Get a second register already! My old 4 star review is below but the wait times in here are just silly. ____________ Consistently delicious bagels. This place can be very busy during morning rush and weekend mornings and the staff does very well at keeping it all together while staying somewhat friendly. Like others have said, I have had some mixed up orders. The sandwiches get passed off to the cashier while someone else is making your coffee. So check what your getting. They're really not trying to be sloppy with your order, they are just crazy busy. read more

Dayle made fresh bagels .Excellent stuff who knows how to get the job done in the busy hours of the day. I think you can't go to New York and not try Bagelsmith's bagels. read more

No minimum for credit cards, awesome. Fresh bagels at all times of the day, awesome. Great to stumble into drunk at all hours of the night, awesome. Staff, awesome. Usually a seat by the window available. Unfortunately no more Bagel Store with their french toast bagels, but this is always a favorite. read more

LOVE this place. Always a guaranteed good bagel. AND its open 24 hours. Gets really congested on the weekend mornings so be sure to plan accordingly. read more

The service was extremely poor. The person behind the counter said he would be over in a second but was dealing with customers. Either there needs to be more help behind the counter or multitasking needs to be a priority. Eventually I walked out because I got tired of waiting to place my order. Absolutely ridiculous! read more

Bagelsmith is my absolute favorite bagel spot. No matter when I come in the bagels are absolutely delicious. And so is basically everything else. Always take up the chance to try their lemonade. The wait time is annoying (sometimes) but that's what happens when Williamsburg is filled to the brim with obnoxious hipsters but honestly nothing can stop me from coming here. I'm also a part of belly so every time I visit I check in and get 5 points that accumulate and add up to some pretty cool freebies (get 75,000 points and you can arm wrestle the owner for part of the business... I've heard the own is a tough cookie so I won't be aiming for that lol). Also, the woman Lilly in front is an absolute sweetheart. Always move and friendly and somehow remembers me even with how sporadically I've been coming. Real life don't make regrets and come here for your food read more

I just bought a bagel from Bagel Smith. The first bite in, and I can't eat any more of it. I asked for toasted but have been given a totally raw bagel. Disgusting. read more

I've lived in the neighborhood just about a decade now and have really been so sad to see the decline of this place. I leave this review only with the intention of encouraging the owner towards better management. The staff here are just so inconsistent. I don't know if it's high turnover or what, but a lot of people making the sandwiches are either clueless or careless. I had to stop coming because 8/10 the simplest orders were always wrong. The quality of the bagels have also become inconsistent. When they're good, they are so good. But there is no excuse to serve a customer a stale tasting bagel on a weekend morning at a busy shop like this. I've also been served inedible grilled chicken that tasted like it had been placed in a microwave for an hour to die. I miss the old bagelsmith and hope I can frequent the shop again one day. read more

Went into bagelsmith again, and the same white woman with black glasses, was not wearing a mask and working the cash register w/ absolute disregard. She was literally coughing as she was preparing food, and then working the cash register a couple feet away from people with no mask. I'm done with bagelsmith. read more

They should have a banner outside that says "Need a sick day tomorrow? Eat here today!". I work and have friends in the neighborhood, so have been there many times. Breakfast, lunch, late night. So, at it's very best, their food is truly "good". Good as in just good. Not delicious, not great, not awesome, nothing to write home about. Their prices, I would have to say, are above above average for what they serve. Been there a few times in the last several weeks. For honest fear of getting sick I made my last trip. I don't rate places based solely on one experience. Here are my last few: -Guy behind the counter with his hand wrapped in gauze with blood oozing out. Were they THAT short on help or just too cheap as employers to send the guy to get it stitched up? (He didn't help me, otherwise I'd never have eaten) -Next time back I got slimy slimy pastrami and rotten tomatoes. Blech. -Went in the other day to find the counter guys using dirty knives on an even filthier cutting board. (Seems that maybe the mysteriously absent cut hand guy was the only one who cleaned- hope he didn't lose his hand due to infection. Or maybe the boss canned him for working too slow with a finger dangling? Having worked food service for years I didn't want to know what the floor behind the counter or inside the coolers looked like. Kitchen Nightmares should check this place out. Guaranteed "money" shot of Gordon Ramsey puking in a trash can in a corner. To sum it up: If you're in the area and can't find a slice, a deli, or ANYTHING else go for it. And by go for it I mean go home hungry. Not worth it. read more

