This was a delightful, clean sushi spot with the simple Asian ambiance that I really appreciate. For 6 pm on a Sat night, we were seated as soon as we walked in. The attentive service and varied menu provided delicious options for my daughter and myself. Other (more expensive) sushi restaurants have been suggested, and I'll keep those in mind for special occasions, but this place will be go to.... Just right before or after a visit to nearby Goodwill and a convenient midpoint between Central Point and Eagle Point for friends to meet up for a healthy meal. Next time, I'll try one of their sakés. Well done. read more

The sushi (so fresh!), the food (so delicious!), the service (amazing!). We absolutely love this place. The dining room is cozy and the ambiance is lovely. We really can't say enough about Umi Sushi. We try to stop any time we come through White City. Have you considered opening an Umi in Grants Pass? Pleeeeease? See you next time. read more

Love Umi. I work in White City and when my sushi craving strikes, Umi nails it, every time. I have eaten there with a group of four other RNs and everyone walked out impressed with our lunch. It's a tiny spot that packs big taste and full bellies. Once we even ordered via grubhub, for dine-in, I contacted the restaurant to adjust an order and the chef cancelled our grubhub and made it to-order for us to save US some $. What a kind move on his part. Don't pass this place by when you're flying down Crater Lake Hwy, it's worth a pause on your road trip 100%! read more

Horrible service no waters no napkins no utensils. A 50 minute wait for food to come out. Soda was flat and when I complained it was still put on my bill. The waitresses didnt come and check up on us once. read more

We found a hair in our roll, normally it's very good sushi, but they were claiming to be extremely backed up and there were only three tables. They were focusing more on takeout, and some customers that came in after us got served first. I was really disappointed because I normally love that place Took almost an hour and a half to get our food and the waitress staying and watch filling up our water. I don't know if it's just a little frustrating. read more

This is a great post in White City for a nice sit down meal. I like their calm music playlist, they really nail the atmosphere. The sushi here is great, and I love their selection of different rolls. We had Uni here as well which is hard to find in stock at many sushi places. Overall this was a great experience! read more

Very friendly waitress, with fast service and AMAZING FOOD! The miso is really good, and served really hot (unlike some other places that leave it luke warm). I got Japanese ramen to go, which I anticipate to be just as great! We travel 300+ days a year some years, and eat out a lot, this place definitely measures up! - I'll be back to Umi Sushi! read more

Umi Sushi - Cucumber with avocado roll was delicious! - Sushi Bars Near Me - White City, Oregon

This is my second time here and service and food has been extremely good both times. I would highly recommend it. We have tried many items on the menu and were never disappointed. One of the top Sushi restaurants I have ever been to. It's a little small inside but that has never prevented me from getting a table. read more

I love Umi. I get it for my birthday every year because I love it so much and any special occasion is celebrated with Umi. The staff is always nice and the food is reasonably priced. I love their crispy California roll so much and their tempura veggies and chicken. I'll always recommend Umi. The Jacksonville location was amazing for my bday one year and accommodated us even though we were behind schedule and ended up a little late for our reservation. The service at both locations is always top notch. read more

Amazing food every time. I'm allergic to shellfish and I always order the Reno roll without crab. They do a great job of making sure everything is cleaned and made separate from the shellfish. My family and I love the tempura, chicken katsu and my daughter loves the California roll. It's always fresh... you might have to wait a bit... but isn't everything great worth waiting for? That's literally the only thing even remotely negative I can say about this place. One of our absolute favorite places in the valley read more

I ordered through door dash. It was to my home fresh in less than 25 minutes. It was so good! I got the Ramen and a California roll! Both were fantastic! read more

Went for dinner as I often do but for some reason the service was unacceptably slow. Waited just shy of 45 minutes for my food to arrive at room temperature. So so. Server was non attentive and appeared to not care about me or my table. Usually very happy with this place but almost walked out and cancelled my order. Probably won't rush back any time soon. read more

Great food , great service . Dispute Covid issues the staff is hardworking and always attentive. The food is tasty and well presented .

