I generally don't get my nails done because I have slight anxiety of people touching me, but I have been to this place twice because they are gentle, do not pressure you and help make sure you have a satisfied color match, and have not nicked my cuticles. Amazing place! I've been coming here for so long, since 2022. I moved to south Austin for some months and missed this place so much that sometimes I would drive and come here because I don't like other places. Last time Jenny did hot gel and she was amazing with designs. I went back later for a pedicure and it was super relaxing. They always have Diet Coke which is great too. I used Yelp to request an appointment about 24 hours in advance, and someone texted me within half an hour and I had an appointment. I entered unsure whether I wanted a dip powder or acrylic fill with gel, ir what specific color(s) I wanted. They encouraged me to take my time while I looked at the various color options to make my decision, offered me a beverage (I opted for a bottle of water), and were upfront about the added fee for the upgraded color I wanted. Andy suggested an acrylic fill, and assured me that they would keep them as thin as I like. To be honest, I was hesitant because I was unhappy with my previous set and experience from another (very popular, very bougie) Round Rock salon, so I'd waited more than 3 weeks to find a new salon and get my nails done. I'm so glad I chose Galaxy Nails!! Jenny was my manicurist, and she was very patient as I asked for tiny tweaks as the vision for what I wanted for my nails came together in my mind and her hands. They were friendly, and I was out in a little over an hour. They also have a loyalty program on the back of their business card so you get a $5 discount on your 6th visit! Is it much? No. But it's 5 bucks better than nothing! Minus one star because I don't love the way my cuticles look, and I expressed discomfort with the latex gloves as I've broken out in a rash after having them used multiple times, but she really wanted use them so I capitulated, but was clearly unhappy. Overall, 4* and I will gladly return (as long as my hands don't break out this afternoon.) read more

I had originally gone to a place across the street from here but they didn't have any availability, so I found this place and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! I'm new to the area and was hoping to find a good nail place that wasn't overly expensive. I got gel mani and pedi, I can't remember the price but it was under $90. Everyone there was so nice and I like that they weren't pushy about trying to get you to spend more or try something else like other places do sometimes. I'll definitely coming back! read more

I like it here, always feel welcome and at home. I did of course prefer the pricing of the old place here BUT they have done a full remodel and are on a different level now so I understand. A few of the same people work here but I've liked everyone that's done my pedicures and manicures here. To me they always take their time. So much so that sometimes I decide I can't stop in until the next day if I'm running short on time. I like it, I always feel like I drop $50-$125 at other salons and I'm rushed in and rushed right out, where here I start checking the time lol. It's great. I enjoy their massage chairs too, you can actually adjust most of the functions where I feel like at other places I can't. I also like that it's not always slammed like most of the other places I've frequented. I can actually relax here and I'm not overwhelmed by the other 20 clients. I had the pleasure of Jenny doing my nails last night. She was so sweet and did a fantastic job on my nails. She did just what I wanted and in a timely manner even though the shop was getting busy. She didn't make me feel uncomfortably rushed even though I felt pressure from people coming in after work. She stayed calm and sweet the entire time. She even had time for a bonding hug at the end since this was my first time there. I definitely agree feel like I made a new friend and a new nail stylist. Oh, and so much patience with me when I took forever trying to do math in my head for a tip. I hope I paid her enough. I will be more prepared next time. My husband usually takes care of that. I really enjoyed the salon when you walk in they really treat you special especially if you have an appointment so girl get yourself an appointment. But really they treat you really special and of course they do all the hay. Would you like something to drink you know try to accommodate anything you need, but It's a great atmosphere really nice very little side chatter from the employees and it's all about you. They talk to you, not each other. A very fair price, in my opinion for nails they do all kinds of nails and they're very happy to take your picture and make it happen. read more