Best bagels (when they are fresh), best variety of flavored cream cheese. Bacon Scallion!! Try the everything pumpernickel with sun dried tomato basil cream cheese. The staff is friendly. plus, they are open 24/7!! read more

Amazing bagels. And you can't beat the location. I tried the jalapeño cream cheese.. It was so good! Service is quick and the guys are nice. It only gets 4 stars since the place wasn't that clean. read more

Outstanding bagels!!! Everything you could want on a bagel. No real seating however doesn't matter the bagels are great!! I loved it!! And they are open 24/7:) read more

So it's been some time since I check and guess what NOTHING HAS CHANGED. So Anthony please aka the owner don't bother jumping In and and apologizing on behalf of our staff. Bad service man just bad. So now you got two choices close up shop FOREVER or massive purge. The choice is yours read more

How amazing would it be if I could actually have gotten a bagel. I work in the area and came here twice. The lady at the counter took everyone's order and when it was my turn she just walked away from the register both times I was there. Plus your lighting is depressing. All I wanted was a bagel. It shouldn't be the soul wrecking to wonder if I am being discriminated against for some reason I have no idea why on my way to work while I am in a state of starvation cause it's 7am and I haven't eaten since yesterday read more

At 2am they were open and I got a very good turkey sandwich with apple and bacon and honey mustard. I ate the sandwich in the window and saw some strange people. Then two girls sat next to me. One said to the other she was a small town girl and that she likes all the wrong guys and needs to expand her horizons. Then she said something about maybe needing to date latin men. They both giggled and in the window I realized they were looking at me. Since she was beat by the small town ugly stick two or three times, I felt awkward. But I had half a sandwich left. I had a huge dilemma. I had to decide whether to awkwardly just fling myself off my seat towards the door or to stay and eat my sandwich. The sandwich was good. Really good. I kept eating and acting as if I didn't hear the random comments in their conversation four feet away from me. I ate quicker, like a wolf was preying on me. When I got to the last bit, I didn't even chew, I swallowed the sandwich and I got out of that place before I became hipster food. But you gotta love that Bagelsmith for bringing excitement into my life. The S^%T people do for bacon. read more

I just ordered #15 lox and there in no onion or tomato or nothing beside the cheese and the smoke salmon! Payed 11.75 for nothing and yesterday ordered turkey egg and cheese and it was no turkey on it, it was just egg and cheese!! Terrible!!! read more

Worst egg salad I've ever tasted. I think it was days old. Bagel was Ok.

open 24-hours. morgan loves it. and she probably won't write a review but she will vocalize her accolades. to the point that you just gotta go check it out. i just had a cup of coffee but morgie devoured her bagel. a good sign. the house coffee was quite flowery. a central-american blend is what they serve. there wasn't any other choice really because i don't do flavored coffee really. If you like mild coffee though, you could get with this stuff. it's pretty darn good. light enough that the flavors really come through. four benches for seating and morgan and i occuppied two of them so we could catch up on each other's lives post-earl greyhound concert. then when we got through being serious, i took to waving and smiling at people through the giant window. it was most entertaining! tally of reactions from waving through bagelsmith window: 4 smiles 3 wave-backs 7 looks of confusion will be back in the area for a few more shows next month. and looking forward to increasing the tallies in this new form of entertainment. :) stay tuned. PS - since Bagelsmith and I are like ... cousins and all, think I could get a discount on the shmears? eh? whaddya say? read more

