Working at a construction site first day at the site a food truck comes in and everyone goes to get sandwiches except me I had yelped bagels and saw bagel smith and was looking forward to eating a good bacon egg and cheese on a bagel so I skipped on the sandwiches at the food truck (which looked good btw) I walk 5 blocks in 15 degree weather thinking it'll be so worth it I get there staff isn't bad wait time either price was 5 something I gladly paid it thinking it's gonna be soooo good grabbed my bagel walked back to the site opened my bag and realized wow I get more bagel than bacon egg or cheese took a bite and realized I wasted my time I should've gotten from the food truck because this was far from my expectations felt like I was eating bacon egg and cheese from Dunkin donuts and I can't stand Dunkin donuts bacon seemed microwaved and very little bacon at that bagel was OK.... I love bagels so I was looking forward to this being amazing but nope just bleh next time I'll stick to the food truck unless I find another bagel place close by read more

It is unfortunate how bad this place was. I went there this morning ordered an everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese, and an oatmeal with fresh fruits. Not only did I have to wait for twenty minutes, but when the girl finally handed me the oatmeal, I also ask for my bagel, to which she replies "they're still making it". Of course I couldn't believe that a bagel would take that long, especially when I ordered it there was no one in the store, so I went to the back to check and it was cold from sitting there. No one called my name, no one brought it up to the register, as their sign states, and the girls wouldn't even bother to check. When I got the bagel I tried speaking to her, to let her know that it was back there, if she just would've checked, she completely ignored me, didn't even make eye contact. Then I open my order, and the bagel is not toasted, it is so hard, not a fresh bagel, and the oatmeal is completely tasteless. An oatmeal, a bagel, and a small orange juice were $19.00. The price, although expensive, would've been fine by me had I at least had a good meal. The service, the food, and the pricing was all bad, and I am highly disappointed. I have been here before and it hasn't been this bad. I recommend you never step foot here. read more

mediocre at best. The only draw of this place is that you can put $4 on a credit card. Bagels are decent, but nothing to write home about. I've ordered a toasted bagel and when i get to work 4 blocks away, the bagel is ice cold... barely toasted. Also, it would be nice if they could put my order in a bag with napkins instead of ignoring me as soon as they ring me up. This is apparently a chore... Bagel Smith. I Love you. After my Zumba class, i was in despite need of their delicious chocolate chip cookies. I only ordered two. (LOL) Anyhoo, while leaving the store and coming home i must have dropped my phone. I was frantic. Checking my bag and coat pockets to no avail. Out of the blue, my dad calls and says did you text me. I'm like, no Daddy, u don't know how to text. But, it was my favorite bagel store, trying to locate the owner of the phone. Yelpers be warned! The most mediocre bagel I've ever had. I ordered a garlic bagel with vegetable cream cheese and it was awful. Bagel had like 3 crumbs of garlic on it. The vegetable watery cream cheese had 3 thinly sliced carrots in it...cool. So why charge so much for an average bagel. I could have gone to dunkin for way less. I don't mind spending a little more on a bagel but at least make it fresh and worth it. I guess eating a bagel at brooklyn bagel co made me high maintenance lol Do yourself a favor and go else where. Employees don't use gloves properly to handle food. Watched several different employees either touch money with gloves on and then not change gloves and prepare food. OR simply touching their face/mouth with bare hands and then prepare food. Pretty sure this is a health violation. read more

The lady at the front was the only nice person, the guy with the glasses who took my order was attempting to be nice but came off so rude and obnoxious, & my bacon and cheese on a roll has literally 3 slices of bacon and 1 slice of cheese that wasn't even melted. this place is the first decent bagel i ever had. they're really good. even had an old one at 5pm once (toasted) and it was still good.

After throwing my cookies last night while trying to recover from a respiratory infection, I decided to revisit my usual craving- a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with lowfat cream cheese from Bagel Smith! Not only was the bagel super delicious- the bagel is thick, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside and the cream cheese is tasty and creamy, but the staff there is also walys so nice. They deliver the bagel in a bag with an old fashioned "Thank you. Have a good day" with a sincere smile and firm look in the eyes. All this great service and food, despite the fact that there is often a line of people outside waiting for their delicious bagels as well. read more

Long line and the food had no taste. Bagel was OK, but poor for sandwiches.

Got there at 5:10am this morning and wanted a bacon egg and cheese bagel and a coffee. Was told the grill wasn't on and coffee isn't ready.

I should also add that on the off chance there is something wrong with my order, everyone is more than willing to help fix it!

Pretty damn good bagels, but pay attention when they're making your sandwich because they have a habit of leaving out condiments

Thought I'd get a bagel after a night out. Fortunately, I was not drinking that much. Ended up getting a few cents change from a ten. They fixed that quickly, but I would not trust them to count change... Going to Brooklyn Gourmet Deli next time. The egg and cheese is way better. read more

I too, like many, discovered the delights of Bagelsmith at 3am. Whilst not the best bagels in NYC or Brooklyn, Bagelsmith has a wide variety of fillings, very tasty freshly baked bagels and perfectly good coffee (as Ian Y mentions, it's damn hot). This place is a JOKE!!! I ordered a ham and cheese omelette with a bagel and cream cheese, the omelette came out, and after 8 minutes he started toasting the bagel , I told him not to bother, my eggs were getting cold, I got home to a Western omelette?!?! I HATE BELL PEPPERS!!!!! They have a TEA party sign about how the government is inconveniencing you by charging taxes behind the register.....they should stop with politics and focus on service and guest satisfaction instead. Toasted bagel barely toasted. I scraped all the cream cheese off to put on 1/8th of the bagel, because there was only about a teaspoon of cream cheese on the whole thing. Threw the rest of the dry bread away. A line out the door means you can afford to put more than a tic tac of cream cheese on a bagel. read more

Just what I needed with a suitable hangover when I was being so indecisive as to what food I could actually stomach. Went with a friend who opted for the cream cheese and avocado while I picked the cream cheese and lox salmon. Absolutely divine! My sure if it was my lack of appetite or their portion sizes but I could've probably just shared one with my friend as they are pretty decent in size. Great value for money and v filling! read more

The selection and quality of bagels merits the name Bagelsmith. I was especially impressed by their tofu spreads. However, breakfast rushes are real and delivery takes hours even outside of breakfast time. Visit for the food, but be prepared to wait for it. read more
