Inviting atmosphere and by far the best Indian food I've had in the US! My husband and I shared an appetizer and a couple of entrees. The flavors and textures exceeded our expectations (the pindi chole was exceptional!). Our only small complaint is that the tandoori roti didn't taste like it was truly cooked in a tandoor, though it was still delicious. Also worth noting, our server brought us small packs of candied fennel after our meal. We were delighted! It was a truly authentic and enjoyable dining experience, both elevated and nostalgic. I've been wanting to try this place as I've seen some glowing reviews that were being posted. I think the service was great. Attentive, accommodating, quick to get us anything we need. Ambiance is so so. A little dressed up version of a casual restaurant though their instagram would suggest otherwise. Drinks were ok. The go go goa was good. The Jalisco to Haryana was not good had to send back. Super tart no flavor. Food was a bit more confusing. The reshmi kabab was terrible. Super dry hard. Reshmi means silky and typically this kabab is just that. Nope not here. The chicken Kathi roll was very mediocre, not much flavor. Their main course saved the meal. We got the mutton Rogan Josh and paneer lababdar which were pretty good. Good amount of paneer and mutton pieces . Mutton was pretty soft. Romali roti was very soft. Butter naan was as expected. I'd say overall experience was mediocre at best. Their marketing made it seem like it'd be a more than I think it actually was. I'd say it's like any other average casual indian restaurant out there where some dishes are good and some aren't. Ps I'm Indian myself, go to india all the time, and cook myself. Very professional and very polite. She went above and beyond as far as customer service is concerned. She's a kind soul. When we visit back in Arizona, we will definitely stop by there. What a flavorful Indian restaurant! An absolute culinary delight! We tried a lot of the vegetarian fare and all the dishes had its own distinct flavor and presentation! The Galouti kebabs, mushroom tikka and the paneer tikka brought out authentic tandoori notes. The pani puri was yum- a family favorite. Their Dal Bukhara is the ace in the menu- you cannot miss it! Reminded me of Bukhara ITC Maurya in Delhi. The saag paneer, Chana Pindi, Butter paneer masala were very good as well. The Roomali Roti on the menu was a pleasant surprise; haven't had that in the valley before and the Amritsari kulcha were fabulous. Bahaara's open and warm ambience and the environment (particularly the Hindustani classical music), coupled with its nostalgic culinary experience was a win in my book. read more

If I wasn't writing on behalf of my family I probably would give Bahaara 5 stars, but I am including their input as we usually dine out as a family. I had the paneer with the saffron rice. It was amazing. The tang and perfect sweetness in the tomato sauce reminds me of the tomatoes I grow in my yard, which of course is always better than canned tomato sauce. The chef did come out and tell us that he used cherry tomatoes and that it brings a natural sweetness without adding sugar. It was delicious. It was smooth but had texture too. The saffron rice along with the pickles were a perfect complement to the meal. I also had the magi lassi which, unbeknownst to me, also comes in salty and sweet! I don't claim to be an expert in Indian food but I have experienced many Indian restaurants and I would say this was one of the best. My daughter had butter chicken, saffron rice, naan, and the lychee spritzer. She really enjoyed the food but was less enthusiastic about the noise and wondering staff (who were perfectly pleasant but seemed to hover and peak over the wall a lot). It was around 2 so the lunch crowd had dissipated at that point but obviously their shifts shifts were not over. She enjoyed the ambiance and really liked her drink. The "refresher" or sugared anis at the end of the meal was a cool and unique touch to the Bahaara experience. We also ordered the butter chicken as carry out for my husband at home. He enjoyed his meal as well. We ordered it with medium heat but it did not seem any warmer than my daughter's order which was mild. It was still very enjoyable and he said, "I would eat there again." That is a win for Bahaara Indian Kitchen. In all it was a lovely experience and we will be back! read more

We ended up walking out after being seated because there was incense burning that was so strong and cloying that we could taste it on our tongues just sitting in the restaurant. Excellent food and service. It is a must go restaurant with family and friends. This was our first visit and we really liked it. I like how Nicole took a personal care for all our needs. The Manager Hardy also needs to be acknowledged here. While we were waiting for our food they served us Pani Poori on the house. We were a party of six and had come to celebrate my brother's Birthday. We were expecting a great experience as far as the quality of food is concerned as the other reviews of the restaurant stated. However, our experience was not so good. We ordered Fish Amritsari which was anything but the fish you get in Amritsar. It was not spiced properly and was bland. Also the waiter said that that fish was Sea Bass which was a lie, I suspect it was Vietnamese Basa. The Dal Bukhara is certainly not the Dal you get at Bukhara Restaurant in New Delhi and was no patch on the original. The Goat Rara did not have any Keema which was a few small pieces of undercooked Goat meat and full of onion gravy. The Butter chicken had a peculiar sweet taste and did not taste good. The Seekh kebab was reasonably good And flavorful. The ambiance is good. The service though slow was ok considering the Restaurant is new and still finding it's feet. The wet towels offered after the meal was great and helped clean the messy fingers. I hope our experience is better when and if we ever go back again. read more

Absolutely delicious food!! Prepared with love and pride. I stopped in by myself last minute on my way home (October 4th). The restaurant was very clean, bustling with/business and very inviting. I believe it was one of the owners that hurriedly greeted me when I arrived. Seemed a bit more concerned about his business over the people.....not super friendly. Not sure he wanted to give me a table because I was alone, would have come across better if he just asked if I minded sitting at the bar. I understand, he just wanted to accommodate all who came to dine. After that Nitu came to my table and could not have been more pleasant. Nitu is the other owner. Very kind and inviting. I ordered the Bhalla Papdi Chaat. Truly one of the best things I have EVER tasted!! FABULOUS! I also had the Tandoori Platter. Because everything is so expensive now, expectations are higher. Maybe plain rice could be included where it is not? The garlic naan was so very good. Prepared lighter/thinner than others I've had. Delicious, served piping hot. Plenty left over from the Tandoori Platter to take home to the hubs. Overall fantastic experience. Musfiqur was my server. Absolutely so kind, but maybe stretched a bit thin with so many guests.