I love Everything bagels. They have good ones here. If I'm around, I'll come here for my favorite - Toasted Everything with cream cheese, and hopefully grab one of the few seats in the front by the window, and go. to. town. Oozing cream cheese and all. It makes for awkward stares from weirdo hipsters passing by, but 1) I really could care less, 2) I like to chow down and 3) I really love my Everything bagels. Before reading reviews, I did not know there wasn't a CC minimum. Good to know now! read more

I stopped into this place for the first time a little over a week ago, on my way to meet my friend at the Knitting Factory for a show. I originally went in for a basic toasted bagel with peanut butter, but then I saw the ridiculous amount of cream cheeses staring at me from inside the display cooler. So, I decided on a toasted sourdough bagel with sundried tomato & basil cream cheese, and I'm so glad I did! I'll be back in Williamsburg in a few weeks, and I think my pre-show dinner plans are sorted. The bagels near where I live (sadly far away on Staten Island) are pretty good, but nowhere near what I had on that chilly night at Bagelsmith. read more

Bagelsmith - Toasted everything bagel with cream cheese - Bagels Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

The bagels were alright here and they had so many cream cheese options... But I thought Peter Pan did a way better ham and cheese breakfast bagel sandwich than Bagelsmith. Cream cheese is a must here for a boost in flavor, that may have been my mistake. I got regular cheese and the ham was ice cold so that threw everything off. This was also the only place I ordered food in NY where everything felt incredibly rushed and the employee's annoyed. I get it, this is a before work stop but it's not my problem you hate your job. I might come back to try something different but so far there are better bagel stops. read more

Mmmm had a great everything bagel with cream cheese from here then other day! I was craving salmon, but no such lox... Other than that the bagel was very fresh and I wished I had bought 2! read more

Keep on walking down Bedford Ave. to N. 3rd St. to The Bagel Store. The bagels are so much better at The Bagel Store. Trust me, its worth the walk. read more

Pathetic! Given this place more than enough chances to get an order right and they've failed miserably every time. Avoid the disappointment and just walk the extra blocks to Bagelstore on N3, QUICk! b4 it gets turned into a Starbucks... :( no joke. Ok, nevermind....it is now a starbucks. read more

I ordered coffee and instead I got tinted brown water. Servers seem sweet but have poor order retention skills given how my bagel was not as I ordered it. I can live without ever stepping foot here again. read more

my favorite bagel place ever. um, they're a little disorganized with knowing who's order is which, also there's no place to eat or wait, and also you might be outta there in 30 seconds or 20 minutes with no real reason either way. best spreads, they actually have whole wheat everything bagels, and their drink selection is endless. they are literally on the cutting edge of beverages... you will see things there that you didn't know existed, then a few months later they're everywhere. this has happened to me with the blueberry snapple and the xxx vitamin water. bagelsmith has obviously invented a time machine that tells you what drinks you will love in the future. oh and i just found out they're open 24 hours on weekends! woop woop! read more

Rude people, expensive food, bad attitudes abound maybe they no like this job... That about says it all...

This place give me THE BEST FEELINGS EVER. I am not kidding. If I have an awful day I will get on the train go to Hipster Hell and get myself an everything bagel with half jalpeno and cheddar cream cheese half bacon scallion. I discovered the Bagel Smith a year back when I was living in Williamsburg and I cannot tell you how many times this place saved me. It's cheap. It's open 24-hours, I work insane hours so this is A++ for me. They are fast, and the staff is pleasant even if it's 5am. AND for the piece de resistance THEY TAKE CREDIT CARDS...WITH NO MIN. If you've never been to billysburg let me tell you this is a real treasure. Almost everywhere is cash only. MARRY ME, BAGEL SMITH. read more

Walking back home, drunk at 3:45 AM, apparently stumbled into Bagelsmith, somehow spewed an order of bagel with cream cheese out of my mouth, paid for it, and proceeded to fall asleep at home without even eating it. Woke up the next morning, didn't remember going to Bagelsmith at all, but the bagel was still amazing the morning after. Bagelsmith rules, period. Open 24 hours, fresh bagels all the time, and a plethora of different cream cheeses to choose from, and in addition, a ton of sandwiches, coffee, tea, and more to choose from. You can't really go wrong with $1 bagels, but their cream cheese is an extra $2 which I think is ridiculous but worth it I guess, since it's homemade (i think). Why you would go to the new Dunkin that opened up next to me is a mystery - get fresh bagels and good service here. read more

Maybe if I were vegan I'd be crapping my pants over this place, but I'm not vegan, so this place just seems way overpriced.

