We came out to let our kids try snow cones for the first time. This day had a forecast reading of "feels like" 115. I genuinely couldn't believe how hot it was. Running errands was almost impossible. We stopped by to cool down with snow cones after. It's a messy experience with toddlers but we knew that going into it. Enjoyed our rainbow and tiger sugar flavors and our kids added gummy worms to theirs. read more

It's been unbearably hot in TX over the last few weeks, so I had to swing through the drive-thru for a refreshment. I ordered the watermelon mango sunrise, which is marketed to be a smoothie that's made with real fruit and yogurt. Based on the mild fruit flavor I got out of the smoothie idk how true that is, which is where the 3/5 rate comes in. The fact that watermelon season runs approx May-Sept & the fact I've never had a flavorless mango I was hoping it'd have a strong watermelon and mango taste. Instead you get very mild hints of mango (nothing of watermelon) & lots of an after taste that I can't describe, but likely comes from whatever yogurt is being used. It wasn't awful but it's not a drink I'd personally get again. If I come back again it'll be to try either their açaí smoothie or their Sno cones, as they have more flavors than I've ever seen at a sno cone place. read more

First timer this weekend and it was so good! We ordered the new Shadow Sno (like a strawberry with cream flavor) and Sonic Sno (blue raspberry with sour patch sauce). We got smalls but could have gotten the size even smaller as we could barely finish these. They were a little pricey for some snow cones, but we also probably were charged extra for these limited time sonic the hedgehog flavors. Overall I'd come back to try other flavors - it's a perfect way to beat the Texas heat in the summer. read more

Our order didn't get made correctly...which isn't the end of the world. But when I called to tell them about their mistake, I was directed to their online complaint portal that they said goes directly to the manager. I completed the online complaint form; but haven't heard back in almost 2 weeks. I completed the form again, but again no response. read more

I want to start by saying my wife and I love this place. I would come here twice a week, but there is a reason for the rating. I don't know that I have ever been to this location and not waited less that 20 minutes. Is there a line? No. Sometimes there are 3 cars and it takes that long. As I sit here tonight I ordered 30 minutes ago. There are still 3 people in front of me. The reason I rate it so low was about a week ago I was here and waited the normal 20 minutes. When I got to the window I said "not trying to mean and I'm not mad, but what takes so long for shaved ice?" The girl said "we just take our time and work slow cause we like to". Unreal. read more

Consistently slow. I've been when they had five people inside the building working: one taking orders/accepting payment, one making all of the sno cones and drinks, three sitting around telling the one making the sno cones to hurry up. The sno cones and drinks are good, but the slowness is unnecessary. read more

Snotty Attitude - Terrible Service. This place has gone down hill in a major way. The young person taking my order (for my kids who were at home) via drive thru was rude and honestly obnoxious at the end. I clearly stated, on a nice day w/no outside noise, my order. The attitudey employee asked me to repeat my order over 10 times. I was curt on the 10th time, could hear their mic go on mute and then saw all of the employees chuckling through the glass. The employee then came back on the mic and harassed me to repeat order another 3 times, while laughing. I pulled to the window and was greeted with more attitude and all were taking turns walking w/in sight to laugh. I'm sincerely at a loss for the reason for this, truly astonishing by any measure and just uncalled for. Another employee handed me the 3rd and final item from the order, then I told him "Please tell whoever took my order, that she's not very good at her job". I will never be back and will spread the word about this place, stay away. read more

Welp halfway through my snowcone and found two eyelashes. Some would say this is petty but I'm grossed out so that's first. Other than that line was short, I typically go to mom and pop shaved ice shops but tried Bahamas Bucks today due to them being open later than most. The line was shorter, they have holiday themed snowcones- I got one. The Christmas tree on one side and mangonada on the other side. They both weren't good. I hate to be all negative but they were over sweet with sprinkles in every crevasse of the snowcone. Anyway - disappointed to say the least but they delivered on the quality of shaved ice at least. read more

We were running late to Kid Strong in Sachse Saturday when we passed a snow cone stand and my daughter asked for one. I said we didn't have time, but maybe afterwards. Low and behold, Bahama Bucks is in the same parking lot as Kid Strong, so, super convenient. The weather was amazing so we walked over after class. A woman had just ordered a bunch of gift cards ahead of me, so I took the time to check out the app while waiting. What a nice surprise, I had a free item waiting for me in my app! (You get a free drink for signing up in the app, which I forgot I had!) My daughter said she wanted Tiger's Blood and Strawberry with gummy bears on top. I didn't even know she knew what Tiger's Blood was, let alone that you could put gummy bears on top. I told the young man working that I had a free drink so I'd just order through the app and he told me I could still order through him and use the coupon, which was great because the kid was dying to tell him exactly what she wanted. They made it lightning fast and it came with the coolest color changing spoon. I'm not a big snow cone fan myself, but I had to try it, and it was the best I'd ever had by far... and well, a happy five-year-old makes a happy mama. read more

