I can't speak on their food but it took my family 40 minutes to drive to this location location they made us feel bad for walking through the door an hour before they closed. They denied us service and made us leave. As a former host in restuarant service I understand not wanting to have to clean up after. Went there last night for hibachi dinner with 3 friends. Besides the volcano pictured below, was a bit disappointed the chef did not do the usual gimmicks like tossing veggies or feeding us sake. Spraying us with sake was not really what I had in mind. Other than that, the portion sizes were generous and the seafood I got was well prepared and flavorful. Drinks were weak and not worth the price. Took us three attempts to get classes of water which was frustrating, service was definitely subpar. Would not go out of my way to go here again. read more

We are so fortunate to have this little gem so close to home. I took my boys here for dinner on Christmas Day one year, and from the moment they first saw the hibachi show, they were hooked. Their steak dishes are fantastic, and I typically go for the Red Sox Maki. Top that with a scorpion bowl and you've got yourself the perfect holiday feast, or simply a feast when you want to gather and enjoy great entertainment and ambiance with your friends and family. Took the kids here - they liked it a lot - everyone loved their food. The chef cooked in front of us, did all the usual jokes, made the onion volcano - the kids loved it. I had one kid who didn't order something they cook in front of you and I felt bad because as the rest of us were eating fried rice and stuff, they got nothing. My wife said let's try this, we drive by Tokyo Steakhouse all the time &... Then a poor start : ( the hostess was masked and impossible to understand & was a bit rude. Then we were confused on what and where in the restaurant to eat. (Hire a non masked/ English understanding/ speaking host please!) So we sat by the grill with seats around it. Thank goodness. The waitress was rushed but ok. They should work on this for sure. Then... we ordered tempura shrimp- OMG- so good needed more shrimp please!! & ordered the chicken teriyaki and beef and chicken udon noodles. Then the magic happened. My first experience at a teppanyaki style restaurant was a good one! My friend took me about 30 minutes north of Boston to her favorite place for sushi - unfortunately for her though, my idea of sushi consists of inari, spider roll, and anything with eel. While the lunch crowd was rather skimpy this Saturday, our teppanyaki chef gave his table of eight a good show - starting off with a bang he set a fire in the middle of the cooking surface, then playfully balanced an egg before cracking it on the edge of his metal spatula in preparation for making the fried rice (+$1.95), and later created an onion volcano... it was cool, and the kids at the table (both the toddler and the young teen celebrating his birthday) were enthralled, not to mention the adults. My Hibachi Sirloin Steak ($10.95) was proceeded by miso soup chock full of little cubes of tofu and seaweed, and a simple, refreshing salad of iceberg lettuce, carrot shreds, a tomato segment, and the typically orange colored dressing. Over the show, my plate slowly filled with a nice mound of tasty fried rice, a good portion of tender beef, a mishmash of well prepared veggies (ie. zucchini, mushroom, broccoli, onion, carrot, tomato), and topped off with a bunch of bean sprouts. We were happily stuffed by the end of the meal. Oh, and my friend's scallops were tender and nicely flavored. In addition to our entrees, we ordered the Green Dragon Roll (eel roll with avocado outside), which I happily enjoyed, and a few slices of raw fish - I recognized salmon, but not the other... My friend said the sushi here is very fresh, so I'll take her word for it. I eyed our neighbor's fried ice cream, but we unfortunately lacked both time and room in our tummies... till next time... Here's a tip - tip the chef for a job well done! We got there right when they opened we're the first people there and we were definitely not the first people to be served. It took quite a while for are we just to bring the food and people that sat 20 minutes after us left 20 minutes before us. Overall it wasn't awful but I definitely probably won't be back there's definitely better choices. The rice is chock full of chunky vegetables when I like the more finely chopped. The soup was the best part because you could get that mushroom and onions like through every bite. The chicken was overcooked and cannot taste any of the sauce on it. The vegetables were not very well done and they were hard to eat. We come here every year for birthday celebrations. It's a fantastic spot where you get the entertainment of the food being cooked right I front of you. I always go for one of the combination dinners. This is our favorite place ever! The hibachi food is to die for, and the sushi is so good I literally can't eat sushi from anywhere else because it doesn't compare! All of the employees are awesome, especially the sushi chefs Allen and Tony, and the server Lynn. These three have become like old friends to us, and remember off the top of their heads what we like and want to order. Allen is always coming up with his own little appetizers and each time we come in, he makes us a little something different to try while we wait for our food. I had the pleasure of being invited to dinner Wednesday evening at the Tokyo Steakhouse. Upon arrival, I was surprised by the very attractive exterior of the building surrounded by more than ample parking in a private lot. The interior of the restaurant was modern and as you would expect a high end hibachi place to be. My friend had arrived before me and I spotted him easily after entering, as he was seated at the first hibachi table to the right with another gentleman who ended up being the proprietor of the restaurant. I said my hellos and sat down thinking of what I should order? Just then a beautiful plate of sushi arrived, it included a few rolls, some tuna, yellowtail, eel, fatty tuna the works, even an edible flower... All were fabulous!! We enjoyed our sushi platter and a few very high end cognacs. Then out comes the hibachi chef, whom I assumed was going to take our order. But alas! He said hello and fired up the grill. Apparently when the owner is at your table things go especially good. The chef put on a little bit of a show and started the fried rice, it was cooked perfectly and had large pieces of seafood throughout. He no sooner dished out the rice, the grill was covered in scallop, shrimp, lobster and steak. Wow what a feast!!! The chef then distributed the bounty and dinner was served. We sat around, chatted, enjoyed stories of past adventures and had a little more cognac. A great night out. I'd like to thank Victor & Ken for the fabulous evening as well as the wonderful food!! I have been to a number of hibachi restaurants and this is one of the best. The restaurant is clean and service is friendly. I didn't try the sushi but it looked good. The hibachi chef was friendly and entertaining without the comedy act playing into the broken English racial stereotypes of other restaurants (I have heard chefs in other places speaking perfect English at the bar and then doing broken English at the table). I was excited to go here, I love when chefs create delicious food right in front of you. Well our chef was not very pleasant at all, did zero tricks...zero he didn't even light an onion on fire. When I asked he nodded his head and left. I'm guessing there was a language barrier. Our food was ok, but not great! Rice is an additional $3.00 per person ( we were not aware of this extra charge) it doesn't seem like alot but when you have 12 ppl it adds up. I won't be going back to to this place anytime soon. I'll stick to Nana 7 in North Billerica. They squirt sake in your mouth until you say when. Have you catch food in your mouth and just know how to have a good time. Have been here a couple of times with my hibachi-crazed co-workers. Before that, I'd driven by many times but didn't know what to expect inside the Tokyo Steakhouse. It was pretty good. The atmosphere in the restaurant is a little chaotic and a lot of noise - but that's probably not a surprise when you're going to a dinner that is meant to be a show. The chefs make a great performance of their knife skills and flaming volcanos fashioned out of veggies. It's fun. The food is also pretty good - I highly recommend getting some sort-of surf-and-turf combo. The filet mignon cannot be passed up - it is tender and flavorful and amazing. You also can't go wrong with shrimp or salmon. Sometimes I have found the fried rice to be a little bland, but that's just me - nobody else I've been with seemed to notice. Drinks are what you'd expect from an asian restaurant - tropical & strong. Among us we had a flaming scorpion bowl for two, a bunch of cocktails (my favorite came served in a glass that looked like a coconut) and a few rounds of sake. I recommend giving it a try if you haven't already. Round up a lot of people to go with you - each table seats a lot of people and the-more-the-merrier, right? :) read more