I don't understand after 7 years of living here, I would think the bagels would get any better. Hard, ALWAYS stale. Morning. Afternoon. Weekends. Doesn't matter. The bagels either burn a crisp black layer on the top, or it's barely toasted. EVERY. TIME. Take the 20 minute walk to Bakers Dozen in Greenpoint (has mind blowing bagels and an awesome staff) and save yourself the disappointment of eating a stale burnt out bagel. read more

Bagel with scallion cream cheese came to $4.53. Guess the owners of this spot do a daily horse and buggie trek upstate to milk the cow by hand and bring milk and cream back to their humble Williamsburg location. That, or something similar must be their story in order to justify charging $4.53 for a bagel with cream cheese. read more

Anthony-Thank you for writing in response to my review. I didn't mean to end on a negative tone but my 4 year old niece and 1 year old nephew were growing impatient with me :/ I wanted to sound more factual/opinion than critical. It wasn't bad...I guess to my taste buds, they were more like bread and I love bread ;) Anyways. Thank you! read more

Quick service and really nice staff. Big ups to Erica. My morning go-to when en route to the L.

Bagelsmith can get pretty chaotic during the rush hours, but the staff here is nice, and their bagels cannot be beat! Also, they have a great selection of tofu cream cheeses, and their hours, which is 24/7 are perfect for any late night munchies. I wouldn't trade Bagelsmith for anything around here. read more

Ever since I've left New York, I've been having this odd craving for Bagelsmith which will undoubtedly be hard to find an equivalent in the South. Friends and I stopped by late Friday night around 3:00am for a late night snack. I got lox with cream cheese on a toasted onion bagel while my friend got an everything bagel with bacon scallion cream cheese. My lox was overflowing with smoked salmon and cream cheese. That much filling almost made me feel guilty. I tried some of my friend's bagel and the bacon scallion cream cheese was soo good -creamy, thick, and with perfect flavoring. Despite paying $7 something for my bagel and consuming probably a ridiculous amount of carbs and calories, it was still definitely worth it. Only downside is that seating is very limited, so expect to eat your delicious bagel on the go! read more

This is a tale of sacrifice, borderline starvation, and savior that at the end of the day came in the form of an egg everything bagel. While the intro may seem dramatic, I assure you it is no overstatement. I was managing a promotional team pumping a new energy drink (insert plug for Tamarind Potencia) at the 116th Street Puerto Rican Festival. The day seemed destined for branding success until ominous storm clouds rolled in at a menacing pace and began to dump cold, hard rain all over the slew of primped promo girls. Needless to say anyone from the area ran, leaving me with a slew of scared, North Carolinians with mascara stained cheeks and an unnecessary fear of what happens when the sun goes down in New Yawk. Day quickly tuned to night and I was entrusted with gaurding 40,000 cans of our soaked product from the street folk lingering in the shadows ready to run with cases at a time (they succeeded on a few occasions). We are hungry. Tired. Huddled in a 1995 caravanl....low and behold from the console....a bag of Bagelsmith delights purchased and forgotton earlier that day. Needless to say the cream cheese was in a state that could not be consumed from the day out of refridgeration but the bagels were devine. I remember starting many days with their baked goodness (and hazelnut iced coffee) when I lived in the hood and eating that egg everything bagel removed me from the cramped caravan and thoughts of days past danced in my head. These delicious bagels quieted the whining of the crew and the rumble in my tummy all in one swoop... And that is the tale of how an egg everything bagel saved the day. And we all lived happily ever after. Except the cream cheese. The end. read more
