This is the best place to get new car keys! The Toyota Dealer quoted me $400 per key. I was able to get 2 new Toyota car keys cut and programed for $110 at Baldino's. I saved $690 compared to the cost of getting 2 new keys at the Toyota dealer. Jessica cut and programed the two keys in a just a few minutes. We had an emergency last night. Our cat had gotten trapped in a narrow dumbwaiter shaft. There was a locked access panel that would free him, but we had no key for it. I called Baldino's for help. We needed a simple lock-picking. They took my information, told me it would cost at least $300 as it was after hours, and that they would "take my information and someone would call me back." No one ever got back to us. No phone calls; no messages. Fortunately, we were eventually able to rescue the cat without a locksmith's assistance. It's just one person's opinion but it seems to me that if your business provides a service in the case of emergencies, then at a minimum the business should actually respond to said emergency. read more

Don't show up at 4:02. They'll tell you to kick rocks. I hauled butt over after work and caught one too many red lights. Walked in at 4:02 and dude said they were done for the day. At least three guys hanging around and they couldn't program and cut two keys with fobs in 58 minutes? Whatever. read more

We unfortunately lost one of our key fobs to our car. The dealership gave me a quote of close to $600. I looked for another option online and found that Baldino's offers replacement key fobs and programing at a very reasonable cost. I purchased it through their website. I received an email from Rodger the next day letting me know that they are no longer able to get the fob I ordered and issued a refund. He did let me know that if I could find one that they would be able to try and program it for us. I wasn't able to find a new one anywhere but I did find a used one. My wife brought it to the shop and they were able to reprogram it and cut the emergency key while she went next door for tacos. Wish I could give him a shout out to the young man that helped her but she forgot his name. She did though pressure me into writing this review. We highly recommend this Baldino's location for their responsiveness and excellent service. read more

I needed a car key copied, and Lowe's wouldn't copy it even though I had my own blank (they wanted to use their blank that wouldn't fit my transponder). Leesburg Va; Not only are they overpriced and not friendly. My son needed the bathroom and the man told us no! That the insurance doesn't allow public use of the bathroom. That is a basic human decency and hospitality! BTW $24 for to keys cut, and they didn't even supply the blanks, and I had to ask beg for a bag to put it in. So much for the in town guys. Perhaps they should put up a sign that reads enter at your own risk! This was the Leesburg store but it doesn't show up on Yelp, I wonder why? read more

Fast & Friendly - Got myself locked out (in 32 degree temps / with my dog) and was back inside in no time for a reasonable amount.

My husband is a realtor so he has to make a lot of copies of keys. After repeated failures from home-improvement store keys, we now only use Baldino's. While making a key is $5 + change, the cost of the higher quality key makes up for multiple runs to the home in Improvement store. You know if you get your keys made at Baldino's, you'll get a quality copy as good as the original every time. read more

When I found that one of the house keys he duplicated did not work well, he quickly replaced it with a key that worked flawlessly. They rekeyed our locks in November. In February we started having trouble with an outside door. We called them to come fix it. At times it would not open and that was the only door in or out of our building. They came, squirted a bit of lubricant, and charged $175 for the 5 minute visit. That is apparently their minimum charge. It was $99 for the visit and $76 for the squirt of WD-40. Ridiculous. Our accounting department called to talk to the manager. She says he got very snippy and mean. He claims we were quoted the price on the phone. We weren't. We will not be using them again. read more

I have a 15 year old special-needs son who has been leaving the house unaccompanied which can be dangerous. My brother contacted Baldino's to put locks on the doors that would ensure my son's safety. Baldino's came out today and after discussing the work with the technician he recommended other solutions to ensuring my son's safety vice worrying about just doing the work. I was truly moved and impressed by the technician who put my family first before the business and am truly grateful. I called the emergency line because my key broke off in my front door and I do not have the spare for my back door. It's 45 degrees and 7pm... I was told the locksmith would call me in a few minutes to confirm. 20 minutes later I call back and was told "sorry he must be driving"... 15 mins after that I get a call from the locksmith that he would be at least another 45 minutes... mind you they charge $198 just for entry into the home and another fee on top of that go extract the key. I found another company that answered immediately and arrived within 20 minutes and unlocked my door/extracted the key all for ONLY $100!!! This company is a RIP OFF! read more

