This was a very nice dining experience at the upscale restaurant at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Reservations are suggested and easy to make on their website. We were seated upon arriving in a booth with a nice view of the beach and waves outside. The restaurant is open air, but the temperature still felt comfortable inside. The server was friendly and attentive, and the interior decor definitely has a premium vibe. I had the prosecco colada which was an island cocktail with a sparkle that was strong and refreshing. We had the papaya and prosciutto starter which was fresh and delicious. The papaya was sweet and contrasted perfectly with the salty prosciutto! For dinner we had the chateaubriand for two which was amazing! Wow, the meat was incredibly tender and flavorful. I was really blown away by this dish. For dessert we had the "black forest" and the creme brulee. The former was good with a nice chocolate taste, but the creme brulee (Kona coffee) was really the highlight and had just the right amount of coffee flavor. Overall, this was a very good meal!!
Make reservations! View beautiful, service was amazing and they let us watch the fireworks off their private balcony after dinner! Kids pasta was a 10/10 according to her! Kids shrimp skewers on a sugar cane 10/10 according to her as well!
Stopped by here for some breakfast while staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort. I did not have a reservation but they were able to sit our party of seven pretty quickly. I ordered a mahi mahi benedict as I have never had that type of benedict before. It was pretty good. It was served with some potatoes that were nice, soft, and buttery. My wife ordered an avocado BLT that she said was also pretty good. Many in our group ordered a POG drink. I was not familiar with that. POG is a juice made from passion fruit, orange, and grapefruit. Everyone seemed to really enjoy that. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant had a nice beach view. Prices were pretty high but that seems to be normal for restaurants in the resort area with the beach view.
Breakfast review only! Bali Oceanfront is an immensely overpriced resort restaurant serving mediocre food pretending to be fine dining. The only thing it has going for it is the ocean view, but even the view is heavily dependent on where you are seated, and for my group of 10, we were not anywhere close to the view. They are also understaffed making it hard to flag down our waiter. We tried their Mahi Mahi eggs Benedict, Island Harvest eggs Benedict, Ube waffles, and Waikikian Omelette and everything was quite underwhelming. The poi English muffin too dried, hollandaise sauce too bland, waffle lacked any ube flavor, and the boring omelette overcooked. For an average of $40 per dish, I would expect some greens on the side, some sort of extra topping like ikura, caviar, truffles, or even some fresh herbs to bring umami and fresh aroma, and freshly baked warm and buttery bread, but all we got was very average boring dishes. The Hilton Village Resort overall is overcrowded, understaffed, unorganized with its renovations only superficially done, so I guess the restaurant is just a reflection of the quality of the hotel itself. For real resort fine dining at the same price point, even better view and real service, I recommend Orchids at the Halekulani and Alan Wong at The Kahala.
Service was a 5/5 and vibes and ambiance was very nice. Our server was phenomenal. It was the food and the price for that food. I think it might have been one of the most underwhelming and most expensive meals we had on the island. Nothing was bad per-say but for that price, felt like nothing was extraordinary. All decent and solid. Just a very convenient fancy place with an ocean view at the Hilton if you're staying there.
The best food we've had in Hawaii! Everything was exceptional, from the outstanding service to the incredible food. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Summer, who took care of our table, was wonderful. She recommended all of the dishes we ordered, and every single one exceeded our expectations. We didn't regret any of her suggestions. A big thank you to Summer for making our dining experience so enjoyable, and thank you to Bali Oceanfront for the amazing food, outstanding service, and unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back!
Beautiful oceanfront setting with one of the best views in Waikiki right at our resort. We came for breakfast. Great food, relaxing atmosphere, and the view alone makes it worth a visit.
Very luxe! The inside is elevated - literally as well as an escape from the chaos of the nearby beach. Our server was very nice and accommodating. What stood out was the chateau briand - very tender and flavorful with a great silky Demi glace. The shrimps were nice and plump. For dessert I highly recommend the Kona coffee creme brulee! We were greeted as we walked in and seated right away. It was a beautiful ocean view table. The waiter brought waters and drinks quickly while we viewed the menu. We ordered the Pineapple Portuguese Sausage with eggs, Kanaka Omelette and a side of bacon. The sausage was delicious, you definitely can taste the sweetness of the pineapple in it. The potatoes were beautifully crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was nicely browned. The kanaka omelette was equally delicious! So much yumminess nestled into 3 eggs. It was a great start to our day.
Came here to celebrate my wife's Birthday. We came a little early to try the 3 course early bird special and the food was just okay. The service was excellent and the view was great, overlooking the beach. We had the lobster bisque which was fine. The boneless shortrib needed more salt as it tasted bland. Not sure what happened, however, even my wife agreed that it lacked flavor. Dessert was good with some passion fruit cake in a glass. My 12 year old son ordered the filet mignon off of the kid's menu and he said it was okay. Sorry to say that we won't be returning again, however, service was the best thing of the night.
My favorite restaurant beneath the Rainbow Tower at Hilton Hawaiian Village! We received a $65 Hilton dining credit and are so glad we decided to try it. They serve one of the best steaks we've ever had. My parents and my son absolutely loved it too. Traveling from California for our first trip to Hawaii made this meal even more memorable
We were staying at Hilton Hawaiian village and decided to try this place for breakfast. They only service breakfast th-sun. I tried the lobster Benedict which came with fried potatoes. Food was delicious and service was quick and friendly. Prices are high- which is to be expected when eating on property at the resorts. Glad we tried it but it's not somewhere I would go regularly for breakfast
We're having early Christmas dinner tonight at Bali Oceanfront at Rainbow Tower Haven't been here in while so we can't wait to see what's on the menu tonight We'll be back posting more details and pictures to come. . . Started off with not on menu special of the day Poke with sweet papaya and flavor never had it before so full of flavor a definite winner We all ordered something different from the others first not on menu Surf and turf Filet Second Angus New York third Fresh Fish Maho Mahi forth another center cut Angus Beef And finally I ordered 12 oz Wagu Ribeye Everything was great as our waitress Chris Nago attended to our every need and very accommodating to our guests from Japan We all enjoyed and ended with coffee and tea but not before wanted to try dessert called Waialua Chocolate Cake being l went to Waialua High School there were no chocolate farms back then we were done by 7:30 and we we were heading to see the Friday fireworks when Chris our waitress offered to see from the Bali Lanai front and center was a bonus indeed never seen the fireworks so close right before our eyes was Amazing night indeed read more

