Review for Mile High Drain Cleaning Inc. On Christmas…read moremorning, our family faced a severe plumbing disaster at my mother's home. Every drain in the house--kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry--was backing up. We called Mile High Drain Cleaning Inc. for help, expecting a professional solution. Instead, we were met with astronomical fees just for an initial assessment, followed by even higher charges to "fix" the problem. We paid because the situation was critical. Shockingly, the same issue returned the next day. When we called them back, they refused to stand behind their work and demanded another $175 just to look at the problem again. We paid, hoping for resolution--but nothing changed. The original issue remains, and we are out hundreds of dollars with no results. This is a warning to anyone considering this company: Think twice before hiring Mile High Drain Cleaning Inc. In our experience, they charged excessive fees, failed to fix the problem, and then charged again without delivering any solution. Their lack of accountability and professionalism turned an emergency into an even bigger nightmare.

1-Star Review We had…read moreMile High Drain come out on Christmas Day to address a drain backup. We paid for emergency service and were told the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, just a few days later--by Friday--we had another backup in the exact same drain. When we contacted the company, we were told it would cost another $175 emergency fee just for them to come back and check whether the original clog was fully cleared. There was no willingness to inspect their prior work or stand behind the service we already paid for. In my opinion, standing behind your work means at least verifying whether the original issue was properly fixed--especially when the same problem returns within days. Being charged again just to see if the clog was actually cleared feels unfair and disappointing. Based on our experience, I would not trust this company. I recommend reading the other one-star reviews carefully before hiring them.

Austin's misogynist behavior at AAA drove me to use a different service provider. When I called Ladies First, AnnaLynn immediately answered. I discussed my concerns, and she was very accommodating to my circumstances. However, it was slightly more expensive than the $50 with AAA. We did not discuss the initial service charge of $175 until she was done. AnnaLynn used several techniques to determine the problem, replaced the filter, and explained her service plans and costs for repair versus replacement. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor who appeared to be professional…read more Here's what happened: They performed maintenance on my 4 year old Navien Combi-boiler. Everything checked out and the system was stated to be functioning normally. BUT Dave thought the system could be better if I added a different circulation pump. He also thought the system should be re-piped. As the bid for everything was close to $5,000, I opted to replace pump for $864. Soon after the pump was replaced and that maintenance work was done, I noticed the pipes were clanging when the heat went off. They said air was in the system and wanted to replace the air vent. Before they could replace the air vent my system broke down. It took them a week to get back to fix the problem (that's right! No heat or hot water for a week!). After it got running again the clanking continued and when I called to ask why, I was dismissed and asked to "pay up". I decided to enlist another company certified be the manufacturer to give the system a closer look. You won't believe what they found! The pump they installed was the wrong size(was suited for a large commercial application) and they installed it UPSIDE DOWN! The technician also found the heat exchanger had failed and there was carbon monoxide and gas spewing from it! It had to be shut down immediately was going to cost me $4,250 to get the system repaired! I hold Cedar Creek Mechanical and Dave Sutton responsible for this but to this date there has been no effort by him to make things right. Whats more, the suggestion for the repiping was all wrong. The factory certified technician said it was wrong to move the pipes on this system the way he suggested. So here it is: This company does bad work, suggests things that don't need to be done and then claims no responsibility! I believe they are also overpriced when I compare to others. They might try to deny this, but my system was running fine. I have it in writing. I have all of the receipts. We will see what the judge thinks!

But I had a great experience today with Cool Heat Mechanical Systems in Denver. My house has two furnaces, both of which needed a check-up and filter change. A friend recommended Cool Heat and I was so glad they had. Paul, the owner, was completely professional, very knowledgeable, and ***gave us one the fairest price*** I've ever gotten from an HVAC firm. The cost for checking both furnaces thoroughly, replacing the filters, running carbon monoxide tests, and spending several minutes talking to us about our furnaces was only $134 which included travel time. We now have smoothly running furnaces, more knowledge than we ever would have had about the age and condition of our HVAC equipment, and the peace of mind to know everything is working well. I would recommend this company to anybody. I'm sure you'll have as positive an experience as I did.

