I LOVE bagels! So excited to have just found this place! Really, the creative toppings are the special thing about this place.

Great Bagels...unlike any other around. I visit weekly and bring home a dozen or so. They freeze great and are just as taste when defrosted. Good selection of drinks. Young high school age staff can sometimes put a damper on the expierence. They don't do much to go the extra mile and earn those tips. I tend to save my change read more

Nice little bagel shop! Cash only but at least they have an ATM inside. The everything bagels are the best I've had so far from anywhere, mainly because they have salt on them. Best time to go is in the morning, prior to 10am, that seems to be when the morning rush hits. read more

My gf and i always go here because they have great bagel sandwiches. I usually get the ham sandwich which is great and my gf always gets the chicken salad. Their bagels are awesome and their flavored of cream cheeses are very, very good. Place isnt cheap but it also isnt expensive (for two sandwiches and drinks it is like 18 bucks). The owner hires highschool teen girls for whatever reason but it has been that way since i was in highschool 8 years ago. read more

This place is awesome! Fresh bagels and good coffee it's a one stop breakfast place! Don't get me wrong they also do great bagel sandwiches for lunch. I used to work nearby and went there all the time for lunch. There's only one catch: they're a cash only business. read more

The good: My sandwich was well-made and the bagels are great. The staff is mostly cute and friendly girls. $8.50 seems like a lot for a bagel sandwich, but it tasted great. The bad: The food is a bit pricy, even for the high quality. I really hate their cash only policy. It is frankly unacceptable in this day. If you ask me, a place like this has to compete on service and quality. They have good quality, but their service is hampered by their stubbornness in only accepting cash. Yes, I get that paying credit card processing fees is annoying, but it is a necessary cost of doing business, especially at the prices they charge. I more than once have passed by their place and gone elsewhere because I didn't have cash on me. Who do you think is making the better business decision, the 99% of big and small businesses that accept cards, or the occasional mom-and-pop hold outs that insist on cash-only? It is not like every other business is foolish for accepting cards, and is throwing away 3% of their income for no reason. read more

My mom and I stopped in here on Friday 3/24/2017. I never even knew that this place was there and they told me it has been for about 20 years. We both were so happy with the service and so happy with the food we had. The bagels were amazing and that is the reason we went there to try their bagels. Believe me they did not disappoint. They were just like we used to get when we went to Chelsea. We will definitely be going back in fact next Friday as we will be down that way again. If you do go in, try there homemade hot chocolate....it was outstanding!!!!! read more

Bad Cream ~ poor management response!! I have been stopping here for years mainly because I love their coffee ~ Until today!! The cream curdled in it and instead of simply apologizing, the owners stated that this sometimes happens because the coffee is so hot (really??). They did, rather begrudgingly, poor me a new cup with cream from the fridge, but kept insisting that the date stamp on the cream was late Nov. I would have had a lot more respect for a simple "sorry". Too bad, because this place has really terrific bagels too, but time for me to say Bye Bye Bagels Plus!! read more

The quality of the bagels has down since they have expanded into muffins, cookies, smoothies, everything but bagels. The service has gone down hill, too. If you order anything other than a bagel with cream cheese, they look confused. I ordered a bagel sandwich off the menu (one I have had there, before, and enjoyed). It took 2 girls 10 minutes to make the sandwich, not to my liking. Too bad, it was a good place but, now, I realize Dunkin' Donuts bagels are just as good. read more

The bagels are usually decent, but we've stopped going regularly because every encounter with either of the owners makes you feel unwanted there. On one visit, the baker burned most of the bagels (everyone is entitled to a bad day). My wife ordered a dozen. When the bag of bagels was presented to her, she picked up one to inspect it, noticed that they were burnt to a crisp, and asked the wife/owner for a new dozen. Instead of accommodating her, the owner insisted that my wife pay for them since she had handled them! Are 12 burnt bagels worth losing regular, weekly customers over? Lazing around on Patriots Day. Decided to skip the Boston Marathon today (never ran it, actually) and instead, headed to Bagels Plus, the go-to place for a terrific bagel. Returned home and am now enjoying my coffee, sesame bagel with a little bit of onions, a slice of tomato, and a whole lot of lox, compliments of Trader Joe's down the road. Not too many people in the bagel store this morning but it did have its usual excellent array of bagels, muffins, drinks and coffee. And it still has its crazy checkout process at the cash register. read more

