Beef teriyaki absolutely disgusting! To say the least!

Went out to get some apps and a drink and the beef teriyaki had long nasty tendons throughout the beef, I asked for my money back and they said no way. You ate most of it . ... R u kidding me??? Bar tender said I was just looking for my money back.... Seriously

Buffet back Today 5/11/23

Buffet back today. New Authentic Sichuan items. Fresh Sushi. Desert. New Bar display. Wisky. Bourbon. Vodka. Great smile all around in building.

Front desk... Owner waiting for business. It was dead, why was it dead, maybe it's Tuesday

Ordering online is a challenge, service they use is terrible Arrived at restaurant and spoke with owner. Didn't like I was complaining about service. I still ordered, owner didn't know the menu, you're the owner I assume you know your menu. Asked to alter one dish, said no, I asked if she can ask chef. No problem. Just terrible experience, the food wasn't that great. Would i return, probably not. You can get better sushi in Malden Ma.

The sushi is very good, but, the buffet is not that good AT ALL, the staff is very unfriendly and unwelcoming and everything is over-priced.

Average Chinese food. I thought the Westford location was better. Maybe things are slipping since the pandemic.

Most of the time we try the AYCE menu for the 2nd premium tier. Some of the favorites we like to order are the Harami skirt steak, shrimp & mushroom ahijo. The addicting cucumber is also super tasty and the spicy sauce I use with the other meats too. We've also tried à la carte to try the Wagyu specials. We could tell the distinct difference in the quality of the meats. The texture and mouthwatering taste. We've never had an issue with the service. For AYCE they might bring your orders in waves. Also don't be afraid to flag down your server to change out your grills. I've also started taking advantage of the app offers which definitely helps since eating here can add up. I've been able to redeem for the $25/25% off as well as the birthday $15/15% off. 4.5/5 - Given the place gets super busy I have noticed that it has not been the cleanest between patrons of the sticky sauce containers and left over wrappers at the tables which can detract from the ambiance.

It was my birthday, and my son chose this restaurant to celebrate the occasion. Unfortunately, what…read moreshould have been a memorable and enjoyable celebration turned into a very disappointing experience. The customer service was absolutely unacceptable. Our servers were unfriendly, impatient, and showed very little interest in making us feel welcome. It was our first time dining at this restaurant, yet no one bothered to explain the process of preparing our own food. We were left to figure things out for ourselves. We even had to call someone over to check the fire for us. To make matters worse, we are tall people, and there was virtually NO legroom. The seating was extremely uncomfortable, and we felt cramped throughout the meal. For a restaurant where guests are expected to sit and prepare their own food, providing adequate seating and legroom should be a basic consideration. When my nephew politely requested a birthday song, the waiter's response was to roll his eyes. That was extremely rude and unprofessional. It was my birthday, and the least we expected was a little courtesy and a welcoming attitude. However, the most disturbing incident happened when it was time to pay. My nephew had already selected his tip amount on his credit card, but the waiter allegedly changed it and charged him additional money without his authorization. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the integrity of the payment process. A customer should never have to worry about unauthorized charges when paying a restaurant bill. When confronted, the waiter was unapologetic and responded, "If you want, I can call the manager." No apology, no accountability, and absolutely no genuine effort to resolve the situation. Honestly, after everything that happened, we were left feeling disrespected and wondering whether we were being discriminated against. What should have been a beautiful birthday celebration with family turned into an experience we will never forget for all the wrong reasons. I will NEVER return to this restaurant, and I will certainly share my experience with friends and family so they can make an informed decision before choosing to dine here. **Management needs to seriously address the unacceptable customer service, uncomfortable seating arrangements, and, most importantly, the alleged unauthorized credit card charge. Customers deserve respect, honesty, and basic courtesy.**

So I looked forward to my chance to compare what I've had with the artwork of a different chef. It was amazing. As things turned out, I was the only guest at this six seat restaurant (the chef's counter) that night. Chef Michael explained how all of the fish was flown in from Japan. Evidently, there's an importer that many local sushi establishments use as their source vendor. Each piece of Nigiri was beautiful, and crafted with an expert touch. Everything was both artistically created, and delicious. Omakase is an addictive and expensive style of presentation, and taste. But it is totally worth splurging occasionally when you're looking for a special meal. I can't praise Chef Michael enough for my first meal at Akame, and look forward to my next chance to do it again.

