Here's the Scoop! Bahama Breeze has become one of the spots I love since I went to one in Tampa, Florida 10 yrs. ago. The menu has changed since I first went to the one in Tampa. There are still some tasty items on there menu like the tacos, empanadas, jerk chicken, coconut shrimp, sweet plantains. The drinks are also delicious. They create different drinks in the Summer as well. There's outdoor seating with music and the decor inside reminds you of being on the island. Love it! Casual dressing.

Shrimp Pineapple Bowl

Came for my cousin birthday celebration. We had an area sectioned off which was about 6-7 tables. Waitress was decent and service was too bad. Restaurant had Caribbean feel to it and the music to match. For appetizers I got coconut shrimp and my mother had wings. For dinner we both had pineapple fried rice with shrimp. There was too much sauce on the rice but I did like the multiple shrimps that came in the dish. Entree was alright. The food is okay not sure I'll go back. However the service at this location is good. We did have an issue with the bill (we weren't charged correctly) but the waitress explained and it was understandable

The ambience is nice but the food is mediocre. I didn't like it at all. Bland and tasteless. A waste of my hard earned $90. Ordered the chicken wings starter, the snapper dish as a main dish and sides of plantain and mash. The plantain tasted like fried from frozen, the chicken wings although very hot and freshly fried was tasteless, the snapper was tough. Couldn't have been fresh. The service was just ok. Nothing exceptional. Not bad, not great. Just in balance. Maybe the happy hour will be better. The pineapple drink in the pineapple was super. The outdoor seating is nice though hence my three stars.

I'm back again! No doubt this is a great place to go for dinner. I love their new additions and once again the service was great. Our waitress Cheyenne was very nice and was spot on for her recommendations for drinks, we had very similar tastes. I had the Carnival Flight, and we both happened to enjoy the Barbados Rum Punch the best. So next time I am back I know I will likely just get that, but the flight was great overall too. For an appetizer my husband and I shared the Tuna Tostada Stack which was absolutely delicious. He had the Island Snapper and I had the Jerk Mahi Mahi. Both excellent dishes, and the Mahi Mahi had a little kick but not too much, was paired nicely with the rice and tomatoes. Also, great ambiance and not too loud. Great date place. Of course I'll be back again!

Love Bahama breeze! I usually go there for happy hour, but this time I went there for dinner with family. It is always busy but you don't wait long. For those who haven't been there, it's a Caribbean fusion restaurant. It has a lot of options from seafood, to pastas, and Caribbean fusion foods. This time I went, for appetizers, we had the beef empanadas. For dinner I had the lobster and shrimp linguine, my sister had the skirt steak, and my mom had the jerk chicken. My mom advised us the jerk chicken was salty, but me and my sister liked our food. Our server Thomas was really nice full of energy very attentive to us, even though it was busy, definitely will go back and have dinner again!

Fry shortage

NEVER AGAIN!!!! - Let's start with when my father and I walked in. We asked for a booth. Mind you there are six booths open, and the guy said "oh it's about a 5 to 10 minute wait." We point out 5 open booths and he just says, "you guys can go sit there" - I can't even begin to tell you about how terrible the food was. The appetizers were Costco crap. They tasted like total trash. The burger was soggy. My bun was wet. I had a full plate of fries while my father's plate had about a quarter of that! Pictured below. - About 10 minutes into SEATING OURSELVES, they turn the music off and the DJ begins to play club music and the CHA CHA SLIDE AT AN ISLAND GRILL, how about some reggae!! - The hosts at the front counter were also eating instead of sitting aside taking an ACTUAL BREAK. Pictured below. Will NOT be returning, EVER!!!!

I've always wanted to try Bahama Breeze and I finally got around to it! The restaurant was clean and quiet. I visited during the afternoon and there were only a handful of guests inside. The hostess was welcoming and friendly! I ordered the vegetarian Jamaican stuffed plantain bowl and it was nothing short of delicious. The white rice, black beans and cheese tasted scrumptious underneath the tomatoes and corn. The food received by others in my party included the tequila salmon and honey butter chicken sandwich. Everyone thought their plates tasted great. I will return to try other dishes. I love the interior of Bahama Breeze; it's definitely a wonderful place for celebration dinners with its fun island vibe. The dishes are bursting with flavor! I only hope they bring one further down to the nyc area.

Great island atmosphere. We had two drinks, Bahama Mama and Ultimate Pineapple, really good! There was a crab cake dip, beef empanadas with some ridiculously good pineapple sauce! For dinner I had the steak and coconut shrimp......... soooooo good! My steak was overcooked but I was given and entire meal steam cooked to perfection and since I had to wait I ate the rest and only ate the new steak so I had free lunch lol

Margarita Flight (Classic, Dragon Fruit & Coconut-Pineapple)

My wife and I was in the area and Bahama Breeze is a fav of ours so we stopped in for lunch. It was early afternoon so it wasn't crowded yet. The hostess sat us immediately and strict Covid-19 restrictions were in place. Our waiter Mack came over and introduced himself. He informed us of the special drinks and answered all our questions in their entirety. After a pleasant conversation we ordered the Margarita Flight (Classic, Dragon Fruit & Coconut-Pineapple) for drinks and the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos Served with a side of guacamole for our lunch. For additional sides my wife ordered a salad with Blue cheese and I had the black beans with rice. We were brought 2 glasses of water and with our flights. The classic was the best for us, then the Coconut, a little heavy but really good, the dragon we found a little sweet but we were told it was one of their more popular drinks. Then our meals came out. The Mahi Mahi was awesome, wife's salad with blue chees dressing was also awesome with chunks of Blue Cheese. My black beans and rice was also very good. We asked for a side of chips to go with the guac. Mack gave us some chips with plantain chips on the house. My wife and I enjoyed our lunch tremendously, the food was great, our waiter Mack was outstanding, efficient, friendly, informative and polite, he really knows his job. He made of feel very welcomed and the atmosphere was also very nice. We don't live nearby but if in the area again we would definitely return and try some other delicious drinks and food and will definitely ask for Mack to be our waiter.