The place was nice and the people were friendly when I walked in. I don't normally go here but my sister does so I thought I would give it a shot. I asked for a simple French manicure with regular nail polish and a small thin white tip. My nails are already fairly short so I wasn't expecting it to be too hard. The nails and French tip look okay from far away but up close they are very amateur at best. I think 2 stars is probably generous. They are already chipping 3 days later and I have an irritation on one of my cuticles. You can see in the pictures how bad my cuticles and nails look. I will need to get them redone soon. My sister hasn't had the same experience but I will not be going back. read more

I tried this place randomly. It's close to my house. It's a small salon but I was looking to get away from all the mega salons popping up around austin and round rock. They were busy. I didn't have an appointment but they saw me within about 20 minutes. Jennifer did my pedicure. She was nice and did a great job. Kelly did my nails. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she created it exactly! She was very nice. The whole salon is very clean. The staff communicate with you before doing anything so there are no surprises. Jenny and Jennifer are awesome! They did a pedicure and full set acrylic. I love my nails!!! They actually took the time to care for me instead of those high end places that charge you a lot for the bare minimum. I Had a awesome conversation with jenny and will be going back more often! First time since new management took over. Beautifully decorated with a wall full of colorful butterflies, flat screen TVs, and about 10 pedicure chairs. They have a wide variety of nail polish colors to choose from and for those that like gel looks like they already match the gel color to the nail polish color for your toes. Thomas was my nail technician and he was amazing! I decided on the hot stone pedicure and a buff shine manicure. He didn't rush through the services; most importantly my cuticles are in tact! I would highly recommend and this is my new nail salon in Round Rock! Oh, I went at 10:30 AM on a Wednesday and they were busy from the time I left so definitely make an appointment so you don't have to wait. COVID Safety: Most of the staff was wearing masks and all were wearing gloves throughout the entire appointment. read more

First time trying this place out and honestly it was a great vibe. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They give you lots of different complimentary drink options and the set up and decor is very tastefully done. I do recommend having an appointment as they do stay pretty steady with customers. They currently offer a 10% off special which was a nice surprise. It's always nice to be able to fully enjoy a pedicure from start to finish with no issues or pain. read more

I came back to Galaxy Nails today to get a pedicure. Despite my horrible experience last time I wanted to give the business another try since my previous experiences were pleasant and its proximity to my home. I was met with bright welcoming faces and the technician instantly escorted me to the pedicure chair. It was my first time getting a hot stone foot massage and let me just tell you if you haven't tried it you've definitely been missing out. It was single-handedly one of the most soothing and revitalizing treatments that my poor overused and abused feet desperately needed. I got a beautiful luxurious red pedicure with a powder toenail extension to my pinky toes. Thank you to Galaxy Nails and its staff for redeeming the subpar service I received last time and making up for it with a truly wonderful experience. read more

I don't usually get my nails done out of the knowledge they probably won't last long, but I went with Galaxy Nails out of finding them from Google and haven't stopped going since. First time I went, a lady did gel nails on me and the gel literally fell off my nails like press-ons 3 days later. I called Galaxy Nails and explained what happened and they told me to come back and they would redo my nails for free. I came back and I explained again what happened to a guy behind the desk, Andy, and he sat me down and did my nails. Did amazing. He did every nail of mine Christmas themed (it was Christmas time) and did phenomenal...he googled designs himself and asked me if I had liked each one after he did them. I felt so good afterwards. Later, in April, I decided I wanted my nails done again. I specifically asked for Andy and he did my nails like the reference picture I showed him and I was blown away that they looked identical to the picture (maybe even better than the original.) I had gotten acrylics although I was skeptical of how long acrylics stay on. They've been on for almost two months now. Got a pedi gel on my toes with another woman who I didn't know, a month later. Polish chipped hours later. Do I feel like they made my toes feel good? Yes. But in the end, the polish still chipped hours later. I got my nails refilled yesterday and Andy did my nails again, with a different reference picture. I, again, feel like his work was better than the picture. 10/10 recommend Andy. I am however giving 4 stars out of the fact the other people besides Andy have given me mediocre nails. read more