The food was phenomenal, but the service was cold and rude. We went as a family, my boyfriend, daughter and myself. My daughter has an allergy so we waved over the hostess to let her know before I forgot to tell the waitress about her allergy. I sometimes forget because usually a lot of restaurants are peanut free, but since this was a type of restaurant where peanut oil is usually used, I wanted to make sure thE staff was aware. The hostess came over and stood about 4 feet away from us, no mask, in a crowded/loud restaurant and glared like, "what do you want?" I greeted her with a smile and told her about my daughters allergy. She had a blank stare after I told her and she explained they don't use any peanuts on the grill or in the food. She appeared agitated that we even got her attention! She advised me to tell the waitress which I planned on doing anyway. The entire time we were there our waitress was kind, sweet and attentive to us. It was loud and a Friday night so it was hard to hear, but she was patient with us. Until it was time to pay the bill! My boyfriend paid in cash and when she came back to get the bill she asked us "aren't you going to leave me anything?!" At the bottom of the bill it says suggested tip! So suggested implies your choice as to how much to tip, but to be fair. I told him that he'll need to leave the amount that was suggested on the bill to make it 18%-20%. So he did some rearranging with the funds and paid her, she left thinking that she was gonna walk away with a $50 tip . I told her we needed change. She pointed at the bottom of the bill and basically told us how much to tip her. We were both embarrassed and a little disappointed that she did that since the service the entire night was awesome. I gave it 4 stars because of the food, family friendly atmosphere and vibe. read more

We had reservations for a big group of people so we were expecting to all sit together they ended up moving us to a different tables multiple times, the waitresses were very rude and were speaking in a very condescending tone, and because we were a big group we asked if we can split the checks but they refused and said all 30 of us had to pay one one card because it's too much for them to memorize which was understandable if they were going to split the check for each individual person but all we asked to split the check by 4 because our group was so big like we are all broke ass highschool and college students no one has enough money on their card to pay for 30 people's dinner if I could give them 0 stars I would never again!!!!! read more

Do not recommend. While the food was good. Service was terrible. Also, do not understand the severity of allergies. My little brother is extremely allergic to shellfish and seafood. We notified the server of this and the following day my brother woke up with a swollen face. He did not consume anything else other than their food so we know for a fact that the food was the issue. So far this is the best hibachi place I've been to, where the food is as good as it can be. Ive tried steak, chicken, shrimp and have never been disappointed when I order. My go to is probably the shrimp, which I get with fried rice, veggies, bean sprouts and is accompanied with soup and a salad. The salad never disappoints, although I like it better than the soup, so I always switch with someone who loves the soup and not the salad. Hibachi style shrimp, especially the way they cook it, is my absolute favorite. Its so tender, never overcooked, and has a delicious flavor. Sometimes my family and I dabble in the sushi, which also rarely disappoints. We grab a California roll, Sweet potato roll and a philly roll. So good. The only downside to this place is sometimes the customers, who bring their kids and let them scream and yell. Sometimes it can get noisy in there, but usually its decent. Also it is a bit pricey, but for amazing food like that, I am totally ok with it!! read more

My friends and I were very excited to be home and go to dinner. But I am very disappointed and upset. Myself and 4 friends ordered the same meal. Minutes into the meal, one of my friends got up and puked. Later that night, I got food poisoning from this disgusting food. I was up ALL night vomiting and feel sick today and can not eat or leave the couch. Please read the other reviews before you go to the place.
