My friend had been raving about this place. And she was right! A fun vibe, very quick and friendly service and some creative combinations. The bagels are quite good. I got the T-Rex (sans bacon) and it was very tasty. They definitely put a lot more honey on it than I was expecting but I won't complain. Recommended. read more

Despite a long line when we walked in, it moved fast and the bagels were fresh and delicious. Tables turned over quickly. The cinnamon raisin bagel was perfectly made, and the rosemary honey cream cheese so unique. Worth weathering the line. read more

This is probably my favorite bagel place in Boston. (I gave two stars just for the cute logo) I came on a Saturday morning with my friends. This tiny store is always packed with customers. We waited in line for about 20 mins- not too bad! Their bagel sandwiches were very fresh and delicious. The cheddar garlic bagel was soft and crunchy. The sea salt bagel was a little chewy. I will definitely come back again to try other items on the menu :) read more

The bagels at Bagelsaurus are very good. My favorite was the bagel with poppy seeds. However, I am unsure if I would come back because of the long line and wait. I went to Bagelsaurus on a Saturday morning (around 10am) and the wait was around 30min from standing in the line to getting our bagels. I froze some bagels to eat during the week and even after defrosting them they still tasted delicious. I would come back if the line was not that long. read more

My friends and I tried this place today. I got the eggspanolos sandwich with sea salt bagel. First time tried the sea salt flavor and was diff from the others. The skin was kinda chewy though. This place has very limited seats. There is long line but it goes by fast. read more

The ordering and pick up is super easy and organized. Bagels are always amazing and fresh.

Delicious bagels! Come early if you can (especially on the weekends) since there's always a line out the door. I've been meaning to try this bagel shop for quite a while now and finally got to last weekend. I had the eggspañola on a cheddar garlic bagel (over-medium egg, feta cheese, pimento aioli, parsley gremolata) and my boyfriend had the ham grenade on a cheddar garlic bagel. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious. The cheddar garlic bagel is only available on weekends (Friday-Sunday) so I definitely wanted to try it. The bagel was a little chewy, so the sandwich was sort of chewy and messy with all the sauces (but still delicious). I also got two bagels with cream cheese to go and I love their cream cheese flavors (honey rosemary and scallion! yum). Overall, the bagels were great and I'll definitely be back. read more

anything but a fiver for this incredible establishment is insane -- five stars to this gem gem gem with the best bagels anywhere (yea u read that right ny bagel snobz) these bagels rip in ways you cant imagine and honestly the sandwiches take it to another dimension i mean just peep this eggsterpiece and tell me ur not freaked out -- !!!!!!!!!!!! its worth the wait and every penny every time!!!!!!!! read more

down with bagelsaurus! its pretentious and over priced. There are plenty of breakfast places around and I will probably never go back here. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel with avocado as an add on, which was 1.65 extra, already pushing it. I also got a medium ice coffee. my total was over 11 dollars. WHAT?????? WAY TOO OVER PRICED FOR BAGELS. AND on top of that they FORGOT THE BACON !!!!! how do you forget the bacon !!?!??!?!?!? The food and coffee did taste good but for that price I A.want bacon and B. want a whole damn meal Brugers Bagels is right down the street and it is WAY BETTER in every way I am still fumbling over how they forgot the bacon. read more

Delicious and dangerous for the taste buds because every bite is an explosion! I am a breakfast person all the way, this is now my to go-to place for fresh bagels and coffee. ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. I have waited in line for up to 30 minutes for one of their bagel sandwiches and I have never once regretted it. Weekday: less likely to have a line. Weekend: there will be a line. Pick up coffee from somewhere on your walk to Bagelsaurus and you will have a much more pleasant wait. Favorite: Eggspanola sandwich (I usually choose this on an olive bagel). Over easy egg, Maplebrook feta, pimenton aioli, and parsley gremolata. It's the perfect savory sandwich that is tangy and creamy. I love it so much I rarely have the guts to try something new. However, their Hot Smoked salmon sandwich is equally good, but twice as expensive $11 so I get it once in awhile. They are also well known for their T-Rex (almond butter, banana, honey and bacon) which I have never tried but have heard plenty of good reviews. read more

I love this place!! Bagels are amazing, staff is wonderful. Tons of vegan options. Highly recommend!!