I had the pleasure of having my birthday dinner here while in Hawaii. Everything was awesome. I made a mix up with the reservation and they were not only able to accommodate my party, they gave us a great table and a great view. Side note they had the best Mai Tai's ever. There were fireworks that night and they allowed everyone to leave their tables to go out and watch the fireworks. The Hawaiian bread was delicious. It's a must to order. We went to Bali Oceanfront while staying at the Hilton Village. It was probably the best dinner! The ahi tartar was so creamy and delicious. The oysters were fresh and on the larger side which I prefer. The bone marrow canoe was devine, the duck fat croutons were a great touch and really elevated the flavor of the marrow. We had a special of ahi poke bowl with papaya and little rice pearls. To finish the night off we ordered the Seafood pasta dish and I think that was my favorite. It was so creamy and delicious, it was a great way to end the night. read more
My girlfriend and I wanted to brunch here and what captured our attention from the menu, was the baked French toast with Chantilly. What we envisioned, was a buttery, salty, topping that complimented the French toast. What was served however, seemed more like a slice of bread pudding. Yes, it was soft. Yes, it tasted good. But where's the chantilly?? So we read the menu description one more time and sure enough, it does say, "Streusel topping." Oh well... Luckily, the pork belly Benedict was incredible! Nice smokey flavor, super tender pork, perfectly poached eggs, and nicely presented on taro bread. That hearty dish was served with nicely baked mini potatoes. We appreciate Brian's kind service. We also enjoyed lovely seats on the lanai, which offered a pleasing view on a gorgeous day. Such a wonderful morning indeed! read more
I came here with my boyfriend. The place has an amazing view to the lagoon. The drinks were amazing! We saw pictures of the rib-eye and we absolutely wanted it. We ordered it medium rare... but got it closer to well done. This is extremely disappointing for a place that's supposed to be 4 diamonds... we didn't return it because it is a good cut and high quality meat that we didn't want it to go to the trash, but I didn't enjoy it. I ate it because of the poor cow who suffered to be over cooked. Table next to us got seafood and that looked better. If you are thinking on the ribeye, think it twice. Update: Went to pay the bill, split check half and half cash, and shit you not, the server thought the $100 (out of a $200 check) was the tip. We called the manager and she stated it was an honest mistake. We decided to bring up the overcooked steak to which she stated that she couldn't see it live and the pic may be altered (which it isn't) so she couldn't do anything. We didn't want anything done about it but just wanted to bring it up. This was a very disappointing experience and will never return. TLDR: stay away from ribeye if you like your steak. Don't split a check they will think it's tip. read more