A hidden gem. We have eyeballed this place many times in passing and thought one day , let's give it a try. We are now weekly visitors!!! One of my favorite is the spicy jalapeño ! read more

Delicious sushi! Definitely my go to sushi restaurant and the staff is always friendly.

Very good sushi!! The rolls were on the smaller end but delicious! They're having people sit in the restaurant, but it's limited we got here around 5 ish and had to wait about 20 mins or so! Pricing was on the higher end as well! read more

We were the first ones in when they opened, they took our order, and proceeded to make phone / to go orders only, we waited 45 min for food. The chef was an a$$hole to the rest of the staff. There's many other options better than this place read more

My favorite place to get Sushi! When I tried them for the first time, I was tired and not in the mood to cook since I was just getting home from a long drive. In other words, I bought it because it was convenient but I did not want fast food. It exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff was wonderful, and the food was amazing. I would reveal to you my favorites but I think I'm up to six or seven "favorites" now so I think pretty much anything you order on the menu will be to your liking. Their sushi is fresh and expertly prepared. read more

They have great tasting sushi (I'm a sissy I only get the cooked) but reasonable prices and really nice portions

Excellent and personable service and delicious food! Our server was so kind and helpful too! read more

Great sushi, and great staff. They have better quality sushi than a lot of fancier and more expensive places. I always get takeout, and they're always on time. read more

I've always been very happy with the food and the staff. Never had a bad experience. I'm not too adventurous when it comes to sushi so I can't comment on the more outlandish rolls. I stick with cucumber and crispy california rolls and its always tasty! read more

After reading previous reviews we were a bit nervous about the service. But I will say this everything was spectacular!! The servers and sushi chefs were friendly prompt and courteous. The Hawaiian roll was very flavorful. The spicy garlic edamame was nice and salty and just right spicy. We also ordered the BEEF curry. I would say that it was the best curry I have had. It had a bouquet of curry without the heat. The ice tea was brewed beautifully too. Thank you for a wonderful meal. When we return to this area we will stop again. read more

One of the BEST places when it comes to the quality of fish! Servers and staff were really nice. as someone who's worked in the restaurant industry, i thoroughly enjoyed this place. May be a small place but it's quiet and comfortable! read more

Very good sushi and a well balanced menu. They also have creative specials. I like that during COVID they have a hygiene station as soon as you walk in. And the staff was masked and following precautions. That is especially appreciated. read more

This place never looks open so we always drive by, but I didn't want to drive to Medford so we stopped in, and it was open. I got the Tokyo roll. This was the best roll I have had in a really long time! I only gave 4 stars because I only tried one roll, but I will be going back to try more. The specialty rolls are pretty expensive, but I guess all prices have been rising recently. The service was friendly. read more

Not sure why with the low ratings. I've seen good sushi places and this is great! Friendly atmosphere and cute waitress. Food was excellent and the choices were abundant! I would go back anytime for some great Japanese and Korean Meals! read more

Doesn't look like much from the road or when you walk in but pretty solid sushi place with very friendly service.

This place has amazing sushi! I have been here 20 plus times. I love the Tokyo roll and apple gate roll. Why only 3 stars is because they are inconsistent. They don't always answer their phone for to go orders and one day I came in and they told me they werent taking any new tables because they ran out of rice. The cooks said it was okay to stay as long as I didn't order much. So I stayed, but thought it was wierd because people who were already sitting were still ordering food from their tables. Their prices are reasonable for sushi, but sushi is exspesive. Staff seem to change a lot, but are sometimes decent. There is a parking lot. read more

I can't speak to the quality of the sushi but we had the chicken teriyaki and spicy chicken. It was very bland. Didn't taste good at all. Their salad dressing on the salad is also very bad. The staff was wonderful but they need to focus on improving the quality of their main meals. read more
