I really want to like this bakery because the bread I bought from the store tasted delicious and soft. For starters what I didn't like about the grand opening today was how disorganized everything about it was. There were two lines stretching from either side of the store's entrance. I arrived late so I expected the long wait but I overheard some people before me complain about how they been waiting for over an hour. After I finally got closer to the entrance, I ended up having to wait half an hour more because they began to let people with children only into the store. Though it does make sense to let those with children in first so that they won't have to suffer in the cold and rain outside but my feet went numb from the cold and it wasn't a very pleasant experience seeing them go in and coming back out empty handed as I continued to wait in the cold. When I finally went in, the place was very small so with all those fan girls trying to get a glimpse of the celebrities that were invited to the event it was very difficult for me to move about the bakery to see what kinds of bread there was. In addition, so many bread were sold out (which I guess was a given considering how late I went into the store but was very disappointing). Anyways, after fighting against the crowd of fangirls in the store I finally managed to buy a knotted bread with sugar sprinkled on top, a red bean bun which looked like any other bakery's red bean bun, a bun with corn and ham topped on it, a curry chicken bread which is my favorite, and a ham and egg sandwich which had too much mayo in it. The bread was surprisingly soft (but very cold ;-;) and is something I look forward to buying again on my next visit. However the grand opening event was just a mess. I was told that if I showed them the sticker that was placed on my bag, I could spin the wheel they had displayed outside the store. I looked forward to that, not because of the free picture with the celebrities, but because they had so many good deals such as a free slice of cake or a free cup of tea/coffee, or even a free T-shirt. After the long wait I looked forward to spinning the wheel, getting my prize and going home satisfied BUT they shut it down and wouldn't let me spin it anymore just because the celebrities didn't want to take pictures anymore. So all those cool prizes down the drain because one of the prizes wasn't happening (the free pic with the celebrities). I did end up getting a $10 gift card as an apology which wasn't so bad but it was so unsatisfactory leaving the bakery without spinning the wheel after a 2+ hr long wait. I feel like I jabbered on too much but my first experience with this bakery wasn't so great because of all the rude customers cutting in line and the unorganized management of this event. I hope my next visit to this bakery will be much more pleasant with more variety of bread because I did like some of the bread I bought today from this bakery. I should have taken a picture of the bread I bought but I forgot and only remembered after I ate all the bread so I apologize for that. read more