We were considering a few different omakase spots in Boston for our anniversary and I'm really glad we went here instead. I'm a bit lost for words trying to describe it, and I already want to go back!

Oh the cool honeycomb ramen place! I've seen ads for this ramen restaurant on my Instagram numerous…read moretimes, and the big catch that seems to get everyone is the cool honeycomb booths. This was always a place we wanted to try, but still quite out the way where we haven't bit the bullet. When my birthday was right around the corner, we thought, what perfect time! Well, my birthday ended up being pretty busy so we pushed this off a couple of months for a special date night. I saw online that there were only a few private honeycomb seats, and since this was the whole appeal for us, I wanted to make sure we got one of those cool tables. I ended up calling them a week ahead to make a reservation, specifically for a honeycomb seat. They informed me that they cannot guarantee it, but they will make a note of it and try their best.  Fast forward to the ramen day, we managed to arrive about half an hour earlier than our reservation. I figured we'd wait inside just in case our table wasn't ready yet. We were greeted by the hostess, who, was relieved that we did show up early because she had one table left that she was holding for us. Alas, we got top row of the honeycomb! That experience alone was worth it. It was super cool with the privacy and having our own control center to call for a waiter. There were other standard seats in the center of the restaurant, as well as curtained-off seating on the other perimeter, which offered another option of privacy. I ordered the omurice, another popular dish I've seen on Instagram. This place was a lot easier to get to than Japan. My fiancé ordered a ramen. My meal came with a bao appetizer, a Thai tea, and a dessert. The table also had some spices/seasonings and hot sauce. Our food came out fairly quick and we were eager to dig in. My rice was presented by the waiter, who sliced the egg in half, opened up the gooey insides, and poured gravy all over it. I could not wait! It was pretty tasty and the egg was a fantastic consistency. I quickly filled up and was stuffed. My fiancé has mentioned that his ramen was probably one of the best bowls he's had in any restaurant (he still mentions it to this day).  Overall, I think the hype was definitely worth is. The unique experience that the seats offered was accompanied well by the delicious food. We would love to come back, but I fear we may not get the cool table, which is just the cherry on top. The food definitely holds its own so it wouldn't be too much of a disappointment if we missed our chances.

This is a chain originating from Taiwan, and the food definitely reflects that with a more Chinese taste. We ordered the tonkotsu and spicy miso combo. The tonkotsu had that distinct flavor profile, and the spicy miso tasted like it had a Chinese BBQ base. While they have a lot of food variety on the menu, the taste overall was just mediocre. The highlight of the place is definitely the atmosphere. The interior was very cute and fun, featuring very unique seating against the wall. It's a cool spot to check out for the environment and the fun setup, but if you are looking for deep, traditional ramen flavors, the food itself is nothing special.

This is an OG Korean restaurant in the metro Boston area. I've been going for about 20 years and…read moretook my ummah (Korean word for "mom") to celebrate her 78th birthday. We both have high standards for Korean food, and she is one of the best cooks of the fare in her heyday. We ordered 3 portions of the kalbi, or beef short ribs. My advice: order a side of lettuce and make wraps. Four adults partook and there was plenty to go around. This will not be the case at newer restaurants like Naksan (one of my favs in Boston). There, you will have to order more and pay more per person for the same level of satiation. Normally, I would also order sliced pork belly to bbq but my mom is allergic -- I know, super sad! I was also eyeing the thick sliced beef with salt and pepper to grill at the table. Next time! Their yuk ge jang soup is ginormous and could easily feed 2 adults to full capacity without bbq. My brother-in-law and sister shared it, along with the bbq. It's spicy but not too much so, and my Caucasian BIL enjoyed it: his spice tolerance is at a medium Cajun level. My family has known the owners for quite some time. They are genuinely warm, hospitable and hardworking folks. As others have noted, the restaurant itself is "well-worn." They've been around awhile, and the interior hasn't been renovated. If/when they do, y'all won't be able to have such great food for relatively reasonable prices. If you ask me, give me "happy dance" food any day over frills and ambiance. They still serve barley tea at the table, and this is provided along with complementary 4-6 side dishes (ban chan). This is no longer a given at many Korean restaurants, and it lends to the old world charm at New Jang Su.
