My husband and I moved to Avon 2 1/2 years ago and one by one we have gone to each Chinese restaurant nearby and have never gone back. We will be coming back to Blue Moon. We each got a combination plate (there are 3 of us) and we only got two small ketchup sizes containers (an ounce?) of duck sauce. We also got an order of spring rolls and egg rolls. Portions are huge! I always make two meals out of one order. Pork fried rice are good. Not like any other fast food Chinese places. Spare ribs are okay...sometimes dry...sometimes just right. Let truth be told, you could find me here pretty much every week. Bamboo Moon, in which the name itself I'm a big fan of, does very well in the quick tasty food department. My normal that I can't get away from but do stray sometimes is the Chicken Teriyaki & the great Vegetable Dragon Maki in which I can eat a great amount If my metabolism was young again. I always get take out but there is seating just incase you can't wait, and the tables/establishment is clean which is something to be said vs other places I've been to. The owner (I don't want to misspell the name) is undeniably cool, as well as the few staff I've come across which makes a great "come back again" atmosphere. This is my go-to-spot when I need a quick bite. The restaurant was under different management before transitioning to Bamboo Moon and the new owners have stepped this place up. They have tons of new menu items that cross into different Asian cuisines (Pad Thai, etc.) and the service is much better. I should point out that I've tried two of their non-Chinese dishes and both weren't as good as I hoped they would be. I usually get takeout or delivery but I've seen people eating inside on my pickups before. The delivery fee is pretty cheap and comes fast. Make sure you get your free lemonade or iced tea if you make an order $20 or more. They have pretty good sushi and the Chinese food is good. I recommend their general tso chicken and vegetable lo mein. read more

Love this place. I over did it when I bought sushi from this place, but dayum, it was worth it. The fried maki was complete heaven, the spicy crab roll hit the spot, the California maki and the crunchy maki was delicious. All in all, this place is great. Low prices, great food. I have ordered food from here a couple of times and I have been very happy with the food. I ordered the Chicken Soup - which was delicious and I've ordered the shirmp lo Mein. Everything has been delicious and fresh, not greasy. The chicken wings are fried and crispy not greasy at all. The place is very clean. The staff, ( which I believe is family run) are very nice and friendly. I will be ordering from them now on. I work right across the street and was sad to lose the first Banh place, which was delicious, then happy to lose the second one, which was gross, and skeptical about a Chinese/Japanese fast food place. But boy was I pleasantly surprised! I had crab rangoon and they were the best I had ever had!!! Light and crispy, you could actually taste the crab, and I think they had whipped the cream cheese. Yum!! I had the general Tso's chicken, crab rangoons and scallion pancakes. The chicken was really good, the rangoons were AMAZING. The scallion pancakes were good but a little too crispy for me. My boyfriend had chicken fried rice with chicken wings and boneless spare ribs, he liked the fried rice and spare ribs a lot and the chicken wings were pretty good too. Wonderful service, they were so friendly! I will definitely go back, and my boyfriend lives close by so I think this might be his new take out spot! read more

My husband loves their fried chicken and plantains but you have to make sure to ask them not to over fry the chicken or you will be in danger of getting a dried out meal. I was in the mood for some Chinese food. I've walked by this place multiple times before but have never gone in until tonight. I got the General Tso's Chicken combo plate and it was delicious. The chicken was so crispy and wasn't drenched in the sauce. I'll definitely go there again and try another plate. I hope it lives up to my General Tso's experience. It's hard to find a good Chinese place when you move to a new town. Those times I had a craving for it, I would trek all the way to Dorchester to my old Chinese restaurant. The chicken fingers were burned and were cooked in same oil as FISH!!!! As a a matter of fact everything was fried with the fish apparently...It was disgustingly bad. The boneless ribs looked effed up and I wouldn't even try them so have no idea how bad they were but everything was inedible. The service here is so nice! Also complimentary lemonade! BUT, I ordered sushi here: spicy salmon and unagi rolls and the rolls are super packed with rice. Too much rice where it's hard to swallow it down. BUT the fish is fresh. My friend on the other hand ordered a normal Chinese take out plate: General gaus with some rice. It was great! We did not like the food at all. we ordered delivery of Orange chicken, beef fried rice, chicken fingers, fried wontons, egg rolls and a tidbit order that included chicken wings, bbq ribs, and crab rangoon. the only thing that tasted freshly made were the egg rolls which tasted really plain as were the crab rangoon, They had no flavor at all and everything else tasted like 2-day leftovers slightly warm and dried out. The rice is not your normal brown fried rice, it was yellow I'm not sure what was used to turn it yellow but it didn't have a good flavor at all. I won't be going back. read more

Without a doubt, the worse Chinese food i have ever eaten. I went out of my way because they had a 5 Star rating at 1 site. They were having a parade on N. Main ST, so i had to park a 1/2 mile away & walk. I did not mind waiting or walking or traveling out of my area at all. Because, i was hoping for something tasteful. Being disappointed is an understatement. The crab rangoon was as hard as a rock on the ends. The lobster sauce looked like a bowl of tea, with some pieces ground up meat floating around. There's finally a sushi place in Randolph! Ordered take out & everything was really good. Got the spicy tuna maki, miso soup, and general tso chicken. The chicken was so good! Will definitely order that again. Only complaint is the soy sauce they gave me wasn't meant for sushi. I didn't have any sushi soy sauce at home either, so that kind of killed my sushi mood. My favorite Chinese food by far. When I was living in Randolph I was ordering from there more then I should. The General tso chicken is my favorite. Their lo mein is delicious and their egg rolls as well. I have tried other items which all have been pretty good too. I don't get to come here often, but when I do I always come here. Randolph Mass. Does have its popular pho restaurants but this is I think the second newest Japanese cuisine here, but I have to say the quality here is crazy good. Calm and friendly staff, the girl that works in the front is nice and efficient. The chefs are nice too, I dunno lol, but good customer service is slowly back on the rise so when you get appreciate it. So....good service great food, clean conditions.