We celebrated fathers day at bahama breeze in smithtown and there was an incredible musician playing the steel drums does anyone know his name?

Hi Christopher! The steel drummer who performed at our Lake Grove location this past weekend is Gerard Ector. We're glad you enjoyed his music!

I absolutely adore this spacious garage themed eatery. Bright colors, vintage pictures and signs and actual cars! The Honey and I had dinner here on Sunday, April 12th, 2026. We were in the area and decided to check it out. We were seated promptly and our server James greeted us warmly when he arrived at our table. The Honey had the meatloaf entree with two sides and I opted for the Ahi Tuna Bowl. Both meals were absolutely delicious! My bowl was bursting with lettuce, cabbage, avocado, wonton strips and the salad dressing just pulled everything together! We were satisfied but still craved dessert. James suggested the homemade Key Lime pie....he said the company was Florida based. He did say all the desserts were good but, if you like Key Lime we needed to try it. That pie was the creamiest, Key Lime I've ever had!! And the graham cracker crust? (Chef's Kiss) What a fun, laid back place to enjoy some good food with family and friends! Our waitress gave us time to really look at the menu and put our app orders in before entree. There were weekday deals available also. I love how everything was Ford mechanic shop themed, it made for an eye catching experience especially for my friends 1 year old. The staff quickly prepared a booster seat for her as well. Although there was not a kids menu available in the regular one, when we inquired there was a variety offered for the young one. We got the nachos with chicken it was a HUGE PORTION, definitely too much for two adults we took more than half home. I had the Cali Roadster burger which was just my size (smaller than the traditional burgers) with avocado slices , garlic aioli and pepper jack cheese. Yummy but slightly messy wouldn't ask for that on a business lunch. The kid got Mac and cheese with some grilled chicken and mom a bison burger. Zero complaints. It was a nice first time experience. I would definitely go back to try some other stuff. I loved how the venue was an experience in itself.

To top it off, there was a young guy singing Frank Sinatra classics in the middle of the week, which gave the place such a fun and classy vibe. For appetizers, we tried the wonton nachos, which were absolutely delicious. The meatballs and mozzarella were good, though a bit heavier on the bread than I prefer. Dinner was outstanding across the board. We ordered the Chicken Caesar salad, hamburger, crab cakes, and the Rockefeller French dip, and every single dish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The old back room had been transformed into an official party room with a separate bar and restroom and closed off with decorative barn doors. The bar area offers ample seating, with the dining area ( offering table service) behind the bar wall overlooking the main stage. Greeted warmly greeted when we first entered with only a five minute wait ( we had a reservation and I highly recommend making one). Again warmly welcomed by our server Nicole who provided an outstanding service throughout the evening. Nicole was friendly, engaging and offered excellent dinner and drink suggestions. Live music was on tap on this Friday evening which did make the dining room rather loud for holding table conversations but worth the live music being played that evening. The cocktail menu offers a good and varied selection of mixed drinks and wine and the mixed drinks are both flavorful and expertly presented. I would highly recommend both the Flappers Folly ( a refreshing floral mix) and the Espresso Martini drinks. Started off with the hot honey & bacon brussel sprout appetizers which were perfectly flavored with the honey and bacon bits over crispy brussel sprouts. All main dish items were very good. The Old Sport Burgers were juicy, flavorful and all cooked to perfection served with crispy string French fries. The French Dip Au Jus was well seasoned and not to dry with a flavorful au jus. I would highly recommend the Gatsby Grain dish bowel. Shredded chicken served over jasmine rice and vegetables was outstanding and served with a side salad. Restaurant manager Cathy was very visible in the dining room checking in with every table and asking for feedback which you don't see very often nowadays. Even got a personal tour of the new party room ( looking for a location for a future event). Overall good food reasonably priced , excellent service and nice decorum with live music offered on the weekends. A great place to grab a drink and listen to music while catching a great burger or the Gatsby Grain dish bowel . You won't be disappointed.

The host was mopping the host stand so we had to maneuver around the waiting area while waiting for our whole party to arrive. Our waiter was very nice regardless and got everything correct, just took a while to get his attention sometimes. Otherwise, eating here is as nice as ever, and seemed clean. As I mentioned, we went here to try this new burger. My friend and I both agreed that it wasn't bad, but the queso really didn't add much to the burger flavor, just made the bun soggy. The burger was very good on its own, and I will just order that alone next time. Unfortunately, after dinner, I was left with a major stomach ache that lasted throughout the night. My friend, who didn't have dessert, had the same issue. I will definitely not be ordering this again and can't recommend it! Otherwise, this is a spot I have been to many times and will visit again. It's local, the food is overall good when you stick to the basics, ambiance is clean and cozy, and the staff is great.
