitting around for months after being cooked. Very bland as well. The best part of the meal was the egg flower soup. Even that had room for improvement. I would never eat their food again. I have to see how I feel in the morning, because it is Disagreeing with my stomach already. read more

The DoorDash app crashed last night and so I phoned in my order, was told 35 minutes. My phone directed me to an old address and so I was 15 minutes later they originally told me. Once I arrived, it was another 20 minute wait. Wish I would have looked in the bag at my food before I left, totally disgusting! Both sushi rolls were inedible, the deep fried roll was hard on the outside and mush in the middle. One of my tuna rolls looked like roast beef. read more

Hunan Garden - Sushi Quality - Sushi Bars Near Me - Grants Pass, Oregon

Order for my birthday dinner and very displeased once again. 3rd and final chance. Hunan Gardens is very inconsistent with their foods. sometimes they are amazing then other times they are absolutely horrible! Rice is over cooked. food no where near close to what "their" menu photo looks like for menu item. Over and hour wait time after ready time is suppose to be ready. (and no i dont want a credit either!!! probably to much of a hassle to even get that sorted out and to be honest already for two credits that'll never be used anyways). read more

Since Covid, we have order from HUNAN GP3x n I find their Chinese food to be excellent! Coming from Hawaii, where we have lots of Chinese restaurants, I rate this to Grants Pass restaurant to be my fav so far. We liked their portions and the fact that most of the entree type dishes comes with a side of rice. For one order of Mongolian Beef, Shrimp Walnut, Sweet sour chicken, we had 3 generous scoops of rice. (some places CHARGE extra for the rice). On our 2nd visit, I was disappointed with the small tiny pieces of meat in their Mongolian beef. Chef Bin, offered me 50% on my next order which was a nice touch. They try to please. Am anxious to try their sushi.... read more

My go-to Chinese takeout place in town. The food is always good. I have had to wait a pretty long time for my food unfortunately, but they had a now hiring sign on the door at the time and appear to have worked out the employee shortage. It's definitely not fancy but the food is a cut above the usual greasy and cheap chinese food. read more

We've tried several different Chinese places in Grants Pass, and this one is better than most! Their sushi is fresh and good portioned pieces. A lot of their dishes are above average. Not everything is a winner, but overall its at least decent and hits the spot when you are craving Chinese. I'll keep coming back and trying new things till I find my favorites. read more

Unfortunately, the steep price change is not warranted for the food quality anymore. This used to be my favorite Chinese food place in town & after tonight, I will need to take an extra long break, though I'm sure I'll give them another chance in the future. $17.49 for some orange chicken, sub lo mein noodles for steamed rice. The noodles were mushy, the veggies in the noodles were off-color & over cooked & some piece of the chicken tasted funny as well as some chunks were so overcooked, they were inedible. Also, they didn't fill the small container all the way. When you order to go, they don't give you a fortune cookie, napkins, a fork or soy sauce anymore. I had to bother her to ask for napkins & she gave me 2. It seems like maybe they're barely able to keep the doors open at this point, but please don't take it out on the customer who is choosing your restaurant's outrageous inflation prices over other restaurants' outrageous inflation prices. The public is what keeps businesses open. I'm sure money is tight for them, but the dining room & little Asian snack area/shelves needs some TLC. I seriously feel like they won't be in business too much longer & it's a damn shame cause they've been around for at least 2 decades & had extremely affordable, delicious food. read more

I was in town, my wife wanted Chinese and this was the closest place to where I was, so she called in a take-out order: Orange Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Pot Stickers and Chow Mein. Everything was very good! Really tasty shrimp, the pot stickers were plump, chow mein was loaded, the chicken was good too and there was a pile of rice to go with it all. Portions were sizeable enough to where you could feed two on one main course. We shared some and ate on the meal for two days for about $40! The place was about 40% full when I arrived, and our order was ready within about five minutes. I couldn't help but notice the shabby reviews as of late, but we forged ahead regardless, and we're glad we did. Those were certainly not our experience, and we suggest you give Hunan Garden a try. read more

