A really great place. Fresh and tasty bagels and donuts. Sausage, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich was fresh off the grill. Took a minute or two to cool before actually able to eat. Also excellent value compared to your regular fast food, you're probably gonna spend more money at McDonald's or Wendy's for something worse. Also the owner was really friendly and trusting. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel, Coconut donut filled with a vanilla creme & cinnamon roll, through the drive thru service. The gentleman who took my order was very kind. The food came out in about 5 minutes and I was instantly hit with an amazing smell from the bagel. The bagel sandwich was very big and hot. It tasted delicious and I would easily go back to get another one. The coconut donut was big and very yummy as well, tiny bit dry. The cinnamon roll was very big, but had a chocolate frosting which I was not expecting. Was not a fan of the cinnamon roll. The exterior drive thru area is very outdated and has no menu. I am tired this morning. And cranky. I spent the night before with Yelpers (and Bigfoot) at an Elite event and, as many of you know, nights with Yelpers never end early. I'm sure it has something to do with the fun and mayhem and WHEEEEEEE.... anyway, so this morning I have to get up early for PT and ::gasp!:: exercise before coffee on less than 5 hours of sleep.... (Oh... AND I have PMS!) Okay, I know, what does all THAT have to do with Honey Dip Donuts... WELLL... here I am in a mood to be a grump all day but I decide a bagel and coffee may help a little so I head towards the so-so best bet in town, Bambini's when I spot Honey Dip on the right out of the corner of my eye. OH YES! I had been meaning to try this place... so I drive around the drive through but then decide it might be better if I just went in. Inside is nothing special... It looks like a donut shop, and it's a little run down. Not messy or anything, it's all very clean. But run down. I'll admit I was surprised about the all-Vietnamese staff (and, presumably, owners). It not the visual you'd associate with a Donut shop but it is a match well made. I place my order slowly (I'm ordering for me and a couple of coworkers) while they run about helping other people. Me: "Wheat Bagel" (No wheat bagels) Them: "Oh! We might have made more, let's look in back for you!" (Out comes wheat bagel). Me: "Chocolate glazed donut" (In the bag!) "Ummm.... Ham, egg, and cheese on a croissant." As that's being made I look around... uh oh... no Visa/MC signs in sight... no swipe machine.... "Uh... are you guys cash only?" CRAP!! Yes, cash only. They are too small a business to deal with credit cards, I am informed, but no worries!! "You pay next time." "Wha?" This has happened only one other time to me, at Vietgrill in Canton, which now leads me to believe that Vietnamese people are the nicest, most trusting folks on the planet. Genetically. And when I'm all done and have my coffee... one of the gentlemen throws in "something sweet" for me, their signature Honey Dip donut. Nice touch! Kindness is really the best marketing tool. When no one was looking, I slipped my only dollar and a "You've Been Yelped" card in the tip jar and then promised to come back soon to pay my new-found debt and spend more money. The service alone makes me inclined to give them five stars, but, as it turns out... so does the food! The donuts were exactly what donuts should be... Crispy on the outside, soft and cakey in the inside. Oh so good. But the real star is the breakfast sandwich. Don't expect what you get at Dunkin. This croissant was made on premises. The ham is sliced. The eggs is grilled to order. And then it's all wrapped in foil to keep it hot. This may be the most delicious Ham, Egg, and Cheese on Croissant I have ever had (and, believe me, it's an old standard, so I've tried a lot.) Lastly, the coffee is New England Coffee... and it tasted fresh brewed and was piping hot. Did I mention that my total bill is $7.90? No wonder they can't afford to take credit cards! Go to Honey Dip. Give them plenty of business. And make sure to bring along some cash. Okay... so I'm still tired. REALLY tired. But I'm a hell of a lot less cranky. read more

This place is my go to when I am home. I get the Ham egg & cheese on sesame but they have various breakfast sandwiches. I also love getting a strawberry banana smoothie and they always treat their customers so well. This spot is cash only and so worth it. The food stays hot for up to 45 min in the tin foil!! Disclaimer: I can't in good conscience give businesses that do cash only five star reviews, simply because I think a lot of people these days do not carry cash for obvious reasons. Not helping matters is that it really doesn't say anywhere that the place is cash only until you go inside. This is a bit problematic for the drive-thru. That being said, I was sorely tempted to here. My wife and I ordered two breakfast sandwiches a smoothie and a large coffee. I don't drink coffee so I can't speak to its quality, but my wife seem to like it. The orange and mango smoothie I ordered is absolutely delicious. It's not bitter like what you would expect it's actually quite sweet. The breakfast sandwiches were very well cooked and they didn't skimp on the egg or the sausage. So while it's a pain in the butt to have to go and get cash out before getting food here, I have to say that I am very impressed and I will be back. read more