Awesome. Night and day from my last key experience. Friendly, knowledgeable and fast! I have an old metal gate on a 1906 DC row house. The lock is at least 40 years old. Not a key you can get outside of the city (or outside of Frager's) most of the time. They knew the blank by looking at it and whipped it right out. I recommend them. read more

Purchased 2 new key fob remotes for my Honda Pilot online, took them to Baldino's in Chantilly. In less than 30 minutes Jessie had the keys cut to original and programmed new and old key fobs to my Honda and ensured they all started the car. He then assisted me with fob portion to lock and unlock doors. Highly recommend this location and Jessie for help! read more

We had a contractor nightmare to say the least and we needed someone to change our locks right away. I called and they had someone out that same day. It is a little pricey but we paid for piece of mind and they delivered. Very prompt and efficient service. Chris (Chantilly) called to to tell us he was on his way. Great staff and great service. Very, very pleased to find this shop. They offered to re-copy my key if the copies he made didn't work because my "original" was in fact a copy itself. That was surprisingly customer-based service. I see that less and less. They were also helpful in picking out blanks and tags, and they stamped the tags for free. Price is the issue. 300.00 for one key for a Ford Explorer. WOW. Got quote from Ford for less - long wait however Another locksmith in Sterling did two keys and the keyless fobb for 275.00 or one key and the fobb for 225.00./ Big difference and they were haute when I called. read more

I was in their Chantilly, Virginia location on Lee Rd this morning with my computer locked in its docking station, from which my grandson lost the key. Raymond Cottrill was extremely helpful and got my computer out of the docking station very quickly. When I wanted to pay, he said he didn't do anything, as the docking station was according to him already loose. He surely made my day and I will be back. read more

Waaaaay overpriced... 4 locks getting re-keyed is nearly $300. As they proudly told me, they charge $175 just to turn the first screw. Much too full of themselves. In order to get a coupon, they made my Realtor mother (in her 70's) drive 45 minutes because they wouldn't take her first coupon over the phone or send it with the technician and she needed it for my home the next business day. They then complained to me that she took a stack of their coupons. They complain because she is promoting their business by passing out their coupons to her other Realtor friends and clients? Short sighted business people with poor attitude. I wouldn't give these guys a dime. Don't even consider hiring this company. read more

The short version: After 2 trips to Baldino's, they put no effort into solving my problem, and would not refund the money that they charged me for an overpriced key that did not work. Save your money, take your lock issues to a locksmith, not to Baldino's The long version: I recently purchased an expensive lock after doing some research on the Internet. The manufacturer says the key should be able to be copied anywhere. I took my key to Home Depot and purchased several copies. All of them opened the lock, but none of them turned easily. I returned the keys and went to Lowes. Same issue. I returned the key and finally decided to go to a lock smith for expert help. This is how I ended up at Baldino's. I walked into the store, set my key on the counter and began to explain the situation to the woman working there. She seemed totally uninterested in what I was saying, turned and started to copy the key. She then handed me the key and charged me a whopping $5.00 for the single key. Ok whatever... if it works I really don't care that it was 5x more expensive than Home Depot. I take the key home and try it. Same problem as all of my $1.00 keys. I called the manufacturer of the lock and asked what to do. They said any actual locksmith should be able to closely examine the keys and figure out what the problem is. So I took the key back to Baldino's. The woman spent about 3 seconds looking at the two keys and then told me that she already cut the key with the machine, and so she doesn't know what to tell me. I explained that the manufacturer told me to take the key to a locksmith for examination, and she said there's nothing she can do. I asked for my money back, and she said she can only do that if I have the originally used credit card with me. I did not, since I was expecting to leave with a new key, not a refund. I told her that I am not coming back here a 3rd time and to just keep my money if she will not refund it. I will take my business to a real locksmith. While they stole my money, I can only hope that this review costs them at least $5.00 in customers who go somewhere else after reading this review. read more

We lost the keys to our fireproof safe and needed it opened. I took it to their Chantilly location and walked out 5 minutes later with two keys. I've never needed this type of service, so I don't know how reasonable the $45 charge was...but it was definitely cheaper than replacing the safe and it's contents! read more

I visited the Chantilly store twice and both times I had exceptional service from Ray. I brought in the parts and Ray diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes. I appreciate the fact that he looked at the problem before selling me the new lock, which is what I asked for upon talking to him. Mirror adjustments and some new screws and I was ready to pay!
