Mystery place looks like it's closed but when u enter it's so good the food is great here and my family I went here and when I tell u this has to be the best Chinese food I've ever had in my whole life of living we've always been passing by it in our time living here in Austin and its so life changing.

    Lo Mein + dumplings

This place is by far the best hangover Chinese, night in, lunar new year, movie night, affordable takeout food. There are "fancier" Chinese places in the city to order from but they don't travel well whatsoever. Bamboo bistro travels incredibly well. The food is classic, comforting Chinese food. Generous portions. Great for large parties. Quality ingredients. I served this when I hosted my sex and the city season two watch party - and it was a hit. Don't sleep on the lo mein.

I had a barber appointment next door so I stopped in as I had been to the Bamboo Bistro near the Domain. There were zero prices on the menu, the dining area and exterior of the building were harrowing, and the view of the kitchen was rough. Still, the food was decent -- I highly recommend the jalapeño cream cheese wontons. The chicken is always the same...overcooked and quite flavorless. The fried rice was lacking flavor as well and was super oily. The staff was super nice but I won't be back...

Consistent, good food, good proportions and inexpensive. This is my go-to Asian food spot. The jalapeño crab Rangoons and Thai soup are 2 of my favs. The soup is soooo good, I want it in my veins!! Perfectly spicy, citrusy, and salty. These are some of the best Rangoons too. I got general tso chicken for the first time, wasn't my fav it had a very slight burnt taste BUT it was still good.

Traditional Chinese fast food. It's tasty and a good location with easy parking and it also has good service but it's very Americanized. It is locally owned but since they have gotten busier over the years it seems like they've added a lot of sugar and salt to all the food. I would make sure to get something that is naturally less sugar and salt. I like general tso's chicken and sesame shrimp but both are just loaded with sugar. The food comes out fast and hot.

The chef Chef's Special Seared Ahi Tuna, and some Orange Peel chicken on the left side (given to me by my mom). Fried rice up top

I want to give like 3.7-3.8 stars but I'll round up to 4. This place makes decent to go Asian food, I would say it's just a slight step up from your Panda Express quality and definitely has more options on their menu, but it's no "nice sit down restaurant." The interior is 3/5 stars at best, it's whatever. Not fancy by any means, kind of reminds me of an older diner or a McDonalds (so you can eat there - but why would you when you can get the food to go and eat in the comfort of your home?). I ordered the chef special seared tuna which comes with sautéed spinach/bacon and rice, and my mom got their version of orange chicken and shared some with me. The food was on the salty side but it got the job done, it killed the craving for Asian food. For the price, it's just standard i would say. If you're wanting a nice sit down Asian restaurant meal, try somewhere else but if you want slightly nicer to go asian food this is a fine option.

Everything tasted drab and sameish. I've tried it a few times because it's close to where I work. Just not worth it.

Pretty decent food. Always hot and very fast. Soups could use some work but that's about it.

Parking & Service: Arrival was stress-free thanks to the massive parking lot in the strip mall. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations. The Spice Factor: Interestingly, they offer two spice tiers: 1-10 and 10-15. We usually prefer a heavy heat, but found that levels 8 and 9 were still relatively mild. If you're a true spice lover, you might want to venture into the double digits! The Food: Portions are very generous and perfect for family-style dining. Everything was flavorful, though my one small note for the kitchen is that some dishes leaned a bit heavy on the salt. Overall, a great spot with big flavors.

The service has always been great--servers are attentive, friendly, and quick to clear plates, which we've always appreciated. It's part of why we kept coming back. We usually order the fried pompano, and it's always been a favorite. But the last couple of times, the fish has been noticeably smaller--like almost half the size it used to be. That was already a letdown. What really did it for us, though, was finding a plastic to-go cup lid inside one of our drink glasses. It was buried in there, and completely threw us off. At that point, we were just done. It's a bummer because we've liked this place for a long time, but between the smaller portions and that experience, we won't be coming back.

Just enough serrano to whisper heat instead of scream at you. The zucchini, eggplant, and bamboo strips all held their own -- nothing mushy, nothing fighting for attention. Every bite felt intentional and served with white rice. It was pickup, but I stepped inside to grab my order, and that place was spotless. Clean like somebody's mama was doing inspections. I might dine in just to soak it up properly.

It's perfectly poached, incredibly tender, and paired with fragrant rice that's rich without being greasy. It also comes with a decadent bowl of soup. The combo plate is the way to go if you want to try the poached and fried chicken. You get a variety of textures and flavors, both juicy and crunchy. Both sauces are great to dip in and the chicken goes great with the rice. If you can handle spice, the boat noodles are a great option too. The broth is complex and spicy, with tender noodles and well-seasoned meat. The spiciness is definitely a build up, but the broth is so good you can't stop drinking it.