I am a bagel lover and grew up eating bagels since I could eat bagels. I tried coming a few times the first week they opened but the line was long. But I understood that when a new and tasty place opens there is sure to be a line. It was worth going back the third time to finally eat a fresh bagel made and served with love. Thank you Bagelsaurus. I will be back and so will my friends and their friends etc..... PS You have the best name ever. read more

This place is an absolute gem. It was at first a recommendation from a friend but soon became one of my favorite bagel places around! The sandwiches are amazing, their bagels are fresh and the service is very friendly. You just NEED to be ready for a long line! I know it's not their fault but it has definitely deterred me from going a couple times. The only reason I give it a 4/5. Otherwise, gold stars all around! read more

If you want a legit bagel, cream cheese, and lox, Bagelsaurus is the only option in the Boston area. I grew up in a heavy bagel and lox area, and it's probably the one cuisine that Boston is lacking. That being said, if you can get out to Somerville this place is worth it. The place just smells of fresh bagels and coffee and makes you wish you lived right upstairs. YUM! read more

I hate to write a rage induced review but this is a message I feel strongly needs to be out there not only for potential customers but mostly for the owners. The product on its own is a very good bagel. If the entire acquisition process took say 10-15 minutes the score would have been dramatically higher. However that was not the case, just getting to the counter to place my order took just over an hour. No that's not an estimate, I started my timer once I got in line. Even worse, once I placed my order, it took another 10 minutes just to get 2 bagels prepared - one with mustard butter, another with cream cheese. The folks working there seem earnest enough, perhaps overly so. By that I mean I noticed meticulous preparation for spreading cream cheese, for example. While that may seem like a positive, it's not when there's an hour plus long line outside and it takes 30+ seconds to spread the cream cheese. Again, this is just "for example", there's a lot they can do to improve their efficiency. I'm hoping this is all a case of them working out the kinks of a new operation. I personally won't be spending an hour in line again just to get bagels but I will certainly go again at a less busy time. I'll be happy to reevaulate and change my rating if warranted. Bottom line, if you go at a time when there's no line, by all means their bagels and spreads are very very good. If there is a line, then you have to ask yourself if it's worth over an hour of your time to get a bagel when there are other options (plural) in walking distance that will put a decent bagel in your hands in 5 minutes. read more

I came to Bagelsaurus for the first time and had high expectations. It was a weekday around lunchtime and there were only a few people in front of me. I ordered the egg espanola and added avocado, which they charged me for, but it was never actually added to my bagel: ( I got take out, so I didn't discover the mistake until I was twenty minutes away. The sandwich was just okay, but I feel like the avocado would have made it a lot better! I also got a pretzel bagel, with honey rosemary cream cheese on the side. The pretzel bagel was delicious, chewy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the honey rosemary cream cheese was really unique and I enjoyed the flavors. The cold brew coffee was just okay, and I agree with another reviewer that they definitely should make a bigger size. I may give them another try on a weekday, but next time I will stick to the bagels and cream cheese. read more

Oh bagelsaurus....you are so delicious. The workers are friendly and the service is fast. Do not let the line of hungry patrons coming out of the door and around the block hinder you from trying one of their scrumptious bagels. It is a very tiny store but the line do move at a good pace. My problem is I wait til I'm too hungry that I can't wait in the line. But when I do, oh yeah, so good. read more

You will have to wait in a line. However the wait is so worth it, the bagels have a little crunch on the outside and are soft on the inside. The cheddar garlic (available on weekends) is phenomenal! On their egg sandwiches, they use two slices of cheese which is super yummy. I highly recommend this amazing bagel place! read more