Best bagels you can get in the area and the best you'll get outside of New York. The bagels are made in the traditional manner and are always fresh. There is a large variety of flavors, spreads and sandwiches. The coffee is also very good. Free WiFi and plenty of seating. Bring cash. read more

As a stranger to Acton, and the metrowest area in general, I figured I'd get acquainted with the food scene while staying with a relative in town. This morning I happened across Bagels Plus, and it has been the gleaming gastronomical highlight of my stay so far (well, for breakfast at least). For a lady on a budget, the prices were quite accommodating: a hearty homemade everything bagel (as in "everything wonderful in the realm of piquant gustatory delights included") topped with decadently delicious bacon & scallion cream cheese for myself, as well as one for my hostess, and a hot chai all for about $8. Definitely one of the best bagels I've had, the chai however, was very "meh"; not bad, but nothing special either. Took my order to go, but the ambiance seems pleasant enough; quaint and comfortable cafe setting as one would expect. I definitely plan to return to this business in the future. Like, the very near future. As in tomorrow. Its just that good. read more

Incredibly fresh bagels in a welcoming atmosphere. They have free wireless, a great spot up stairs to meet with a bunch of people for breakfast or lunch, and simply the best bagels around. The owners really care about delivering a great product, hire teens with a great service attitude, and creating a great place to hang out with the Sunday paper. read more

I have making "special" trips to Bagels Plus for over a year now. I say "special" because I don't live in Acton and it takes a 25 minute drive for me to get there. The bagels and cream cheese are delicious and it was worth the drive, emphasis on WAS. As I was ordering today and said I would like my order "for here" the young girl behind the counter informed me they were closing in 10 minutes. Fine by me, I wasn't planning on hanging out, just wanted to eat a quick lunch. As I was eating, another customer came in with his young son, ordered and was told they would be closing in 1 minute. At 3:00pm on the dot another employee came into the eating area and told everyone they were closed and we needed to leave. I was half way through my bagel, the man and his son had JUST sat down to eat and there was another gentleman with his young daughter drinking smoothies. I have been in establishments at closing time and have never been kicked out mid-meal. I am astonished that this place treated paying customers with such little respect. Lock the door and don't let new people in but you never tell eating customers to leave! Also, as I was ordering I overheard two employees complaining to each other that they weren't going to get out of there until 4:00pm. Well, if you are going to be there until 4:00pm anyways why can't you give your last customers of the day an extra 10-15 minutes to eat the food they just paid for? I will never again give my business to this place. So unbelievably rude. read more

My bagel with cream cheese was good, but the pizza bagels and wraps were terrible. However, the main reason for the one star was the horrible service. The girl making my pizza bagel burnt half of it and then asked me if I still wanted it. I also had to wait half an hour to get the food. When I called to inform them of the service problem, the manager said, "I had the other half of the pizza bagel and it was excellent." I was so disappointed with the service. read more

Been coming here consistently since I was younger. Bagels are amazing...I especially like the pizza bagel. The young kids that work there are generally pretty nice and fast too. Coffee is just okay, but their bagels really are top notch. read more

Although I do like the bagels, I think the business end is what's the problem. If you go on a weekend it's very busy and after years they still only have one toaster to toast the bagels. You would think the owner, by now, would be willing to invest in a second toaster....so it's hoping your bagel makes it in the toaster before the guy standing next to you. And if you dare to want it toasted well you may wait behind a few other bagels before it even gets put in a second time. Last time I went in was a Wednesday, so not that crowded. However, three staff were sitting around talking and texting while most of the tables were dirty. My order was also made incorrectly and I didn't even get an apology. I was actually told that I already paid for the "wrong" order so did I want it anyway. Unbelievable. Not good on customer service and the place is a dump. I only continue to go occasionally because honestly there is no other bagel place around. read more
