I tried part of the vanilla one and part of the apple. So cupcakes are always tasty, and these cupcakes were definitely tasty. The two I tried both had a sponge cake consistency. My wife started with the vanilla cupcake, but she commented that it didn't seem peak fresh. I liked it a bit better than she did, but I'd say it was about average for CT Bakery cupcakes in terms of texture, appearance and flavor. I'd say the same for the apple cupcake. If I was rating just the cupcakes we ate, the score would be 3 Stars, but in light of the well appointed shop and friendly service, my overall score is 3.5 Stars