I've always found the massive, Instagrammable bagel sandwich trend pretty weird. Real bagels are moist, dense creatures - so moist that any but the stickiest fillings slip right out, hence the traditional cream cheese. Bagelsaurus is one of several hip places that make a valiant effort to replicate the real bagel while falling for the slippery sandwich trend. Their sandwiches are indeed messy, but I'll give them a pass because all the fillings spilling every which way are genuinely delicious. Eggspanola is as well-balanced as a good banh mi, with sharp cheddar rounding out perfectly runny egg brightened by fresh herbs. The bagels alone are not perfect and definitely overpriced, but they're the best I had in Boston. read more

They have bialys!!!!! Both bagels and bialys have authentic consistency (not rolls with holes!). Some unusual flavors such as black olive and sweet potato. read more

The bagels are very tasty, as are the sandwiches, cream cheese, and cookies. Considering that we stood in line for an hour (at least it was a nice fall day), we decided to try a lot of items since we figured we'd never come back (at least not on the weekend) due to the extremely slow service. And therein lies part of the problem - they need to figure out their service. The cashier seemed fairly clueless and took forever to enter our not-so-complicated order. And the hour-long wait... This place is quite expensive (for what it is). $25 for a baker's dozen bagels!!! Holy crap!!! Even the best bagels in NYC (H&H) were only about a dollar before they went under due to terrible ownership (tax evasion). Suggestion to Bagelsaurus: You need a second cashier. Create TWO LINES - one for people who want only bagels, and one for people who want more than just bagels. Or even EAT-IN and TAKE-OUT lines. Or vary what the two lines are based on the day or time of day. Do whatever it takes to get rid of your hour wait time. SUMMARY. PROS: the food is good CONS: price and service. WILL I GO BACK? probably not, unfortunately. read more

No doubt, the bagels here are very good, and they have some nice combinations. You will wait for a while, since it's so popular. The real downside is the comical prices. $11 for a bagel with smoked salmon, and I was BARELY able to find any smoked salmon on my bagel, just the thinnest layer. If the prices were slightly more reasonable (not even that much cheaper) I'd be here regularly. read more

I'm not one of those New Yorkers who smugly walks around the Boston area. I love it and am thrilled to live here. Heck, I even go to Red Sox games and don't heckle. But if there's one thing I'll never compromise on, it's my bagels. If you're looking for a New York Bagel, this is not it. These bread-y concoctions are more akin to a sourdough roll in the shape of a bagel. They are too chewy. They're hard. They feel stale. The cream cheese, however, is decent. The wait is long because those working at the shop are slow, inefficient and don't seem to have a smooth system. There were only two people in front of me in line and it still took nearly ten minutes for me to order. And, sadly, the wait simply wasn't worth it. If you're looking for a real bagel, hop on the bus to Manhattan, buy a dozen or more bagels and put them in your freezer. You'll be better off and won't have to wait in line. read more

Bagelsaurus is easily one of the best bagel stores in the Cambridge area. My first visit to the store. We got a pretzel bagel, sweet potato bagel with honey rosemary cream cheese, and the hot smoked salmon sandwich on a plain bagel. The sweet potato bagel with honey cream cheese was enjoyable. Nice flavor to the cream cheese and good texture on the bagel. The rest of the order was a big miss. First, at $11, the hot smoked salmon sandwich was way overpriced. Not sure if it was an error, but there was only salmon on one side of my sandwich (as in, only the left side), so one half of my sandwich was just pickled cabbage, onions, and dill, which I didn't end up eating because it just isn't enjoyable without the salmon to balance the flavors. So, very little salmon was disappointing, especially because I didn't notice until I was home. The half with the salmon was ok. Heavy on the dill. I wouldn't re-order. Pretzel bagel was nothing to write home about either. Was very excited and likely won't return. Bummer. read more

I just don't get it. The bagels are definitely tasty, but IMO not worth the hefty price tag of $2.50 each, plus each topping a la carte. The bagels have a nice chewy, sourdough tasting inside, but the crust is so hard and chewy that it honestly gave me jaw pain to chew it. I went mid-day when there was no line, but it still took them 20 minutes to prepare two bagels sliced with a side of cream cheese. Too long to wait for something that should be so simple to prepare. I plan to go back and try their egg sandwiches, which I've heard are great. I might change my rating if it's really tasty. Overall, tasty bagels with a hefty price tag and slower than molasses service. If they can speed up their orders I think it'll do wonders for business. read more

