I usually have a good experience and have been coming here for years. Unfortunately, last month, the nail technician cut my foot with a callus removing tool. It was horribly painful and a deep cut. They apologized profusely, but Only gave me a $15 discount. The cut left a terrible mark and is still painful. I will never go back to this place again. read more

Disappointed and Won't Be Returning I called ahead to confirm pricing for a gel color removal and reapplication--they told me it would be $25. Simple enough. When I arrived, the technician kept asking if I needed my acrylic powder removed too, and I clearly said multiple times no, just the gel color. I chose a matte pink color, and she started the service. But when she applied the new polish, I noticed it wasn't matte. I told her right away, and she casually said "oh, matte is $5 more"--after she was already at the final step of the service. At that point, I was frustrated and just said to leave it as is. In the end, I got a color I didn't ask for, was charged extra, and they still tried to upsell me for the matte I initially chose. It felt dishonest and like they were trying to take advantage of me once I was already in the chair. There was a clear lack of communication, and the pricing felt intentionally misleading. The pedicure itself was great, but the health hazard ruined the visit. While I was in the chair, a tech started using a dremel on someone's nails next to me, and the dust/airflow went right into my face. I had to cover my mouth just to breathe, and even my phone was coated in particles. Staff wear masks, but clients sit there inhaling it. Very unsanitary and unsafe. Do better! read more

The nail salon was clean and updated. Bright and spacious. The employees were friendly and not pushy when it came to me not wanting gel or a more expensive pedicure. I asked for a regular pedicure. The experience was pleasant, but I felt my pedicure was a little sloppy. The employee took nail polish remover and tried to get the excess paint off my skin, but didn't get all of it. Bamboo Nails offers all of your traditional nail and spa services. I came in here to get a pedicure and I felt leaving with a spring in my step. The service was great and affordable and the space was very clean with comfortable seating. They offer you a complimentary drink while you are getting your pedicure. This is not the place if you're new !!!!! This nail shop is a scam. My boyfriend got home and told me their nail tech charged him $105 dollars but the website said it's $85. Beware of the guy nail tech inside. From story's of friend's. He does over charger. We're not going back for a "third times a charm". We would definitely come back if this place take action of this horrible service by refunding the unnecessary $25 dollars on a simple French tip acrylics. I normally don't write reviews like this. I give amazing tips and always consider how tough it is to run a business. The manicure was good, But the tech was condescending, didn't listened to what I wanted, and made me feel like crap. I had a tough day and wanted a nice relaxing day getting my nails done. This is my 2nd time at this salon. The first time I had asked for 2 colors, Funny Bunny and Bubble Bath over acrylics. The guy that did my nails made the color amazing! I came in for my fill and the tech lady with the silver hair said "no we don't do that. We only do one color and pink as a base." Tried to explain again and got "nope he was lazy, we don't do that" huh? This is after I was already committed. I explained that it was done before and she replied angrily it was a mistake. I had no choice. After she placed the color, she tried to appease me by saying "see? The color doesn't even look different" A really good mail tech knows there's a color difference And that it pinker than I wanted it to be. This was my first ever time getting my nails done, the experience and the nails themselves were lovely. I was super tired so I appreciated how the nail artist didn't over-do small talk and let me just watch her do her thing. The building itself was very clean and has beautiful decorations- I was worried about a strong acetone or nail polish smell because I get light headed very easily, but I couldn't smell a thing! I gave Allison a reference picture of the shape and color I wanted my nails to be, and they are so perfect! I was very impressed with the price as well, for a full Gel X set with french tips, I paid $60 + $13 tip. I don't know much about the process of doing nails or nails in general, but I was also impressed that I walked in at 1pm, got seated and Allison started on my nails not even 5 minutes later, and she finished at 2pm. My coworker has been getting her nails done at Bamboo Nails & Spa for a while now and she highly recommended MINDY!! I called to book an appt with her and I am NOT sorry!!! She did a fantastic job with both my pedicure and manicure. She pays close attention to detail, making sure cuticles were pushed down and trimmed, she cut and shaped my toes and fingernails perfectly. My nail beds are short but she made them look great. I am so pleased with the services she provided me and I will definitely be making the drive from Leander to RR to see her again. The locale is also taking measures to keep the place clean and safe. All employees were wearing masks, all customers that I saw too, which was reassuring. They took my temp and I was asked to sign with in my name, number and my temp (I assume because of contact tracing-which I really appreciate). There was one chair between me and the next person in the pedicure area. In the manicure are they have installed plexiglass to ensure there is proper distance between you and the nail tech. They are also making payment contactless. You can pay via Venmo. I believe there may be other methods but I choose Venmo. Overall I am very impressed with Bamboo Nails & Spa and especially Mindy! Second time at Bamboo and it was packed but they have made some updates to ensure that everyone is practicing social distance! They've installed some shields around the pedicure stations in order to allow them to use all stations but keep everyone safe. I really liked my nail design and my experience was nice but nothing explain expending $150(not including tip) for acrylic nails and pedicure (the most basic one). I got these nail design for my Disney trip and the rhinestones didn't even make it. The first one fell off less than than 12 hours of getting the service done and by day 3, 3/6 have fallen. There's also other things about the acrylics that don't scream profesional but that's the part that bothered me the most since they charge so much extra for the design and adding the rhinestones. I went in for acrylics and the nails themselves look very nice, but my problem is with the service. The lady who did my nails filed my skin so hard with the nail file that I'm cut in multiple places. When I noticed one of the cuts I said "I'm bleeding, can I have a bandaid?" and she said "It's just a little blood, you don't need a bandaid" and wiped away the blood with her finger. I have three maybe more cuts on my fingers not to mention skin peeling away. I do not recommend this salon. Price was average for the acrylics. read more

I've been going here for over a year. I usually see 2 people and have been very happy. when I called to make an apt 2 weeks ago, the usual girl I see had left and the other man was out on a vacation. I needed an acrylic fill, so I asked who could they put me with. they answered that they weren't sure at the moment, but come in at the appointment time and I'll see someone. the entire time I was uncomfortable. he didn't know how to remove my old acrylics properly, didn't even try to cover up what he didn't remove with the new product and I knew they'd lift. I told AND showed the guy at the counter - who still charged me full price and I left. I've been looking for a new place and decided to let it go. until today. like I said, I knew they'd be lifting BUT when I cut down my middle finger- the tip flew off and my entire nail bed is now compromised. it's disgusting and I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I have been coming to here for about 6 months now and I LOVE this place!! My boyfriend enjoys the pedicures with me which are well priced and we have yet to have a tech who didn't do a good job! I also come here to get my SNS Dip Powder Manicure but I only use Lucas. He's great technically and artistically. If you ask for assistance in color choosing he won't hesitate to give his opinion and he handles my nails with great care. They also have a rewards point system that allows you to gain points and you pay for your services. Horrible attitude. I was given different price and service was bad when i started to pay they jacked up the price. I went for gel Manicure and didn't feel like it was a manicure. I was not happy with the quality of art work. It was waste of money. The janitor used same hands to pick trash, clean the floor and with same hands without washing picked the hand washing brush from water and put it in clean ones. Sad to see such unhygienic service.
