This place was DELICIOUS. My boyfriend and I are in town for a wedding this weekend and this place was close to our hotel. We ordered online and our food was ready when we got there. My order was an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, which was perfect 10/10. My boyfriend got a bagel, egg, cheese with pepper& onions. It was also amazing. The side hashbrown was crispy and good. Greasy, but expected. The macadamian nut cold foam on my iced coffee was just perfect. The chocolate crossiant was just okay, nothing crazy. I will say, in Vermont the bagels aren't that good so maybe I'm easy to please... but these were so good!!!!!

The bagels were fresh, the customer service was excellent, and the establishment was clean. I enjoyed the turkey, egg, and cheese bagel, which was delicious-- the egg was cooked perfectly and not runny. The coffee was piping hot and strong. I wish I could have tried their Reuben bagel sandwich, but maybe next time! There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. The location is great, with parking conveniently located off an accessible road. This place is a fantastic breakfast option compared to the hotel's complimentary breakfast.

BEC on a plain bagel

I make sure to stop by Bagelman every time I come up to see family in Brewster. My order is unoriginal (I would say classic). BEC on a plain bagel. Not toasted (it's never acceptable to toast an authentic NY Bagel). The bacon could have been a little crispier but still good. The staff hustle but aren't rude about it. I love it as it reminds me of home. It's know what you want; get in, get out, eat well. This isn't a fancy spot. What they do, they do well and don't invest a lot of fuss in decor or anything. They have Gabrielle's Black and White cookies which were thick and not dry at all. Also got a chocolate chip bagel with plain cream cheese. Where I live in FL there are very few places like this. I went later in the morning but it was a Saturday so there was a line but it moved quickly. Will continue to be my one "must do" stop when I'm in the area.

Overpriced charge to slice bagels.

Costs more to slice a bagel then the bagel itself...REALLY? Upon approving a receipt for a couple dozen bagels, I was shocked to see how much was charged to simply slice a bagel. The cost for 1 dozen was 20.80, but the cost to slice that dozen was 24.33! How could you charge more to slice a bagel than the product itself? So, for two dozen, we paid close to $50 to slice them. I will NEVER support this company again. Absolute Joke!

Excellent food, clean, fast service. If eating inside they give fresh macaroni salad with your sandwich at no charge. Great selections.

We get bagels from here almost every weekend (after finding a hair in a bagel we got at a nearby Dunkin!) and we're very pleased with the quality and the service. We always order ahead on the ChowNow app and by the time we drive to pick it up, it's ready in the area they have set aside for online orders. Quick and easy, contactless because it's already paid for and best of all, with the app/website they use, the restaurant isn't charged outrageous fees which I appreciate. I also got a bacon, egg and cheese on a roll one time and it was fine. The bagels are always fresh and they put a good amount of cream cheese on them but not so much that it's glooping off when you take a bite. Coffee is decent as well. If you go here, I recommend ordering ahead or going early to avoid a wait.

Big fan of bagel man since young :) their quality depends on the day sometimes but it's always fun to try new things here. Although their prices went up it's still affordable for the quality. Ordering is easy sometimes takes a while you just have to come at those sweet quiet times in the middle of rushes. Otherwise, online or phone orders are easy.

American Combo

First time trying a sandwich from here and it did not disappoint. I added a thousand island dressing to my American Combo and it made it even better. The coleslaw was okay. I added some stuff to give it a but more flavor. The place was clean and had lots of seating and the service was quick and friendly.

Bagels are good but the operation of things is so disjointed. Two bagels to go took forever!

Good bagels, made fresh and on-site. They'll build nearly any kind of sandwich you want on a bagel, too! Coffee is kind of gross, though.

My daughter got a classic plain bagel generously spread with cream cheese, which she enjoyed. To accompany it, she chose a matcha drink topped with strawberry foam, a delightful combination that was visually appealing; She said it reminded her of a cherry blossom. I felt overwhelmed with the menu and opted for a chai beverage with lavender foam, because it was pictured on the menu by the cashier. I chose to eat a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel, because I heard a worker call out some one's order and quickly thought that sounded good. I felt anxious because there was people behind me, so I did not even read the whole menu. We shared an order of fries, which arrived hot and crispy. My daughter appreciated how they stood warm til the last bite. Afterward, I learned that Bagelman has been a staple in the Danbury community since 1984, known for its fresh, made from scratch bagels and a variety of cream cheese flavors, If I ever come back here I'll definitely explore their scallion or walnut and raisin flavor, depending on the bagel I get. They also offer vegetable, olive, strawberry, lox spread, and peanut butter & jelly. For those planning a visit, Bagelman offers online ordering through their app, which can be a convenient option during peak hours. It'll give you time to explore their extensive menu better. Their dedication to freshness make it a worthwhile stop.

I don't know if the owner or decision maker here has ever been in a bagel shop…read more You cannot order a single bagel with cream cheese. You can only order in quantities of 3, 6, or 12. So if you are just stopping in on your way to work it should be a pass. The bagels are also super expensive and incredibly soft, does not appear to have much crust. And I would know because I have 3 bagels all to myself to critique . Super disappointed.

ORIGIN: Popup Bagels was founded by Adam Goldberg during the…read moreheight of the pandemic, when Goldberg explored bread baking. Initially sharing with friends and family, the Connecticut resident started selling via popups and pickups in New York and Connecticut. You would think New York already had a good source of bagels, but after its first stand-alone location opened in 2021, momentum developed and other storefronts were initiated in New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. LOCATION: This Popup Bagels is located in a shopping plaza in suburban Newtown, Connecticut. CONCEPT: Compared to other bagel shops, Popup Bagels a limited number of bagel flavors (plain, salt, everything, poppy, sesame) and tubs of weekly-changing flavors of butter and cream cheese (such as martini cream cheese and lemon butter) in addition to those regularly available (such as scallion cream cheese). Sandwiches are not prepared for customers -- they are encouraged to "grip, rip, and dip" bagels into their chosen Schmear. ATMOSPHERE: The interior is crisply designed with a modern feel. SERVICE: From an investment perspective, the concept is brilliantly efficient. Limited hours (7-noon Wednesday and Thursday, 7-1 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), limited choices, no sandwich/beverage prep, and online ordering encouraged, make the service efficient from both effort and material perspective. FOOD: Compared to other bagel shops the bagels are attractively packaged with open totes, inviting the aroma of the bagels to greet the customer. The exterior is covered by the topping, rather than sprinkled. The bagel is crisp and chewy on the exterior, but fluffy in the interior. In addition, tubs of smoked fish-based spreads are available. TIPS: The chain is expanding into Southern California. On Thursdays Schmear flavors change. The flavors are announced on Popup Bagels website. Although pre-orders are welcomed to ensure your pick, the online system does demand a minimum of a dozen are purchased. Ordering in person allows a three bagel minimum. The company recommends running water over the bagels, and placing in a preheated 350 degree oven for six minutes to crisp the exterior. Note the shop closes at noon on weekdays, 1 o'clock on weekends.
