Cost: You load a card that costs 5 pesos then use it to play games. I went there on a Tuesday and they had this weird 1 hour unlimited games (except for games that give out tickets) for 150 pesos. What concerned me the most was the extremely strong smell of fresh paint coming from the go-kart area while they were actively painting. The smell was so intense that I ended up with a headache, and I was there with my children. I really don't think an area with such strong paint fumes should be operating around families and kids. We purchased an all-inclusive package, but once inside, we realized several things still had additional charges. For example, they wanted to charge 50 pesos extra for the skating walkers/supports, something I've seen included at other skating places. I complained, and to their credit, the employees were very kind and refunded the 100 pesos. The overhead obstacle course was another issue. The safety harness was so stiff and difficult to pull that my daughters struggled to move through the course and couldn't really enjoy it. I want to be clear that the employees were attentive, friendly, and helpful. My complaint is not about the staff  it's about the condition and maintenance of the facility. For an attraction selling an "all-inclusive" experience, I expected working arcade games, better-maintained equipment, clearer information about extra charges, and most importantly, a safer environment without overwhelming paint fumes while guests and children are inside. The place has potential, but it definitely needs better maintenance and attention to the overall guest experience.

Round1 is a Japanese chain that has really taken off here in the US. We love manga and anime so checking it out felt like a must. We were blown away by the size and number of machines. The staff was friendly and we had a great time. Since then we checked out one other location that is about equal distance north from us in Mission Viejo. When we went on Sep 15 for my daughter's 9th birthday (we let her skip school) this was our 3rd time at R1 and 2nd time at this location and there was an employee who went above and beyond to seal the deal as this being our favorite location, his name was Nick. He was beyond kind to our family and happily repositioned a couple plushies that got stuck in corners and let our 6 year old exchange a frog plush that had a snag in the fur. My kids kept pointing him out and waving whenever they saw him. Super nice! my daughter also asked Mr Nick if he could put some colors of these little cat plushies down from the display part of a chibi machine bc she wanted an orange and gray to match her irl kitties and he did it, no problem. This made our birthday girl very happy and she squealed after eventually managing to get them both and said they were her favorite prizes of the day--and yes I know that the staff will reposition if you ask but Nick was just so nice about it and didn't make us feel in any way that we were annoying him. We also had fun watching him fixing a machine, something my kids and I just found interesting and were so impressed at how good he was at picking up the prizes. We have eaten ramen and takoyaki all over San Diego and LA and I will say that Round 1's ramen and takoyaki far exceeded my expectations at least for what and where it is The only downside about the day was that probably 10-15 of their crane machines were out of order. Overall we had a great couple hours and I even overcame my anxiety and tried my hand at a couple skill and big claw games (I think they're called big Gemini) which I had previously been too scared to try! My kids were very pleased with their haul, sleeping with all their new plushies. Also, immediately before falling asleep, my 6 year old muttered, "That Mr. Nick sure was nice". Like, how freakin cute is that?!
