Went back to give her another try. It was still just ok... but I'm adding a star so that's a step in the right direction. We went a new way with our order. This time my husband and i picked apps. My kids had mac and cheese and a burger both were pleased. We had the new cauliflower app (do not recommend, the sauce is wrong), onion rings (were meh) and fries (good). I like the touch pads to order the food, i think that speeds it up. I like that my kids are happy. There is a super surley hostess who was there last time were there who is so sour she takes the wind out of your sails from the start of the experience. I wouldn't normally comment on the staff...but as soon as I saw her i thought, "oh gahhhh, i remember her". It isn't going to win a Michelin star. But it is good. Great customer service and good food! We experienced the burger and grilled chicken sandwich along with fries and salads. The burger and fries are good and tasty. Salad ingredients were fresh. The grilled chicken was a little on the greasy/rich side with all the sautéed onions, cheese ...etc. I am sure you can customize it making it a healthier meal, as their customer service is a top notch. I had heard about this place many times from a few friends. My husband and I decIded to stop in on our way home for dinner. I was not disappointed! The food is great. You basically can make your own burger with a whole bunch of different options for toppings. They have pre-chosen burgers also (Which is what my husband got) but I tried out the design your own. Burger was perfectly cooked and juicy. They're a great aize also not too small not to big. I mean the prices are more than let's say red robin but you're getting twice the flavor in my opinion. Fries are delicious. My toddler had the chicken tenders and fries and he destroyed them. So I would give those an A+ also. We have made a special trip to visit again. read more

Honestly don't have anything negative to say about our experience at Bagger Dave's. This was our first time at this chain so I can't compare it to other locations, but we received prompt and very helpful service as well as good food! Our burgers were big and tasty. Can't go wrong with the plain cheeseburger! Fries were good although I wish they were a little crispier. I like that everything, including the sodas, are made in house. Not impressed. My friends and I came here for drinks and dinner on 12/2/23 and left extremely dissatisfied. We got there, we were immediately sat which was great and then no one greeted us for nearly 15 minutes before my boyfriend had to go to the hostess stand to get someone. Then, the hostess had to take our drink order and I was the only one who ended up getting an a drink because they were out of Angry Orchard and LaBatt. Another 10 mins go by then our actual server, Shelley, Shelby or Shelia (can't remember her name) came to take our food order and they were also out of chicken tenders. When we got the food, the burger bun was so soggy because they drenched the bun in ranch when she had asked for it not to be on it. She never checked on us again until the end for the bill, no drink refills or anything. I'm glad my girlfriend's dad suggested we come here... this is another incidence where Yelp isn't just wrong, but far from it. We came here at 7ish on a Wednesday evening to a mostly empty restaurant inside (outside was a bit busier). Our service was fine, unlike many here are saying, and we also all really liked the food. I had a "bowl" of chili at their Detroit location and was insulted at the price, but thought it was good. Here I got a 4oz burger with bacon, a fried egg, bleu cheese, creamy Sriracha sauce, lettuce, and onion on a brioche bun. The bun was a little dry, but the burger was really surprisingly good. It was a little overcooked for my liking but I didn't mind. They absolutely loaded my burger with the Sriracha sauce, making it the messiest burger I've ever eaten. They also have very good fries, which taste great dipped in their garlic buffalo sauce which, incidentally, tastes a whole lot like the Spicy Garlic sauce from BWW. The spicy macaroni and cheese was also great. I've found a new favorite chain restaurant, for sure. All while eating I asked myself a couple times if I was sober and I was. The only downfall of Bagger Daves is probably that it's just a little too ovewhelming. The menu is a monster, and then they also have a create-your-own burger and fries menu. One of the best sit-down restaurants in Birch Run, and a much better experience than the BWW that shares the same building. TL;DR: Awesome food, even when sober. read more