The website says you can order 1.5hrs ahead online & offers party packs. I placed an order at 4p for a Flavor Party Pack for 6:15p pick up only for the manager to call me 10min later to tell me that I need to place a Flavor Pack order 24hrs in advance. Although i appreciate the quick response, Why even offer it on the online order site? I don't think that's a complicated order. Also, you have to wait ONE WEEK for a refund. Pulled up, there is about 12 cars in the drive-thru and 6 people at walk-up. No one is moving for a while. Don't have 45 mins to wait. This place looks like a place you'd see at the beach. It has a DRIVE THRU and a walk up area which is perfect for a sunny day. This place used to be AMAZING!! as they truly offer a great product, but within this last year or two it seems to be managed more by the teens who work there and less quality control is happening. As I sit now behind 3 cars waiting for a drink watching two of them play with the ice machine (after hearing them playfully giggling over the inrercom) I'm getting more and more impatient as I do have a babysitter waiting at home. Totally unprofessional, as addiction gone bad :( read more

I can't believe this place has been around this long and this was my first time visiting! This is my new snow cone joint from now on and I am looking forward to getting another Strawberry Cheesecake with strawberry ice cream snow cone. It's actually called the "Bahama Rama Mama." They are a bit pricey but worth every penny. I got a small and with the added ice cream it was around $5.50 or so. I'm sure this place gets packed in the summer months because it was pretty full last night and here it is fall now. They had a long list of great flavors and a variety of other things like several sodas and smoothies that they make. You'll love this place, trust me. read more

This specific location gets a 1 star, but Bahama Bucks itself gets a 5 star. My go to is the birthday cake with extra party sprinkles. Mmm.. I dont know how BB makes their ice so creamy, but omg it is Heaven sent. Service: Horrible. 3/3 times I came to this specific location, they've messed up my order then made it seem like it was my fault. The first time I ordered blue coconut, but got a blue raspberry instead, they said "well thats what I heard you say". Second time they put my sprinkles on my friend's order and then asked "can you eat it or do you want me to remake it". Third time they forgot my sprinkles again (I clearly give way too many shts about sprinkles), but said I didn't even order it. I showed her my receipt (which by the way she handed me) after taking my order that clearly states I got charged for sprinkles. She didn't say anything and didn't even make eye contact or say anything when she brought back my shaved ice. Never again. read more

This is always a go to place to get shaved ice especially on a hot day. I love this place! They have plenty of flavors to choose from. My favorite flavor here is the birthday cake. It's a dead on flavor and when you get the frozen cream on it, it will blow your mind. You can get a B.R.M which is ice cream on the bottom of it and it's great. Terrible service... Wait time is ridiculous to wait for a snow cone . We even did a order on the app for curbside and even then they had us wait 15 min more because they hadn't even started making them . It literally takes this place 12 minutes per car on average to get a snow cone. I arrived at 7:39 and I'm still here at 8-40. 7 cars were in front of me. On top of that, e everytime I come to the window, the kid reads me an order and asks if it's mine. I reply no. I then repeat my order and it's still screwed up. Whoever is managing this place needs to be fired. Straight up ridiculous. 5 kids in here and they can't put ice in a cup and pour syrup. Rocket science. I've given this place so many tries to try and get it right and they still can't. I love shaved ice and I know it what good shaved ice is, and this IS NOT IT. Bahama Buck's used to be really good and extremely satisfying! That, however, no longer holds true. Bahama Buck's prices are ridiculous while the delivered product is sub-par. The company is more concerned with high profit than good quality product. Over the years, the Hwy. 78 location has skimmed on the amount of flavored juice placed in each snow cone. Bahama Buck's prices have always been higher than competitors, yet the quality of the Buck product can no longer compete. Bahama Buck's should consider going back to the "quality" practices that made you a successful business. Business full of Kids Pulled in here at 7pm and ordered 2 smoothies and 3 snow cones. It took about 30 minutes to receive our smoothies and we didn't get our snow cones for another 45 minutes. When they finally gave us the snow cones they forgot one and had to remake it. After remaking it was still made wrong. For the third attempt they were about to give it to us and they ended up spilling it. And if you think the amount of time was bad the people working there were much worse. Bahama Buck's - At night! - Desserts Near Me - Sachse, Texas

Had one of the worst experiences here last night. We got there at about 6:30pm and walked right up to the order window. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge our existence. About that time the phone rang inside and two of the teenage employees raced to the phone, causing one of them to smash into a drink that was waiting at the window. The drink exploded everywhere inside leaving pink drink over the register computer and up the window. After the cleanup, the window opened and our order was taken on notebook paper. We waited for over 40 minutes for 4 snow cones. The cups were handed to us still dripping with the syrup, and syrup all over the hand of the server. 2 of the 4 orders were wrong, but we were just glad to be getting something after that wait. One other customer made the comment that he waited over 40 minutes for one snow cone. This location has been terrible the last few visits. The trash dumpster (conveniently located next to the seating area) smells like something out of the zoo, the tables were dirty, and the staff was slow and incompetent. We will be taking our business elsewhere and suggest you do the same. read more