This restaurant is great. We didn't make a reservation and they let us eat I forget our waiters name but he gave us the best service of all the restaurants we attending in Oahu. We ordered the waffle and the omelet. To my surprise not only would the service be on par but the food was delicious. This was the happiest I felt during my visit to the island. And the view of the beach and breeze was perfect. read more

Our waitress made our evening exceptional! Her attention to ambiance for us, setting us with the best new year table settings, checking on us often and showing the aloha spirit! She was a gem and we are so thankful! The oysters are 100% best in island! Risotto was exceptional as well! Will be back! read more
Food: the scallops were so delicious. Service: food came out very quickly and the waitress was very helpful. Always checked to make sure we had what we needed. The waiters also offered to take photos of us multiple times with the gorgeous views. Ambiance: such a beautiful view of everything. This is absolutely stunning and so worth it. read more

We love the Hilton Hawaiian village and stayed there during our recent vacation. We chose to eat at Bali on our last night because it was in our hotel. Reservations are easy to make and you receive confirmation texts prior. The host was welcoming and even sat us earlier than our reservation time. I had requested an ocean view on my reservation over a month prior, and I understand it is a request not mandatory, but we were sat closer to the front with a very little ocean view and overlooking the downstairs sitting area that as empty with tables and chairs. The menu is just ok with a variety for adults. Not a lot of youth/teen friendly dishes. The one dish our teen wanted, they said they were all out of. Expect pricey items from the drinks, to meals to sides. I had the lobster ravioli, which was fairly good, very creamy. The smashed potatoes were crispy but salty. The highlight we're the clams- delicious broth but several were not even open. It was my husband's bday so they gave him a complimentary slice of chocolate cake which was very nice of them. Service was decent to good. Nothing to rave about. I expected more. Overall, nice place but I'll pass next time. I'd rather go super casual and skip these pricey meals. We chose to wait several days to write our review so that we would not write out of anger. Now we just write out of frustration and disappointment. Our experience in December 2022 was a pleasant one, and our waiter at that time (Kai) was very nice so we decided to return for our anniversary. Our reservation was for 8:15 p.m. We were not seated until 8:45 p.m., along with other parties who were walking in without a reservation (we overheard). (We get it, it was Valentines and thus busy.) When we were taken in, we were seated at a small table for 2 in a darker area. There were 3 other OPEN tables around us though - roomier tables (able to seat 4 but with placemats to be seated for a party of 2). At first we thought it was divided up into the waiter / waitress in charge (wrong). We then thought perhaps these tables were not going to be used for the rest of the night (also wrong) - each of the three tables were subsequently filled with parties of two, and they were all tourists. It was quite obvious as they had leis or they spoke with an accent from a different country or from a different part of the United States. We felt like we got the short end of the stick while everyone else around us had a nice tables or booths. It felt like we did something wrong as we watched others. We waited patiently and thought, so what if they don't treat the locals well? This is a restaurant in a hotel ... we should expect that they would treat the tourists well and not the locals, even though it's the locals that would make the choice of coming back time after time. So we ordered thinking that at least the food would be good even if the service isn't. The food was acceptable. The beef tenderloin carpaccio was delicious and our drinks were tasty. The rest was okay ... the lobster bisque was salty, the seafood pasta was soft (not al dente), and the Valentine's prefix course steak was overcooked (we asked for medium rare, we got medium). By this time, we were disappointed, but it was too soon to try to end it. We noticed that the manager went around to all of the tables around us to the people who were seated after us to ask them how their meal was. It was not until we caught the manager's eye that she came