It's been unbearably hot in TX over the last few weeks, so I had to swing through the drive-thru for a refreshment. I ordered the watermelon mango sunrise, which is marketed to be a smoothie that's made with real fruit and yogurt. Based on the mild fruit flavor I got out of the smoothie idk how true that is, which is where the 3/5 rate comes in. The fact that watermelon season runs approx May-Sept & the fact I've never had a flavorless mango I was hoping it'd have a strong watermelon and mango taste. Instead you get very mild hints of mango (nothing of watermelon) & lots of an after taste that I can't describe, but likely comes from whatever yogurt is being used. It wasn't awful but it's not a drink I'd personally get again. If I come back again it'll be to try either their açaí smoothie or their Sno cones, as they have more flavors than I've ever seen at a sno cone place. read more

First timer this weekend and it was so good! We ordered the new Shadow Sno (like a strawberry with cream flavor) and Sonic Sno (blue raspberry with sour patch sauce). We got smalls but could have gotten the size even smaller as we could barely finish these. They were a little pricey for some snow cones, but we also probably were charged extra for these limited time sonic the hedgehog flavors. Snotty Attitude - Terrible Service. This place has gone down hill in a major way. The young person taking my order (for my kids who were at home) via drive thru was rude and honestly obnoxious at the end. I clearly stated, on a nice day w/no outside noise, my order. The attitudey employee asked me to repeat my order over 10 times. I was curt on the 10th time, could hear their mic go on mute and then saw all of the employees chuckling through the glass. The employee then came back on the mic and harassed me to repeat order another 3 times, while laughing. I pulled to the window and was greeted with more attitude and all were taking turns walking w/in sight to laugh. I'm sincerely at a loss for the reason for this, truly astonishing by any measure and just uncalled for. I want to start by saying my wife and I love this place. I would come here twice a week, but there is a reason for the rating. I don't know that I have ever been to this location and not waited less that 20 minutes. Is there a line? No. Sometimes there are 3 cars and it takes that long. We were running late to Kid Strong in Sachse Saturday when we passed a snow cone stand and my daughter asked for one. I said we didn't have time, but maybe afterwards. Low and behold, Bahama Bucks is in the same parking lot as Kid Strong, so, super convenient. The weather was amazing so we walked over after class. A woman had just ordered a bunch of gift cards ahead of me, so I took the time to check out the app while waiting. What a nice surprise, I had a free item waiting for me in my app! (You get a free drink for signing up in the app, which I forgot I had!) My daughter said she wanted Tiger's Blood and Strawberry with gummy bears on top. I didn't even know she knew what Tiger's Blood was, let alone that you could put gummy bears on top. I told the young man working that I had a free drink so I'd just order through the app and he told me I could still order through him and use the coupon, which was great because the kid was dying to tell him exactly what she wanted. They made it lightning fast and it came with the coolest color changing spoon. This is my new snow cone joint from now on and I am looking forward to getting another Strawberry Cheesecake with strawberry ice cream snow cone. It's actually called the "Bahama Rama Mama." They are a bit pricey but worth every penny. I got a small and with the added ice cream it was around $5.50 or so. The company is more concerned with high profit than good quality product. Over the years, the Hwy. 78 location has skimmed on the amount of flavored juice placed in each snow cone. Bahama Buck's prices have always been higher than competitors, yet the quality of the Buck product can no longer compete. Bahama Buck's should consider going back to the "quality" practices that made you a successful business. Business full of Kids Pulled in here at 7pm and ordered 2 smoothies and 3 snow cones. It took about 30 minutes to receive our smoothies and we didn't get our snow cones for another 45 minutes. When they finally gave us the snow cones they forgot one and had to remake it. After remaking it was still made wrong. For the third attempt they were about to give it to us and they ended up spilling it. And if you think the amount of time was bad the people working there were much worse. Had one of the worst experiences here last night. We got there at about 6:30pm and walked right up to the order window. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge our existence. About that time the phone rang inside and two of the teenage employees raced to the phone, causing one of them to smash into a drink that was waiting at the window. The drink exploded everywhere inside leaving pink drink over the register computer and up the window. After the cleanup, the window opened and our order was taken on notebook paper. We waited for over 40 minutes for 4 snow cones. The cups were handed to us still dripping with the syrup, and syrup all over the hand of the server. 2 of the 4 orders were wrong, but we were just glad to be getting something after that wait. One other customer made the comment that he waited over 40 minutes for one snow cone. This location has been terrible the last few visits. The trash dumpster (conveniently located next to the seating area) smells like something out of the zoo, the tables were dirty, and the staff was slow and incompetent. We will be taking our business elsewhere and suggest you do the same. read more
