I generally don't get my nails done because I have slight anxiety of people touching me, but I have been to this place twice because they are gentle, do not pressure you and help make sure you have a satisfied color match, and have not nicked my cuticles. I had came here kind of skeptical of trying a new place. When I walked in I believe he was the owner welcomed me right away and was super sweet. I was seated right away and Cindy took great care of me. She didn't rush me and when I felt rushed she reassured me to take my time. She kept checking in on me if the water was the right temperature, if I liked the length of my nails, and the color. The massage was phenomenal she took her time and it felt great. I got the spa organic pedicure they even pulled out fresh limes to massage me with which was a surprise to me. Everything that's included for the price is well worth it! I used Yelp to request an appointment about 24 hours in advance, and someone texted me within half an hour and I had an appointment. I entered unsure whether I wanted a dip powder or acrylic fill with gel, ir what specific color(s) I wanted. They encouraged me to take my time while I looked at the various color options to make my decision, offered me a beverage (I opted for a bottle of water), and were upfront about the added fee for the upgraded color I wanted. Andy suggested an acrylic fill, and assured me that they would keep them as thin as I like. To be honest, I was hesitant because I was unhappy with my previous set and experience from another (very popular, very bougie) Round Rock salon, so I'd waited more than 3 weeks to find a new salon and get my nails done. I'm so glad I chose Galaxy Nails!! Jenny was my manicurist, and she was very patient as I asked for tiny tweaks as the vision for what I wanted for my nails came together in my mind and her hands. They were friendly, and I was out in a little over an hour. They also have a loyalty program on the back of their business card so you get a $5 discount on your 6th visit! Is it much? No. But it's 5 bucks better than nothing! Minus one star because I don't love the way my cuticles look, and I expressed discomfort with the latex gloves as I've broken out in a rash after having them used multiple times, but she really wanted use them so I capitulated, but was clearly unhappy. Overall, 4* and I will gladly return (as long as my hands don't break out this afternoon.) read more

I like it here, always feel welcome and at home. I did of course prefer the pricing of the old place here BUT they have done a full remodel and are on a different level now so I understand. A few of the same people work here but I've liked everyone that's done my pedicures and manicures here. To me they always take their time. So much so that sometimes I decide I can't stop in until the next day if I'm running short on time. I like it, I always feel like I drop $50-$125 at other salons and I'm rushed in and rushed right out, where here I start checking the time lol. It's great. I enjoy their massage chairs too, you can actually adjust most of the functions where I feel like at other places I can't. I also like that it's not always slammed like most of the other places I've frequented. I can actually relax here and I'm not overwhelmed by the other 20 clients. I had the pleasure of Jenny doing my nails last night. She was so sweet and did a fantastic job on my nails. She did just what I wanted and in a timely manner even though the shop was getting busy. She didn't make me feel uncomfortably rushed even though I felt pressure from people coming in after work. She stayed calm and sweet the entire time. She even had time for a bonding hug at the end since this was my first time there. I definitely agree feel like I made a new friend and a new nail stylist. Oh, and so much patience with me when I took forever trying to do math in my head for a tip. I hope I paid her enough. I will be more prepared next time. My husband usually takes care of that. I really enjoyed the salon when you walk in they really treat you special especially if you have an appointment so girl get yourself an appointment. But really they treat you really special and of course they do all the hay. Would you like something to drink you know try to accommodate anything you need, but It's a great atmosphere really nice very little side chatter from the employees and it's all about you. The place was nice and the people were friendly when I walked in. I don't normally go here but my sister does so I thought I would give it a shot. I asked for a simple French manicure with regular nail polish and a small thin white tip. My nails are already fairly short so I wasn't expecting it to be too hard. The nails and French tip look okay from far away but up close they are very amateur at best. I think 2 stars is probably generous. They are already chipping 3 days later and I have an irritation on one of my cuticles. You can see in the pictures how bad my cuticles and nails look. I will need to get them redone soon. My sister hasn't had the same experience but I will not be going back. read more

I tried this place randomly. It's close to my house. It's a small salon but I was looking to get away from all the mega salons popping up around austin and round rock. They were busy. I didn't have an appointment but they saw me within about 20 minutes. Jennifer did my pedicure. She was nice and did a great job. Kelly did my nails. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she created it exactly! She was very nice. The whole salon is very clean. The staff communicate with you before doing anything so there are no surprises. First time since new management took over. Beautifully decorated with a wall full of colorful butterflies, flat screen TVs, and about 10 pedicure chairs. They have a wide variety of nail polish colors to choose from and for those that like gel looks like they already match the gel color to the nail polish color for your toes. Thomas was my nail technician and he was amazing! I decided on the hot stone pedicure and a buff shine manicure. He didn't rush through the services; most importantly my cuticles are in tact! I would highly recommend and this is my new nail salon in Round Rock! Oh, I went at 10:30 AM on a Wednesday and they were busy from the time I left so definitely make an appointment so you don't have to wait. I came back to Galaxy Nails today to get a pedicure. Despite my horrible experience last time I wanted to give the business another try since my previous experiences were pleasant and its proximity to my home. I was met with bright welcoming faces and the technician instantly escorted me to the pedicure chair. It was my first time getting a hot stone foot massage and let me just tell you if you haven't tried it you've definitely been missing out. It was single-handedly one of the most soothing and revitalizing treatments that my poor overused and abused feet desperately needed. I got a beautiful luxurious red pedicure with a powder toenail extension to my pinky toes. Thank you to Galaxy Nails and its staff for redeeming the subpar service I received last time and making up for it with a truly wonderful experience. read more

I don't usually get my nails done out of the knowledge they probably won't last long, but I went with Galaxy Nails out of finding them from Google and haven't stopped going since. First time I went, a lady did gel nails on me and the gel literally fell off my nails like press-ons 3 days later. I called Galaxy Nails and explained what happened and they told me to come back and they would redo my nails for free. I came back and I explained again what happened to a guy behind the desk, Andy, and he sat me down and did my nails. Did amazing. He did every nail of mine Christmas themed (it was Christmas time) and did phenomenal...he googled designs himself and asked me if I had liked each one after he did them. I felt so good afterwards. Later, in April, I decided I wanted my nails done again. I specifically asked for Andy and he did my nails like the reference picture I showed him and I was blown away that they looked identical to the picture (maybe even better than the original.) I had gotten acrylics although I was skeptical of how long acrylics stay on. They've been on for almost two months now. Got a pedi gel on my toes with another woman who I didn't know, a month later. Polish chipped hours later. Do I feel like they made my toes feel good? Yes. But in the end, the polish still chipped hours later. I got my nails refilled yesterday and Andy did my nails again, with a different reference picture. I, again, feel like his work was better than the picture. 10/10 recommend Andy. I am however giving 4 stars out of the fact the other people besides Andy have given me mediocre nails. read more