Oh Bagelsaurus...I'm not sure if I'm happy that I found you or whether I regret it. I'm a New Yorker that avoids bagels (*gasp, yes). Bagels are usually too filling, they make me feel like I need to go to the gym twice a day, and cream cheese just doesn't cut it for me. So the only reason that I decided to check out Bagelsaurus was because I live nearby and on my habitual morning walk to Harvard Square I decided to check out this hipster-y looking place. SO GOOD! Although the prices are on the expensive side (a bagel sandwich w/ iced coffee will run you ~ $9.60), Bagelsaurus hits the spot every, single time. I justify my now frequent indulgences by saying that it keeps me going through lunch but the truth is I come because the eggs are always done right, the bagels are memorably chewy, the flavor combinations are clever, the cashiers are polite, and this reminds me of NYC. My favorite is the eggspanola on seeded wheat or olive (in which case I ask for light cheddar because the sandwich gets too salty). I also like trying to chef's recommendations. read more

Good bagels. Good service. Simple in execution. Not exactly sure how they run out of their only product by 12 pm on a Saturday time and time again when they know their bagels are in high demand, but I'll let them figure that out. In the meantime, rawr. read more

I came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning after reading some great reviews on this place. Upon arrival I noticed a line wrapped around the side of the building which ended up being a half an hour wait. I ordered the cheddar garlic bagel with regular cream cheese and the classic jumbo. I am a big time bagel person and this place was right up my alley. There was a long line outside the door that went by semi quickly. They had quiet a few bagels to choose from. TOTALLY EXPENSIVE but worth it. Damn, I'm happy to have a place to get a truly excellent bagel in the Camberville area. $2.50 a piece without anything on them - yup. But worth it. Chewy crust. Tender inside. Amazing selection of bagel type. Salt. Onion. Everything. Olive. So much good. Service is fast, friendly and easy. Tablet checkout system fast and easy. Love the swiveling POS solutions. Wish they had bigger iced coffee and tea cups instead of the one-size fits all model. That's a small to me. I want so much iced tea in the morning. Wish they didn't go rogue on a couple ingredients (which I imagine some people cherish / feel the opposite but just giving my opinion): - would prefer fresh sliced tomatoes to roasted (picked them off) - would prefer traditional smoked salmon to the hot salmon (that was actually gross to me and I had to pick it off / hadn't understood what I was ordering) ^^ Innovate a little but not too much? Overall: Thanks for letting me spend over $8 on breakfast at least 2x a week lately! read more

I will never forget that first glorious moment when I bit into a Bagelsaurus sea salt bagel. Neither will any of the other customers at Bagelsaurus, because they saw a six foot tall skinny-as-sin grown-ass white dude literally lose his ever-loving shit. In spite of the fact that I'm kind of a hipster, I usually don't go berserk over food (just mustaches), but damn. Go to the blog "Stuff White People Like" and post the link to the Bagelsaurus Yelp page at the top of the list. Words can't describe. I discovered this place last Sunday and have been back every day since. The staff even recognizes me now (and runs and hides when I come in, because I'm obnoxious and physically unable to shut the eff up about how amazing their bagels are). Okay, stop reading this review and go to Bagelsaurus today before they run out (usually by 2p). read more

Truly awesome. What more do you need to know? The bagels are excellent, they have just the right amount of chew and a nice crackly crust. The Salmon sandwich was excellent. The combination of crisp apple, parsley, capers, onions, and smoked salmon really hit the spot. Cold brew coffee was nutty and had none of the off-flavors you sometimes get with cold brew. Not that it matters, but the space is nice too. Small, but clean. The hardwood looks nice. All around, well worth the trip from wherever you are to here. Whatever you do, just get here.
