This place is awesome! I hadn't known about this spot in all the years! I wanted to stop for clams so bad but after grabbing 2 tacos at Lidia's that was included with our tour, I was too stuffed. And frankly, I was too hot and tired to walk back down towards the food stands. The view is beautiful up here and I loved the hustle and bustle of the shops, and all the free churro and drink samples along the way down to the blow hole. BTW: I disagree with Vivian's 1-star review, it's not La Bufadora's fault you aren't familiar with transportation costs, you shouldn't knock them for your lack of knowledge. $50 for a taxi ride is actually reasonable, considering uber rates for a 45-mile trip. We paid $100 each/$200 total for 6-hour a/c, guided bus tour of the top 10 spots in Ensenada which included lunch, wine tasting and olive oil tasting. La B. was certainly the highlight of the tour and I'm glad we went that route.

The viewpoint itself is very beautiful- the vendors are very aggressive here and would highly suggest not interacting with them unless you really want something. Most of the time they will give very inflated prices upfront- all the stalls are selling the exact same items so definitely don't say yes to the first offer. Usually half it? The man playing guitar was cool and even offered to take a picture with us. Towards the view point there are clam stands. Despite all the hecking (the people in the yellow apron) we sat down at the Blanquita and ordered 2 clams which they claimed were 9 dollars. When they brought the clams out we confirmed that we only wanted two and then at the end they charged us for 4. Very dishonest and scammy!

Although this spot is called the biggest blowhole in Ensenada, it's less of a blowhole and more a space where water hits rock and spurts up. This blowhole is not like the ones in Hawaii or the Caribbean Islands, where there is a circle blowhole clearly outlined that holds its own water. The walk to the blowhole is also lined with many vendors, who all sell the same things. Very overpriced, especially if you are a tourist and/or don't speak Spanish

Good place to visit, but be aware that before you get to the blowhole, you will be passing a flea market like area where some of the vendors can be not so polite to tourists. The blowhole area itself was nice. The journey itself to this area and back gave us a great view of the local landscape. If you've never been here, then I recommend a visit, but it's the kind of placed where if you've already went once you probably wouldn't favor going again.

Located in Ensenada, Mexico, La Bufadora is the second largest marine geyser in the world! I was so excited to visit this attraction on my recent trip to Mexico. Due to construction traffic on a bridge, it took us about 2 hours to get here. We did make a couple of short 5-10 minute stops along the way. Once we reached La Bufadora, it was a bit of a challenge to sift ourselves through all of the overpowering street vendors. There were so many of them coming up to us trying to sell everything from fruity drinks, jewelry, clothes, perfume, skin care products, food and more. It felt like a scene from The Walking Dead where they were all zombies trying to devour us. We did find one street vendor that was selling handmade Mexican stone bracelets that are believed to have healing powers, so we did buy several bracelets. The vendor was kind enough to give us each a birth stone for free. Once we reached La Bufadora, we stood around waiting to see an eruption. We were lucky enough to see 4-5 small/medium sized eruptions, but definitely not the large 60ft eruptions that are known to happen if you stick around long enough. There was a man dressed in traditional Mexican Mariachi attire playing a guitar and singing as we waited for eruptions. It was nice to hear some traditional Mexican music as we waited in suspense. After about 40 minutes, we decided we had seen enough and headed back to the car. Overall, I really enjoyed La Bufadora and it was definitely worth knocking off another one of my bucket list items. However, the overwhelming street vendors really take away from the overall experience. Highly Recommended!

If you're visiting Ensenada, La Bufadora is a must! Before you actually get to the blow hole, there's a nice little strip you can walk where they sell souvenirs, drinks, food, knick knacks and a bunch of other stuff for really cheap. One of my favorite things to do when I come here is to get a pina colada and some of those grilled clams with the sauce, mmmmmm.

AVOID the ZARAPE's they are scammers

Was fine, the blowhole is neat. Be careful of sketchy businesses like the Zarape's. They fully take advantage of Americans with conversions and beverages. With so many options- avoid these guys :(

La bufadora was beautiful. Great place for pictures. Downside- very aggressive vendors- I'd say DO NOT take/hold any food you don't plan of purchasing. Apparently my nephew sampled a churro and they handed him a bag of churros and expected him to pay for it even though he didn't want it Restrooms- you need to pay - and take toilet paper from the cashier for use We bought giant clams from the folks with yellow aprons- and if you don't give them the exact amount they keep one dollar as their tip- saying "my tip for my lunch"

Tourist attraction, it's Venice beach meets ocean cliff crashes. Place to bargain for gifts. There's lots of people giving samples of churros, piña coladas and dulces. Great place to visit for some pictures and surprise splashes.

I absolutely love visiting the Bufadora! I've been visiting Ensenada for more than 15 years. The Bufadora never ceases to amaze me. From the beautiful drive, to the walks in the market, and finally to the famous blow-hole. Of course, like any tourist location, be cautious of tourist traps or overpaying of select goods. Arriving: Simply punch in La Bufadora in your GPS and you're on your merry way. When you arrive, I'd recommend driving all the way down past the bend and finding a spot down there. We only paid $40 pesos ($2 dollars) for parking. Please ensure you don't leaving any valuables or bags in your vehicle. Walking the Market: The locals take advantage of the spectacle and have lined both sides of the walk with items for sale. You can find sandals, shirts, shot glasses, fake brand bags, knifes, toys, and more. I would definitely look for the best price and then haggle for a better price. I'd also recommend grabbing a roasted corn or corn in the cup, roasted oysters with cheeses and chili, and also some alcohol. Once you've reached the end, you'll see people lined up to see the water blow. The Bufadora: Hopefully on the day you visit, the waves are high and strong. The higher and stronger, the stronger the blowhole. This last time we went, it was the highest I ever saw it. We even got soaked on one blow. I'd avoid using the bathrooms.

Beautiful coastal view. Blow hole was cool, you just have to have a lot of patience and wait for that perfect blow. Lots of vendors, food and drinks...and you may even encounter a wild animal.

So, pretty much any coastal view is beautiful right. And this is definitely true with Ensenada. However, La Bufadora is actually kind of boring to me. Maybe not to others, but to me it was. I'd rather go shopping at the little souvenir stands and get a margarita in a pineapple.

Beautiful view here.