One of my neighbors recommended Cool Heat, so I gave them a call on Friday afternoon around 3:30PM, thinking I'd get a call back next week. He was wrapping up another service call in the area, so came right over in about 30 minutes. He was GREAT! Our HVAC was frozen up with gunk and he cleaned it all up. He did confirm our suspicions about our ducting system - woefully under trunked (old 4" ducts) with lots of breaks. He gave us a reasonable price for upgrading, but recommended that we don't need to do it now. So, we'll now be able to save the money for that project (that we suspected we should have done 4 years ago when we installed our new units). Thankfully, he confirmed that our actual equipment was great and that there is no need to replace those. (My fear was always that someone would come in and recommend a whole new system). Best $125 ever spent - an hour on site to fix us up! We will definitely be hiring Cool Heat to come back to upgrade our ducting later this year! As a bonus, he also services Rinnai water heaters - because we live in Englewood (hard water), we need to get it serviced. I've gotten outrageous quotes for that in the past - his quote is substantially lower than everyone else, so I'll have him to that, too.

SEAN FARRIS Where to even begin. Dealing with priority plumbing has been one of the worst…read moreexperiences in recent memory. I still sit here with a ruined front yard, holes in my walls, leaking plumbing, and inadequate water pressure due to undersized and out of code piping. To preface, this was a house we purchased and had some items to fix(replace galvanized and main). The work was done by priority and paid for by our seller's insurance. Let me say I understand insurance companies pay for the bare minimum, but the work is/was atrocious. The sellers were as appalled as we were. The work that was done I'm about to outline was appalling and bordering intentional. I have retained an attorney and will be careful to just give facts. I am skeptical of all the 5* reviews. Picture the moment you close on your house, filled with excitement; pull up to see the yard completely torn apart, with a giant dirt mound, sod mixed in not separate ruined (pictured). I then go into the house and turn on the bathroom faucet, notice low water pressure, I turn on the second and flush the toilet...barely a dribble. There was no issues with water pressure during inspection, just galvanized pipe to be replaced per contract. I then open the cabinet and to my horror see (pictured) the drywall cut out with pex running through just hanging there like a crack head cutting holes in the wall for copper. There is excellent access from the basement, there is no need for this. I run to the kitchen and find the same (pictured). I then go down to the basement and find they ran 1/2" pex off the water main, and found the water main leaking badly. I immediately contact priority and they send a supervisor. He tries to gaslight and tell me the aerators on the sinks are plugged, and that they didn't change the pressure. After showing him prior inspection videos he agrees they will run ¾" properly with a manifold off the main (don't get me started on the manifold, they ran EVERYTHING in the house off a single 1/2" line). I was told they WILL NOT BE FIXING THE DRYWALL, that's just how they do it. NO, NO that's not how you do that. At this point I call in my main plumber for house flips. He was absolutely irate; said they easily could have removed the existing pipes and ran pex without destroying the walls. He said it would've cost them $20 to properly run a manifold for the pex off the main and had no water pressure issues. I give up with priority to come back again and address the issue, they lied to my face a second time for the "fix". After weeks of phone calls trying to get the front yard at least compacted and leveled out, which I think is a REASONABLE thing to have already been done, we we're finally told someone was coming out. SEAN FARRIS, the Vice President, the man himself actually took the time to come out and take a look. Sean agreed it looked bad without needing explanation and said they "don't normally do this, but we will this one time come back and level it". I explained to Sean, I build pipelines, when they replaced the main line, they didn't even compact it or level out. Then I get the same lie as the other supervisors, "that will level out over time". Let me explain, it's a 12" high mound, with sod mixed in, it may settle a few inches with some water compacting, but it needs to be leveled. Sean agreed someone would call and they would send someone out. IT'S BEEN 3 WEEKS AND NO CALL, NO CALL BACKS. SEAN, I guess if this is how your crews leave things when taking on insurance work, maybe you shouldn't take on the work if you leave someone's house looking like a crackhead just came through it. Or do you all always do the bare minimum everywhere you go? Long story short, I'll fix the yard myself over a weekend, and I hired my plumber for $1,000 to fix everything inside. Curious question for Priority, at the very least, why didn't you offer me an estimate to fix anything additional out of scope instead doing a terrible job? You had the opportunity to earn my business and I would've used you here for the life of this house... Stay far. FAR. AWAY