This one was dry, with the cheese on top that looked and tasted like it was flattened and overcooked prior to it going on the burger. It wasn't melted, but "crispy." The fries were a bit overcooked. We came to bagger daves for lunch on a Monday afternoon. We walked in and sat right down. They should have better signage for where the hostess stand is, and our hostess didn't even greet us. She just walked us to a table and walked away. Haha But now to the positive part! When we first we're getting settled my 2 year old noticed the train circling the room, and went crazy!!! Two stars here. We all agreed our food was pretty tasty, and the server was a bundle of joy, but there were massive flaws in the kitchen. First, everyone's food was cold. It's like it sat there waiting to be brought out for a few minutes before it actually was. The veggie burger especially was very cold and gave my wife stomach cramps after. My mahi mahi burger tasted great, but again, was lukewarm. Our extended family had similar issues. Another issue was the quality of the sweet potato chips. They tasted good, as expected, but many of them were prepared incorrectly as they were soft in the middle. My wife's veggie burger had a further issue. She got it bunless, and it usually comes with a plateful of lettuce underneath. This time, it was just one piece. I love each location of Bagger Dave's. Visiting this location still holds true to my claim. The burgers are amazing here and their craft beer is even better. I stopped at this location on my way up north with a few friends and it was definitely a great decision. I always get the BBQ burger with fries and I try and pick a different craft beer of theirs each time. It was so good that I decided to get a Growler to take up north with me. I was curious to try this out so I drove here on a whim with a friend of mine. We both love food and so it wasn't hard convincing her. Burgers...YUM. We loved our burgers. Price? Holy shit, my burger was over $10 and it was just for a burger. Fries are extra. Don't get me wrong, I inhaled my burger but burgers and fries go together like salt and pepper. Service? Not impressed. Neither one of us were that impressed and we work with the public too. Waitress didn't even approach us for about ten minutes. Summary: Only 1 star because while BD's has good food in general, the horrific service service at this location almost made us just get up and leave. Dine at your own risk. Detailed: I really want to like Bagger Dave's as a company, honestly I do...but other than the Sterling Heights and Novi locations, I've had to suffer through incorrect orders and obnoxiously long wait times every time. I'm not going to completely name who our server was, so I'll call her C****n. C****n took over 5 minutes to get to our table and take our order, drinks and food, and left. 15 minutes later we finally received our drinks. 30 minutes later after no check-up, we were asked if we wanted refills. 15 minutes after that (so now our ticket time is over 1 hour), I had to ask some of the general staff for help getting our drinks and food because C****n just wasn't cutting it with any of her tables. Shockingly, we received our refills in about 2 minutes (crazy, right?), the food shortly thereafter, and the manager came over to talk with us for a little bit. After hearing the excuses and reasoning for the exceedingly long ticket time, he said he would have a look at our bill and see what he could do. While the manager seemed like a nice guy, when C****n gave us our bill there was no comp or anything on there...likely because he forgot. We had just about enough at that point, and didn't want to waste another 15 minutes tracking him down, waiting for change, etc etc. we already wasted too much time there (1.5 hours total by the time we left). So again...I honestly want to like BD's, but they have a company-wide issue they need to address with their kitchen and their waitstaff because this problem is Michigan-wide; And this store was no exception. Bottom line is that if you're in a hurry or don't want to wait over an hour for food, id recommend going somewhere else unless you're a gambler read more

Just had the pleasure of dining here, Kendra was our server. I was in the service industry for about 15 years and can honestly say I've never witnessed anyone who appeared to care less. Kendra took our order, drinks and food at the same time. After about 10 minutes we realized we didn't get our beers. About that time we noticed our food in the window. About 5 minutes later, we see Kendra has ended her conversation and moseyed over to the window. She starts snacking while loading our food on her tray. She drops it off and we cancel our beers. We enjoy our meal, it was fine. Our water is empty. Kendra never checked back until my boyfriend had already finished his burger. She comes and asks if we want more water. Refills and asks if she can take anything away, we are both clearly mid-bite. She deposits our check mere moments after that, I hadn't even finished half of my meal. read more

The whole concept of Bagger Dave's is a simple one. A simple burger joint with a great local atmosphere and a good local craft brew selection. This Bagger Dave's was definitely cut from the same mold as the rest of the chain. The burger was custom built to order with fresh ingredients and was absolutely delicious. It's new so I'll review them again in a few months, but man was it a disaster. We were seated quickly, but nobody ever came to our table for 25 minutes. Four different waitresses walked by and nobody asked us if we had been helped. Eventually a manager came out, took our drink orders and brought us a free appetizer. After 10 minutes our sodas came out. They make their own, which is a mistake. Watery, flat, ugh. The appetizer looked okay, basically fries with a pile of blue cheese, buffalo sauce, and bacon. Things that are good on their own but not so much all together. The girl who brought us the appetizer just plopped it on our table and walked away. We had to go to the hostess to ask for silverware, and instead of getting them for us she told us to go up to the counter. Talk about lazy! Next we got our food orders taken and after a half hour they finally came out. Stay away from the zip sauce, it ruins an otherwise good cheeseburger. It tastes like...hippies. Ugh. After waiting about forty minutes for our order of burgers, a chicken sandwich, and fries, the waitress came to our table and said that the food was delayed because the "system was down". We waited another 20 minutes and still did not have our food delivered. Furthermore, the waitress never stopped by to refill our drinks. At this point, we left the restaurant (still did not have our food delivered). The restaurant was not that busy at this time. Stopped at this location on Tuesday night for dinner after a short trip to Frankenmuth. At 6:15, the wait was between 20 and 30 minutes, which was not too bad. The waiting area for patrons is small and cramped, however we were seated within about 15 minutes so it was not too bad. Upon sitting down, we were greeted by our server who took our drink orders. She returned in a timely fashion but seemed a little rushed. We ordered 2 burgers, fries, and a kids mac and cheese. This is where the problem started. We waited and waited for our food and with a active 2 year old that is rough! After 30 minutes without our meals or a refresh on drinks, I finally waived down our server and asked if she could check on the status of our dinner. About 10 minutes later our food came out. I ordered my burger a medium and my wife ordered hers medium well. Needless to say, mine was overcooked and hers was medium. The server never came and asked how our meals were. However, the kids Mac and cheese was extremely tasty! Other than the food being cooked incorrectly and the spotty service, the taste was pretty good.
