Its 8pm and I am having a MAD crave for doughnuts. Look to Yelp via my phone and viola! Bakers Dozen appears onto my phone that is only 1.8 miles away. I jet my way a couple lights and I see the place. I was anticipating stale old doughnuts, which I would have been okay with because no one really has fresh doughnuts at this time. Anyhow, I buy half a dozen and the super nice owner sneaks two free doughnuts for me. I asked myself two questions. 1. Does my face look that desperate that I need a fix? 2. Does he want to get rid of as many doughnuts before he closes? I waited after I bought them to eat two in the car so he wouldnt be a witness to my rage. I inhailed two of those puppies. The doughnuts were super fluffy and moist and almost melted in your mouth. I ordered two maple bars, chocolate bars, one croissant ( blueberry), sugar and got two free glazed doughnuts. This is the best donut shop you will ever try. After having their buttermilk donut, I cannot have one from anywhere else, as it just tastes lackluster by comparison. Perhaps even more wonderful than the donuts themselves (if that's possible) are the proprietors, the most kind and personable owners imaginable. There can be a line out the door before the locals leave for work, and it is cash only, but it is definitely worth it! Your patience is rewarded with excellent service and delicious donuts! In desperate need for a caffeine fix so, I stopped at the nearest place that served coffee. It happened to be this spot. I've drove past this place for years, but have never stopped in. I'm glad I decided to try it out. I ordered a mocha iced coffee & I was also convinced to buy a chocolate bar donut lol. Both were yummy! There wasn't much left at 9am, but that's probably because they are so good! The lady behind the counter (I'm guessing was the owner) was very nice & friendly. There are hyped up donut spots, donuts embellished with all sorts of nonsense toppings that I don't need. I like the basics done right. If you don't have a good basic donut, all of the other donuts are going to suck. The Donuttery along with the usual chain shops are just whatever to me compared to the simple and delicious glaze and chocolate options that Baker's Dozen has to offer. Im not sure why Krispy Creme gets so much love, it's generic as hell. No one else makes a classic donut done right like these guys here. I also like that it's an old fashioned, community embraced donut shop with good values. Jenny is awesome, and is very much how an owner should be with their locals. Support these people! read more

Yo what a donut shop. Looks like any other mom and pop shop from the outside. The quality of the donuts here are a cut above. The apple fritter was larger than most and a bit thicker and donuty. It wasn't overcook and rock hard like a lot of them are. They put care into their donuts. If you actually like a good donut every once in a while, this is a good spot. read more

If this were based on service alone, they'd get some more stars. The iced coffee is wayyyy too sweet and the croissant tasted like it was from Costco. I had to get cash out of the ATM which cost me $2.50 but I was in a hurry so I didn't really have a choice. Then I go to pay and it costs $5! For a medium iced coffee and a croissant! Devil's food donut was dry and tasteless, pale and not at all the chocolate goodness they are meant to be. Croissant tasted of stale oil and was not flaky anywhere.