Thank you Hunan for another great meal! As expected the King Pao Chicken was superb, just the right amount of spicy & peanuts. The Moo Shoo Pork was perfect complete with sauce and wraps. Very generous servings! We can't wait for our next visit.... hopefully it can be in person inside your clean and charming restaurant! read more

Way better and more authentic than any other places in town. The Lo Akron noodles are delishious, snd offered as a substitute for rice. The egg fu young is super good here! I always get the general tso. Cute family place. Tucked behind the strip mall. read more

Normally I would steer clear of Chinese food in Grants Pass. I've eaten at the Hong Kong in GP and it left something to be desired for me. I stopped into the Hunan Garden on a Saturday at about 3 pm. We were offered the lunch special menu which had a great selection of Chinese restaurant classics. I had Chicken Curry and the other two people I was with both had Sweer and Sour Pork. My chicken was delicious with delicious stir fried chicken and vegetables. I opted for steamed rice and was surprised that the lunch plates comes with chow mein also and it was delicious. Rounded out with choice of soup or salad and a spring roll and it was an amazing value for 5.95. Sweet and Sour anything isn't my favorite but I did try the pork and it seemed like it hit the mark for what it was. Highly recommended as a bargain bite for lunch and probably a solid choice for dinner too. read more

Bad food gave me stomachaches the day I got it and day after. It tasted bad too. And the apatizers didnt look like the picture and were really very small. 4 jalapenos appetizers? More like 2 very small ones split in half.... 4 avacado turtle shells? More like 4 corners of an avacado that are tiny...... And the crunchy spicy chicken sucked and the rice sucked and the kung pao sucked and the California roll sucked and the chow mein gave me horrible cramps and tasted horrible. Fortune cookies were good though read more

The food is always good and there's plenty to share. The staff is always pleasant..this is our go to place

Came here to pick up a phone order at the time they said it would be ready. They told us it would be 10 minutes more. It was over half an hour. We counted 7 door dash drivers that came in after us and only 1 had received their food by the time we left. Pro tip: Ask them if your food is ready before you pay. read more

Hunan garden is a decent restaurant, they seem to have the best prices for decent sushi in the area I usually find myself getting the Philly roll and the Turtle Shell (Avocado Bomb) The service is pretty slow and the waitress/cashier struggles to comprehend and speak the english language. When you go in for takeout you will pay, and then she will just start running off doing other things without telling you your order is almost ready, just one second or anything along those lines to let you know she's not immediately getting your order, leaving you standing awkwardly standing at the counter even if your food is ready. The restaurant is very quiet inside making it hard to carry on a normal conversation without the whole dining room hearing what you are talking about, a little music would be nice. If you are looking for some decent sushi at a fair price give hunan a shot as long as you aren't in a rush. read more

Consistently good, well packaged (no dripping paper boxes), lovely presentation as well as delivering what was expected every time~ I recommend the sushi~ read more

My husband ordered food over a hour before I got to the restaurant. Upon arrival I wasn't greeted in fact it took them more then 15 minutes before they even asked if I had a order. Stood there another 30 minutes and the order still wasn't ready. Needless to say over 2 hour wait time for food is ridiculous. In The past they have been amazing, and so has their food but certainly Deterred after tonight's situations for a while. read more

I ordered from Uber eats, the service was very quick and that's the only thing that earned a star. The food on the other hand was terrible. I would've rather had Panda Express. I got classic choices like sweet and sour chicken, general tso chicken, and pork fried rice. Everything was so bland and really lacked authentic flavor. There's just something really wrong with Grants Pass and their restaurants, I've never had good food at a single restaurant here. Should've just made my own Chinese food. read more

If it looks closed; it should be. What were we thinking? Cold hot sour soup, lean cuisine type spring rolls, microwaved the spoon with the soup bowl, cold fried rice. Charged an extra dollar for seeds and hot mustard (who does that?) saturated with sauce chow mein (no vegetables) lean cuisine beef and broccoli. Never checked in with us, and rude when we complained. Nightmarish place. read more

This is everything bad with poorly prepared Chinese food. Heavy brown gravy saturated both the egg plant and Mongolian beef. Egg plant pure mush. I could go on and on. I never write reviews ex wot the few times I want to do my part in helping people spend their money wisely. It is awful and you will feel worse if you actually eat all that they give you. read more
