I came here to kill a few hours while waiting for a friend and overall had a mixed experience. First, the guy at the front was super nice and welcoming, which was a great start. I ordered a pastrami sandwich on an Asiago bagel with coleslaw and Thousand Island dressing on the side. The Asiago bagel was really good, nice and fluffy, and the pastrami itself was very good. The sides were where things fell short. I LOVE pickles, but the pickle was terrible and honestly tasted like it might have been bad. The coleslaw wasn't great either. It smelled fine, but tasted like it was right on the cusp of going bad, so I didn't eat much of it. I also ordered the hash browns and was disappointed. They were only warm and weren't crispy at all. I think they would have been much better served hot and crispy. The seating area is actually great if you want to sit for a while, which is what I was looking for. My only complaint is there are very limited outlets, and none near the regular tables, so it's not the best setup if you're trying to get some work done while you're there. I'm planning to grab a dozen bagels to bring home because I really liked the Asiago bagel and want to try some of the others. Based on the bagel and pastrami, there's definitely some good here. Coming out of Yelp retirement specifically to talk about this place. I've been in a few times now and every bagel I've gotten has been tough and dry. The last two times I went in, they got my order wrong and I only noticed once I opened my order at home. Today, I ordered avocado to add to my sandwich (which is a $3 up charge, by the way) and it wasn't on my bagel. I was already home by the time I noticed, so I wasn't going to go back to complain. Amazing! All the bagely goodness you would expect in NY. Fluffy yet chewy and all the flavors to choose from. I had a pumpernickel with veggie cream cheese and added lettuce and tomato. Delightful. My husband had the Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a sesame and said it was great. The eggs were fresh and cooked perfectly. The iced latte was also very good. I really love the bagels here. And, I really hope these bagels are made without chemicals because they are so fluffy and delicious. Even the cream cheese is spot on! We bought two tubs, scallion and honey walnut. Each tub cost about $6 but you get a good amount and both were freshly whipped. We've bought a dozen bagels from here as well as a few sandwiches. The smoked salmon breakfast sandwich was pretty good but not my favorite. The tuna melt was delicious however! I got mine on the jalapeño cheddar bagel. The NY pizza bagel was also delicious and cooked perfectly with delicious melted cheese and not too much tomato sauce. After trying an array of bagels here, my favorite ones so far as to be the jalapano cheddar, Asiago, and French toast. The staff are friendly, fast and helpful here. The bagel shop itself is pretty big with a lot of seating and a cute bookcase nook area if you want some privacy while eating. read more

Corner spot in a busy shopping center, typical over-the-counter ordering, and a bonus of a spacious and comfortable dining area with high tops, low tables, and even couches. Better atmosphere than the place down the street. -- "The New Bigger & Better Seaport": A fantastically generous stack of smoked salmon, cream cheese of choice, tomato, and red onion on a bagel of choice. I chose scallion cream cheese and pumpernickel bagel, and added capers. Everything came in greater proportion than expected. A little sloppy on the sandwich stacking, with the lox uneven and not overlapped, but not a problem. The bagel itself contributed the least, but an outstanding sandwich overall. -- Bagels to Go: Got a half dozen to take home and these were soft enough to not need toasting the next day. Decent flavor, but very subtle, similar to the sandwich. More bready than a dense NY style bagel, but adequate. -- Cream Cheese: Got a tub of veggie to go, and it's very spreadable and packed with chopped veggies you can see, feel, and taste-- better than the micro slivers in the veggie spread at the place down the street. Very enjoyable. -- Blueberry Muffin: A mammoth offering with a substantial crown, but no difference in texture between it and the base. Not that that's a horrible thing; it's nice and soft. Flavor is cakey without being too sweet. Densely blueberried. -- Coffee: Nicely flavorful, and thankfully hot from the self/serve dispenser (not always a guarantee). Excellent sandwiches! I admit I haven't tried the bagels yet but the sandwiches are top notch. Had the pastrami and it every bit as good as the classic deli sandwiches you get in NYC. Carnegie Deli corned beef and pastrami so we're starting off with superb ingredients. The bread was great as well. Pickle and coleslaw on the side tops this off. The service was great = fast, friendly and no rush! Decent amount of seats and tables so sit back and enjoy a fresh one vs taking it to go. Clean and parking is fine, shared lot with other stores and Trader Joe's and Staples so no issue to park. Great me addition to the culinary landscape of the area. read more

I'll cut them some slack because they are just opening and getting their act together. Stopped in after dealing with the Trader Joes green-hair, nose-ring and N95 mask gang. Disclaimer: I'm Jewish and spent 20y in NYC so I think I know something about them. Only got some bagels, no sandwiches/coffee/etc. so won't comment on them. Bottom line: These are like going to a Groupon about bagel making. They are poorly made and IMO, management shouldn't have even sold them (see photos), especially at $2 per bagel (I paid $8 for 4). The salt bagel was 2.5" thick at its max and just a bit roll wo hole, ditto most of the others. The onion bagel use the wrong cut of onion and it was burnt. I asked my partner and they (like me) weren't 100% it actually was onion vs. bad garlic. Both flavors seem to exist. Also, I think they were overboiled as the initial texture was wrong. I don't personally care for the texture, a bit too dense and cake-y. Maybe they'll get better over time and/or get bakers that can make a bagel. Overall, I'd rather get bagels from the Bagels Plus down the road a bit (although I think they are over-risen, it's not as dense as these new folk. read more

Website (not just the apple maps portion) says they open at 6 am, got there at 6:15 am and doors are locked. Employee comes out and asked if I was picking up an order and says they open at 6:30 am (despite website saying 6 am). I wait until 630, and then try to go back and he tells me they're not opening until 7 am (he now has a paper sign on the door) and it's online ordering only. I was able to order an online coffee but I had to make it myself? Way too big of a hassle for a $6 mediocre coffee. read more

It's a great place for breakfast or lunch. I came with a friend and ordered a carnegie pastrami with sourdough bread. It was really delicious and the portion was huge. Next time I will try their bagels. This place is quite spacious and people are super nice. read more

FYI : NY Bagel Factory in Acton beyond the best bagels evah, their sandwiches are 4 inches high on fantastic breads, my personal favorite is the huge reuben with thin sliced corned beef. OK I am excited about this place but their hot coffee is good, but they add ice cubes made from coffee so your iced coffee does not become diluted. Lots of available seating on over stuffed furniture. Located on Great Rd in the Staples and Trader Joe's strip mall. read more

Great place for breakfast or lunch ! My wife and I went here when they first opened up and had been going at least Two times a month. The prices are fair and the food is good, they put three eggs on their breakfast bagels which is great and the lattes are great as well. They have comfortable places to sit and eat and read a book if you're inclined to do so and my wife and I do exactly that when we go. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy your meal! read more

Sandwiches are very good. Pastrami was terrific. Bagels are not as good as Acton Bagel down the street. Coffee bar was terrible. We ate in and the creamer remained empty the entire time we were there. Also, only dark roast regular coffee available (no medium roast ior light roast). Coffee area was not clean (1:15 PM to 2PM). We will go back as I expect improvement will happen as they gain experience. read more
