Great breakfast today with the family. Service was friendly and quick; especially for our larger group. Very clean. All our meals tasted good, fresh, and served hot. Chocolate chip pancakes were very good. Pies were great as well.

We came here on Christmas because it is one of the few places open and it was a wonderful experience. Our server was friendly, and they were decked out in festive wear, which was a nice touch. The food we had was remarkable. The teriyaki salmon was so good. I didn't order it, but I tried a bite and immediately made a mental note to order it next time. Nothing they served was bad. The price is right on point, too. For 3 people to get an entrée that comes with 2 sides and bread, drinks, plus a WHOLE pie ordered to take home, it ended up costing under $75. It's a very casual dining atmosphere, with booth and table seating. It's definitely worth checking out next time you want a diner type experience with amazing food.

We come here often and appreciate service and food. They added a new menu item: breakfast sandwich. A simple but good option. While all the waitresses are good, Amy stands out in her expertise in this role.

    The Works Burger

Went there for lunch. Had a small salad and "The Works Burger". The burger was really good. Cooked to perfection. The whole meal and experience was good. My server was Ceresa (CC). She was pleasant and attentive. Everyone there was nice and pleasant. I ordered 2 slices of pie to go. Peacan and French Silk. First time I tasted the French silk. It was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was perfect. It was quiet, and comfortable

It's tough to go wrong with a restaurant that has good food served with a smile. That's been my experience since returning to this restaurant after many years. It had been a family favorite when my kids were little 15 years ago, so I was very pleased to find nothing had changed. My 16-year-old daughter needed a little cheer and some good food, so my girlfriend and I took her to Bakers Square, mainly for all of us to enjoy some pie together. My daughter revealed that she hadn't eaten much, so she ordered the Grown-up Grilled Cheese sandwich. The portion size was much larger than we expected. Most places would have served a wimpy, thin sandwich. Not here. The cheeses served were piled on heartily and the pile of fries were more than she could eat. She wound up taking half her meal home. We returned another day, this time with my best friend along. I ordered the Bakers Club sandwich and my buddy warned me he couldn't finish his the last time he came. It was huge, and I did struggle to finish. I left a lot of fries on the plate to save room for the yummy Triple Berry pie, my favorite. My daughter had breakfast, served at 6:30 in the evening. A cheese omelette with home fries and a crepe, which she devoured...then had pie. Service both times was excellent. We never had to ask for refills and the servers were very pleasant and cheerful. My one and only ding on Bakers Square is their soft drink pricing. It disappoints me that they would charge $2.69 for a soda that was served with 3/4 of a glass of ice. My buddy and I each ordered sodas, so that was almost $6 for two glasses! My fault for not checking the menu on that. Total bill for all three of us came to $48, which included the main meals and a round of pies. Overall, a very good dining experience.

This review is strictly for the pies, nothing else! Baker Square pies are my absolute favorite. Baker Square left California several years ago, so when I passed by one in Ohio I stopped dead in my tracks and had to get some pie!!! French silk is my favorite!! Also European Truffle when it is in season. They also have a mighty yummy apple pie too!!! Baker Square come back to California!!!

We went to this bakers square location on a Sunday around 1:30 pm. It was pretty packed when we arrived. We got seated in about 5 mins. Our Waitress was friendly and explained any questions we had on the menu. I ended up getting California frittata and my other half got the veggie omlette. We opted for chocolate chip pancakes and pumpkin. Overall food was good. I loved the chocolate chip pancakes !

"Hook and Hoof" has been in downtown Willoughby for quite a while so they must be doing something right. And the fact that there aren't that many high level dining establishments in the Willoughby area helps. The first thing I noticed was the facility is very narrow which lends to a crowded feel. And all you need is one overly boisterous table (which was right next to us) and the noise level can be overwhelming. The server we had for the evening was very pleasant. She did a good job being timely with everything. But, it was odd that she often did not listen to an entire request (or maybe just couldn't hear) before walking away. There were a couple of requests for simple standard items that she wasn't even sure they had. I just found it odd. The food however was excellent. The kitchen staff did an exemplary job all night. I had a marvelous cocktail from the well stocked bar. And my double cut pork chop was fantastic. So full of flavor, juicy, cooked exactly as I requested. The sides that accompanied it were just tender enough without being mushy. And my banana cream pie was great. Overall, I give "Hook and Hoof" a solid 4. I definitely can see us going back. They deserve another try. You should give them a try and see for yourself.

I will say the service was very slow, especially considering it was a Monday and hardly anyone else there - but I do acknowledge that they are a from scratch kitchen, so it makes sense. Great service, disappointing food, and dirty wine glasses…read more Our first visit but disappointed. We made reservations and indicated that it was our anniversary. When we arrived, the hostess was not at the station so we alked in. Seated immediately by the sole wait staff/bartender. No one ever acknowledged our special occassion. If you aren't going to acknowledge, why ask? We were in time for happy hour and were very pleased with the happy hour tempranillo. Not so happy about those dirty glasses. Happy hour cauliflower was tasty. The steak was not a uniform temp. Edges were medium well and inside was medium rare. The chimichurri is very parsley forward. The fish was perhaps a tad over cooked. The rice, plaintains, & salsa were just ok. Jack Daniels bread pudding was bland. The sauce tasted more of cinnamon than jack daniels and the bread pudding itself wasn't flavorful. The chocolate cake was ok. We shared a few bites, then took it home. Took us a few days to get through it and we love chocolate! Service was amazing, especially considering she also was tending bar. There were several parties dining and so far as we could tell, she kept everyone happy. If you give it a try, go for the service ... the food is just ok.

First, there really is no seating while waiting for a table. Second, the hostess underestimated our wait time. We were told 20 minutes when it actually took 45 minutes. To be fair, I don't entirely blame her. When I mentioned how long we had been waiting, she apologized for being understaffed. EVERY PLACE seems to have the same problem so I get it. But what the real issue may be for Ridgewood Kitchen is an ability to be even semi-accurate in how long it will take a table to turn over. There were three elderly couples seated at a table when we arrived. They had clearly finished their meals & were conversing. They did so for another hour & forty-five minutes! How can a restaurant deal with that?!? Ridgewood Kitchen is still a great choice for food & table service. Just be aware the wait time for a table may be considerably longer than quoted.