I didn't start going here until last year and I'd go twice a week because it was great! Its delicious!!! Thick bagels, good iced coffee, donuts, and smoothies. Everything is so fresh. After reading the reviews to this place, I forced my bf to drive me here before work so we could check it out. The shop is very small with only 3-4 tables inside, but there is a drive-thru if you're on your way to work. It's a little outdated inside, but it kind of reminded me of a 70's diner. Two Vietnamese men were running the joint, and both were friendly. I got a breakfast sandwich on a bulkie roll with sausage. My bf got one with bacon on a croissant. He fell in love with his. While mine was very good, the bulkie roll was really just a hamburger bun. I also wish they had more cheese selections because I don't really like American cheese. This became my go-to coffee place when I was working in Marlborough. The Dunkins' in the area are always ten cars deep, and the quality . . . mercurial. Honey Dip is so amazingly different. Never a line. The coffee? Same every time. Mild, never bitter, never burnt. Consistency. The donuts are really heavenly and HUGE, and the service is fast, friendly, and second to none. I always got a cheerful "Happy Monday!" or, even better, "Happy Friday!" as appropriate. I really can't say enough about the two brothers who own and run this place. They're so sweet, and as a regular every now and again I'd get a free muffin or donut. Hey, what a reason to become a regular, right? Walking in, the store is nothing fancy and the service is straightforward. We got the sausage, egg & cheese bagel and the far eastern bagel. We also tried the honey dip donut and had a coffee. The food is freshly made on the spot. The portions are generous and the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. The coffee was super sweet (how he likes it) and the donut was soft and fluffy! The owners at Honey Dip truly do make the experience wonderful. I work down the street and figured why not support the local businesses so I went in for breakfast. I ordered a smoothie and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. I didn't realize that it was cash only and was super embarrassed when it came time to pay. So I was jonesing for a donut this morning and il not a Dunkin or Honey Dew fan. I'm used to freshly baked in a donut shop or bakery having lived in the Midwest and on the West Coast. I read the reviews for Honey Dip and thought 'well, it's worth a try.' I am so glad I went!!! The reviews do not lie. This place is awesome and the owners and servers are truly some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure to meet. I had the ham/egg/cheese on the regular bagel. I,too, had to let the sandwich cool a little before I bit in. Super delicious!! I also ordered 3 donuts just to try the different ones intending only to take a couple of bites of each.....I ate all 3!!! I had the chocolate iced, glazed donut and the chocolate iced Boston cream. First visit after reading rave revues - very disappointing. Asked for 6 honey dip doughnuts but only four were left at 8:15 am. They did not look fresh but took them anyway. Unfortunately they tasted as stale as they looked. Clerk said, "Four dollars," but when I got back in the car I had only $14 in change from a $20 bill so I actually paid $6. So I don't love trying new places at a drive through, when I don't know the menu- but the man taking my order was very patient. I have been on an iced tea kick and didn't see it on the menu but I was informed that they do have it. Bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel, and I was good to go! Thankfully, I had cash, as it's a cash only establishment. I pulled around to the window and had to wait a few minutes. I was getting irritated, but paid and smiled and went on my way. I was about to dig into the sandwich but I realized it was foil wrapped, which made me exceedingly happy- now I could wait to eat at work! When I arrived and opened my sandwich, I discovered why I had to wait a few minutes. THERE ARE REAL EGGS IN MY SANDWICH. Fried eggs. With yolks. Not a yellow mushy SpongeBob impersonation. And the bacon was actually fried in a pan. It tasted so dang good I couldn't even believe it. Bagel was chewy and massive, and this sandwich was SO worth the three minute wait! The ice tea is delish as well, I think it's a Jasmine tea. I will totally return to Honey Dip to try a donut! Next time I'm going in so that I can see what else they have!!! read more