by and asked how we were doing while simultaneously trying to walk away. It was evident that she had no interest in our opinion and simply made that statement because we watched her do it to others. But alas, even that was not the worst part. While we were waiting for our dessert, we noticed that we were the last people in the restaurant. All of the parties that were seated after us had left while we patiently waited for our prie fixe dessert. We waited ... and waited ... while we watched everyone leave. We would have told our waitress to cancel our dessert ... if there was one around ... but they all disappeared. When she finally brought the desert, we noticed it was already likely pre-made and questioned why it took so long to get it. By that time though, we wanted to leave, and leave we did ... finally ... past 10:30 p.m. when everybody (including most of the wait staff) were gone or in cleaning mode. Needless to say, we will not be returning. Nor would we recommend this place to any of our friends or family. No one should have to experience what we did. read more
Bali Oceanfront has gorgeous views with space and time to sit and relax! We made a dinner reservation for 5pm for our 19th anniversary. Nineteen years ago we stayed at HHV following our wedding reception and had only ever had breakfast here during that time. Since then probably a couple lunches at Tropics and occasional Dairy Queen treats so we were glad to plan a nice, fancy dinner at HHV. We were greeted promptly and politely and appreciated the dinner photo service with a gorgeous sunset background. "Bali Oceanfront" in a name sounded intriguing and we knew the views would be excellent especially at sunset. We had time to enjoy dinner and watch the sun set from our amazing seating. This is unlike many hotel restaurants on the beach where it is very busy and rushed. I ordered a Kauai Tai to start the evening and considering the size, it's probably a better taste and value than some others on Waikiki Beach. We really enjoyed the taste of the bone in ribeye Delmonico. Their heirloom tomato salad w burrata and pickled onions was real nice and we thoroughly enjoyed the cheesecake with vanilla cream. There were very many items on the menu sourced locally and we always appreciate that. One thing I had hoped for was for something about the Bali Oceanfront menu to invoke Bali, or at least more than any other oceanfront restaurant. Whether it be a couple specials or appetizers, even a drink or two. Even music would add to the experience so I think that is a missed opportunity for something special. It was a good experience and the Kamaina discount helpful so Mahalo for that. I would return to try the seafood appetizer, steak and seafood. read more
Upscale restaurant overlooking Waikiki Beach We went for a belated anniversary dinner. Frankly, a bit disappointing. We had steamed clam appetizer. I had Delmonico steak cooked medium and my wife had the grilled Mahi-mahi both of us had asparagus. And we had a bottle of wine. The Delmonico steak was my first ever, I typically go with T-bones and Ribeyes. It was cooked medium, as ordered, and the flavor was a bit weak. I expected more beefiness and I didn't get it. There were some good bites but there was more sinews than I'd expect in a steak served in a fine dining restaurant. There also was a shark-tooth-shaped bone the size of a US nickel that fortunately I spotted before eating it, hidden toward the middle of the steak. The asparagus was tough and only the tips were chewable. I mean machete tough. The clams were a bit on the bitter side and two were unopened and serving them is a culinary no-no. Again this should not occur in a fine dining restaurant. Our server was excellent and attentive. He comped the clams which wasn't expected but was appreciated. They also comped a free tiramisu that ironically was the best part of our meal. read more

What a beautiful spot to enjoy a high end meal with excellent service and sunset views! Stay on Friday for the fireworks show as you'll get the best view possible. The appetizers are so delicious and presented so beautifully! I loved the little neck clams that were so flavorful and plump. The ahi tartare was fresh and delicious and the shrimp cocktail was huge! This place is pricey, but worth a splurge. We split appetizers but expect about $125++ for a meal here per person if you do appetizer, entree, dessert and a drink. Shout out to Bradley who was such an attentive, fast and helpful server! read more

