Unfortunately she didn't win, but she should have! We live in CA and got married in CT, where my husband is from. We could not do an in-person tasting, so Ana had our cake samples overnighted to us in California. We did all of our communication via email. I was able to tell her exactly what I wanted without ever meeting her in person, and she was able to translate it absolutely perfectly into the cake of our dreams. She even developed a recipe for both the cake and the buttercream because the flavors we wanted were not offered at the time of our wedding. We had a fairly limited budget for the cake (700 or so for 100 guests) but the cake looked like it cost thousands of dollars, and was as delicious on the inside as it was beautiful. The sugar flowers looked real, and we even tried the fondant, which was delicious, even though everyone says its for decoration only. Planning a wedding from 4000 miles away is stressful enough- it was so nice to have a vendor who truly took the time to listen to what we wanted and help us come up with something absolutely perfect for our wedding. I would absolutely recommend Ana and her entire staff, and am honored to have had one of her creations as the centerpiece of my wedding.

The cinnamon rolls were a standout and truly lived up to the hype! I highly recommend having them warmed up before eating, as it makes them even better. They also offer the option to build your own bagel sandwich, and the ability to pre-order for pickup is a great added convenience. If you prefer something ready-made, their menu has great options as well. I tried the caprese toast, which was EXCELLENT.

So, with route guidance in hand, I ventured out to discover their offering. I was greeted by a bright smiling lass who directed me to 3 variations, plain, cheddar and rye. Decisions, decisions, decisions.... Elected to go with plain as this was to be an evaluation and comparison against other regional bakers. The loaf was dense and heavy. As soon as I get into the car, I had to sample. What a pleasant surprise, it was delicious... The texture was chewy and "sour" just the way it should be. No air holes or gaps. Subsequently, that evening, I made grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches using Gruyère cheese to complement the flavor of the bread.... Mindblower!! I give this a 5 star rating !! Enjoy !

As I entered, my attention was drawn to the enticing display of freshly baked goods, ranging from delectable muffins to various breads. The bakery section smelled amazing. The bakery section that's contain the breads is self-serve, where you select your bread, place them in a basket and then take them to the register. Beyond their bakery offerings, Las Delicias has a hot food section, offering a diverse array of lunch and dinner options (they also offer breakfast, but I visited after breakfast). On the other bakery side, there are cupcakes, cakes, and ice cream. The staff at Las Delicias were warm, friendly, and welcoming. I was delighted to discover that their menu could be easily accessed through the QR codes around the restaurant providing a convenient way to explore their menu. During my visit, I opted to satisfy my sweet tooth with their strawberry cake. The cake was yellow and reminiscent of sponge cake in texture with strawberry filling in the center. I couldn't resist trying their Guaguas sin relleno, a traditional bread specially decorated for the Day of the Dead.. Everything was was delicious and I look forward to visiting next time and trying their hot food and ice cream. The space use to be a bar and the bakery/restaurant still has a portion that still looks like a bar. The owners are still deciding how they will utilize that space.