asked for gel nails with tips and the lady told me no and told me I had to get dipped powder nails then she put gel on top charged me $60 for this set and the french tips are thick as hell my nails look fat because of how much product he used. I gave Syndey and Brow Bar a try a few months ago so that I could see if it might work for my wedding. I was not disappointed! Syndey really takes her time, listens to what you want and gets it consistently perfect every time. I've been through several appointments, and I always walk out of there feeling like a million bucks. I especially want to note that I booked her a month in advance for the day before my wedding (I had too many other appointments the wedding day itself) with neither of us realizing it would end up being her day off that week. She called and asked if it was possible to schedule me another day that week, but if not, that she would come in just for me. As it turned out, I had a ton of meetings at work that week, and I knew I wouldn't be able to duck out for an appointment in Round Rock. We talked over the phone, and she was so sweet and understanding, and had no problem keeping it. My appointment went smoothly as always, but I am especially thankful that she went above and beyond by coming in on her day off just to be sure I was ready for The Big Day. Great experience overall. She's usually fully booked especially on the weekends so there are times she is just in the zone trying to get through everyone, so we may not talk as much but I promise you ladies if you open up to her, you guys will see she's nothing like these reviewers are making her out to be. She is also very knowledgeable when it comes to caring for your skin and she is well rounded in trades and does lashes as well. If you're looking for a place with a nice atmosphere and real energy then just give it a shot. The worse that can happen is you go someplace else.

Had an appointment for waxing my full legs, and she said , she doesnt like Round rock location of Hello Sugar Salon as they do not usually keep the things in right place. There was no adequate quantity of wax present at the location and when I asked her do you have more, she said - she will have to go to other room and refill and she wasnt really positive about it. She used the wax dispenser with very less wax , kept pressing hard on my legs which was hurting me bad. I complained about it 2-3 times and she mentioned its my skin and not the wax dispensor. It was actually her trying squeeze out as much as wax as one could, so pressing hard gave me bruises. Finally the wax was finished and she asked me if I am ok to use Sugaring for legs, I wasn't so comfortable with Sugar on legs. But since there was no wax present at that location, I agreed for Sugaring. Sugaring was not so good or nicely done and was really painful. Seriously, when a customer complaints - a basic courtesy is to make sure the customer is comfortable instead of considering one's own's convenience. I never expected this experience from Hello Sugar. The one location at Cedar park was really good and the girl was considerate I do not remember her name. But Eliana wasn't really considerate infact she was trying to get the work done. Due to this unwelcoming experience, I will never ever recommend my friends/family to Hello Sugar. I do have pictures of my legs which got bruised and red infront of her. But I will not share them due to privacy reasons. I would really like the owner of Hello Sugar should read it and teach basic culture of the Hello Sugar to their employees. Otherwise, even if other employees have basic courtesy and mannerisms, they will be overlooked by such employees. I wonder why can't you have basic supplies at hand for employees to use? I will never ever go to this hopeless Salon again. I never got such bad treatment as a customer and I am really very very unsatisfied with the service. If had to give no stars, I will really not give any stars for such a hopeless behavior and pointless service.

Melanie answered and was a complete sweetheart and said it'd be okay (she saved me from stressing over a loss of a prom hair appointment and trust me, I was freaking out!). I got there around 2:50 and I was done by 3:15 (I have very thick hair and wanted a updo). She worked fast and efficient while still conversing with me on a personal level. First of all, you sit in a badass massage chair here while your feet soak in water. Then the lady appears and does all sorts of relaxing things to your feet. She cuts and files your toenails and then she washes, scrubs, and massages your feet with pleasant-smelling goos. At one point she sticks your feet inside plastic bags of colorful hot wax. Afterward, your feet come out of it feeling all tingly and smooth-like. As a cherry on top, she will then paint your toenails with any color you can think of, but if that's too girly for you, there is the option to have them painted with clear polish so that none of your friends even know what you've done here. But in the end, your feet feel utterly fantastic. I kid you not, if you're a man who's never had a pedicure, then you're missing out big time. It's the best.