I wanted to love Bali Oceanfront so bad, but the food was lackluster... We arrived for our dinner reservation about 5 minutes before our time, checked in, waited a few minutes, and were brought over to our perfect table with the best view. It was just about sunset, so it was an amazing spot. Our server came over for our drink order, and informed us that the Friday night fireworks were about to start. As for the food, yes it was mediocre as I mentioned before. Disappointing really. We started off with the clams. To be honest, the clams and the Caesar salad were the highlight, and the best part of our dinner. Both were absolutely delicious. My husband old fashioned was yuck. The tomahawk steak and smashed potatoes were flavorless and underwhelming. We passed on dessert and opted to get ice cream at the hotel instead. Service was great, and the view...omg the view! Bali Oceanfront at the Hilton Hawaiian Village is beautiful, and at this point not sure I would eat there again. If we do, I will definitely order something else. I will say, I wish we ordered the sourdough garlic bread loaf. Several people near us ordered it, and it looked so good. read more

Our server was the best he really took care of us! We didn't make any reservations so luckily we got our table ASAP! I wanted to sit by the ocean view but then it was full. That's okay we still enjoyed every bite! Every food was good amount! Twas a good brunch I say! A big recommendation! Loco Moco was huge big patty and comes with two eggs add some cholula pepper and salt! Ahhh best meal ever! Bravacado toast added some smoked salmon ahhh it was over my parents just finished the whole plate! Papaya Yogurt Bowl was the freshest good energy bowl in the morning! Kanaka 3 omelette was a good choice for my son he loved it since it comes with 3 meats! Thank you for the greatest service! read more

Made a reservation for 7:30pm on Friday to catch the fireworks display that is in front of the restaurant. It was a nice, short show that we viewed from the balcony. Great service by a very attentive waiter with great recommendations and personality. Started with a Island Cosmo which that wasn't too strong but still had great flavor with the kick of the vodka as well as the sourdough garlic bread which was tasty. I was torn between the Wagyu filet or the Osso Bucco but decided on the later since I didn't see any reviews for it. I'm glad I tried it. The meat of the Osso Bucco was very tender and I hardly needed a knife to cut it. The gravy was nice, rich and flavorful and the saffron risotto was excellent with a great pairing of veggies. I was too full to sample anything from the dessert menu so I'm afraid I'm no help there. Definitely give this place a try for dinner, make a reservation through OpenTable & hope you get Brian as your waiter! read more

Our server Chris went out of her way to make our meal and expierence enjoyable. She even offered to take pictures on a private balcony space. She also surprised us with a birthday desert. read more

First and foremost, we didn't have a reservation and they were completely booked. Front of the house staff were very kind not knowing it was our 29th wedding anniversary and made it work for a table for two. Our servers were Luke and Bonnie, beautiful people and made our evening that much more special. Thank you Bonnie for our Lei, service like this is truly amazing. The food was delicious and Beef Carpaccio melted in our mouths like butter. Come back to Bali next year? 100%. Truly amazing food and Great Service! read more

Excellent...be prepared for a wonderful 5-star experience. For breakfast I enjoyed the lobster benedict, which was easily the best "benedict" variation that I have ever eaten, (my eggs were cooked to perfection). For dinner, my sister and I both enjoyed the lobster ravioli, lobster bisque and the sweet, dinner rolls. The food, service, view and atmosphere were perfect. Cudos to Bali for creating an experience of all-around excellence! read more

The server so so friendly and suprised me with a fresh flower lei for my birthday and called me by name without me telling it to her. she took the time to look up my reservation and made it a personalized dining experience. read more

My wife and I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. We started with some salads, very fresh and tasty some bread and then we shared Wagyu steak. It had amazing flavor and taste and we enjoyed our meal thoroughly. We ended it with a crème brûlée, which was also fabulous. Service was quick and timely. The view was amazing and I would recommend this hotel restaurant. read more
