    Rare steak and brisket pho
    Joe R.

Hands down my new favorite Pho place! The staff here was very quick to greet us as guests and sit us at a table. The waiter came over right away for drinks and made friendly small talk. The pho here is absolutely incredible! The size of the bowl it comes in is massive, and they bring out a side plate absolutely loaded with jalapeños, bean sprouts, basil, and lime wedges. I ordered the rare steak and brisket, which was nice because it was the same price as just ordering brisket or the rare beef, which is a rarity. If you're a fan of pho, you've got to try this place!

Good service, good food, pleasant atmosphere. Fair prices. Clean restrooms. Gentleman even helped me place leftovers in to-go containers. Would recommend.

    Garlic udon noodles

Credentials: grew up getting food in little saigon in socal. Best and only authentic pho in the Rogue Valley! The broth is divine and they load you up with high quality fresh veg in the veggie pho. Brisket pho is great too. All of their other dishes are amazing too. I go the spicy hot dumpling sauce (more of a dumpling soup) and have also tried the garlic udon noodles. It seems they are still tweaking things - cucumber salad was different the second time I ordered it, but still great. Of their milk teas I have only had the Thai tea, but it tastes like actual tea and not powder, which a lot of boba shops use. You can definitely taste the difference. Service is quick and friendly. They are all super nice. I hope they are prosperous and stay open for a very long time.

    Spicy Noodle Soup (Lamb)

Lamb spicy soup was good and similar to ones I have had in China - it's got Chinese dishes on top of Vietnamese - there is vermicelli and pho but not much Vietnamese rice dishes on the menu. Good anyway

    Briskets Pho

Most of the Vietnamese restaurants are family run businesses. But Mr Pho is a chained restaurant with friendly staffs and robots serving the dishes. Though I didn't see the robots in action, but the pho was pretty good. The briskets pho has plenty of briskets. Seatings are plenty as well as the parking space. I think they will do well.

    Singapore Stir-Fried Noodles with Chicken

Sept 29th was their soft opening, so I went to check it out. Everything from this point on is made in present tense reference because I was describing it in the moment: It feels way more open (they took over what used to be a Pizza Hut) because of the lighter flooring & white-painted bricks. Obviously a little disorganized due to this is their first day; there wasn't a sign suggesting "seat yourself" or otherwise, but the owner (who also runs Happy Bowl in Ashland) waved his hand to do so. Also took a bit to get a menu- lots of tables around me are dirty even though they seem to have been vacant for a while. The men running everything (only two people, which is nuts) have certainly been nice, though I've had to make some assumptions because it's hard to hear them- not to say the music is 'loud' per se, just that it's louder than how they've addressed me. It adds to the ambience, though, so once you've ordered the atmosphere feels homely. You get a paper menu that's front/back only; looks pretty good- & lots of GF options. (Only just got water 15 minutes after sitting down, could use work on that) It's a little weird, looking around at my table, that not all of them have chopsticks or napkins available (mine included)- all the condiments, sure (hoisin, shoyu, chili crisp, sriracha) & a display for "feedback for mgt? Scan the QR code"... but that's it. Seems inconsistent. I ordered their Singapore Stir-Fried Noodles with chicken- more like they asked "with chicken?" I hadn't even thought of the protein & mostly didn't want to take up more time. Nice thing was it was rather quick- 10 minutes, maybe- fairly simple rice noodles with cabbage, carrot & (I think) onion with sliced chicken in a vibrant curry sauce. It's tasty, albeit salty, so the hoisin is a great touch of balance. Bathrooms are, apparently, ONE long stall. Not exactly ideal for multiple people, but it works for me. There's, also, no personality to the space- again, 'not like that's a bad thing', but it's boring otherwise- just white walls & some cleaning supplies that didn't get put away (who leaves toilet bleach sitting by the toilet?). The biggest drawback this place suffers from is time management- which I know, theoretically, will get better the longer it's around... but today seems especially slow. I, also, feel like having the multiple entrances makes it harder to flag staff down about seating... not like it's a bad thing, again, just feels disorganized... speaking of, do they want me to come up & pay like in Ashland? Am I supposed to wait for the check? Again, it's disorganized. The single dish ran for $13.95- not bad for a pile (& I DO mean 'pile') of noodles! Including tip, it ran for $17 even. I imagine it'll be hopping & bopping once they find their groove- in the meantime, this was fun & I wish them well.

The firecrackers (fried stuffed jalapeños) were flavorful, well cooked, and lightly crisp. The crispy jalapeño roll was delicious and even my husband who doesn't do raw fish ate it up. The ceviche roll was a creative fusion surprise, it was very fresh and flavorful. We also had their fusion fish taco, which was a flat panko breaded fish tender that was served on a fresh corn tortilla with guac and a surprisingly delicious chipotle sauce. We also enjoyed the drinks, a refreshing sprite/tequila/lime juice combo served in an olla, a touch we really enjoyed. This Mexican/japanese fusion place came highly recommended by many people and I can see why! The service was absolutely impeccable despite the place being packed. It's like having the Korean Chirashi "protein style". It's absolutely fresh, flavorful, well balance with pickled veggies and raw spiraled diakon and beet. They make their own spicy house sauce that would be good on everything. It has a tang, but I wouldn't call it "spicy". If you want a big, fresh, sashimi mixed salad with steamed rice and a bowl of miso soup... order the Korean Chirashi for $25. It hits all the taste buds. I always have leftovers, it's very filling but does not feel at all heavy :D NOTE: This is one place that takes the same level of care with TO GO Orders as they do for sit-down. That is a rarity nowadays. 5-stars!

The ramen noodles felt similar to what instant ramen noodles feel like which kind of threw me off, but the broth was so incredibly flavorful. The toppings and amount of food was also great. I barely finished my bowl and my partner couldn't finish hers. It was a bit on the pricey side but was well worth it. The restaurant was still busy, with one large group of about ten people wrapping up their meal and three four-top tables just getting their food. The, and I selected the 12-piece menu item, was really good, but I do wish there was more variety of fish in a 12-piece dish. Miso is served with the sashimi but rice is not. I also ordered the Ikura Nigiri and it was great - salmon roe was very cold though (needs to be stored at a certain temp, I get it) so I waited for it to not feel frozen before finishing the second piece. Overall, great serving size but I don't know if I'd get the same sashimi again since you only get four kinds of fish for a rather high cost. I tried asking the server what the difference was between the 9 and 12 piece and they did say "more of the same but better" and I'm still not sure what it means so the next time they update the menu they really should offer more detail on this item.

I didn't know about the many lunch specials, which made my choice even easier: $13.95 for a small salad, small egg roll, and good sized entree with choice of white or brown steamed rice. I ordered the cashew chicken w/ white rice, which was plenty for lunch. My Thai iced team, served in small frosty mug, was good, too, but not as flavorful as other Asian restaurants in the area. That's okay -- the food was more important! I think Thai Garden must do a lot of takeout business, because the space for dining in is small and there aren't a lot of tables. (It's sort of hidden, too, so I think it's more for locals.) But, no problem.... I got there a little before 1 pm and there were more than a few choices in terms of where to sit. I'll be back sooner than later because there are a lot more dishes that I want to try!

I got 2 star on the spicy level which was perfect for me; a little heat but not too hot. The food was fine...not great but decent and probably what you'd expect from Thai food in Southern OR. The issue I had was with the to-go packaging. The foil, which probably helped keep the food warm, tore when I got toward the bottom. I had to fish out pieces of foil from the noodles. Other than the foil, the my experience was pretty average.
