My daughter got a classic plain bagel generously spread with cream cheese, which she enjoyed. This Bagelman has started charging 50 cemts to slice your bagel again. It takes about three seconds to slice a bagel. That works out to $10 a minute for labor, or $600 an hour for "bagel slicing". I've apparently chosen the wrong profession, as bagel slicing now pays more than a MD, without the need for all that time and expensive education. Complete Rip-Off!!! read more

As a regular at this bagel man service is almost always great. However when I get this one cashier or server Named Elijah the service he gives me will never fail to be some of the worst service I've seen at this bagelman. It's like he owns the place, some of the of the things i've seen him do was sitting in the corner during a rush, steal drinks and food from the refrigerated section, and last but not least i've noticed he always smells like smoke. I ordered three sandwiches. They were not honest on the menu about what you get with an add-on. I paid $1.60 to have avocado added to my sandwich and they barely put any on the sandwich. I don't know who owns this place, but leaving Sarah as the manager in charge is costing you a lot of customers. Always rude, not helpful. I called once to ask why the smoothie option wasn't on the app and if there was a way to pay for it, legit said she doesn't handle the app and doesn't have time for it. Unfortunately I could not get out of my driveway because my car was blocked in. I called and asked if they could please refund me as I could not come and get the food. I understand that it was my mistake and my problem but they okayed my refund and then called back to say they couldn't refund me because they made the food already. I want to start this review by saying that I have loved bagelman for years and whenever I have people visit I always take them here because it's so good. But honestly lately I have been deciding not to go there because you have to factor in an additional 20min wait time just to get your order. They made changes to the interior awhile back but it's still so run down and dirty looking where costumers wait for their orders. It seems the people working there have a disorganized system as well. The workers are typically chatting and walking back and forth and ignoring all the costumers waiting. I usually like to order a bacon egg and cheese but don't now because it takes forever. So I order a bagel and cream cheese (not even toasted) in hopes it'll be quicker and I still wait 15min. And guess what..... they got my order wrong when I got home even though the order is on the bag they give me. I have really tried many times to give this spot a chance. Today was the last straw. Whenever you walk in there, the staff looks miserable. My absolute favorite place for breakfast, brunch and lunch and snack and whenever I'm hungry and want something simple. So many choices that I know will be good. Bagel is fresh and everything taste fresh and made as if it's homemade. Toasted bagel. Sausage egg and cheese. Salmon cream cheese. After this place extended the space to have more seating areas with tv and tables, the orange theme reminds me of DD. I like the easy vibe here. I recommend this as the to go place for a quick bite or morning food/brunches. I have not been disappointed. (Service can be a hit or miss, especially since they are more and more busy). These kids / young people DO NOT want to be there. No hellos, how's it going, no pleasantries at all. We ordered on their app and arranged for curbside pick-up at 11:15. By 11:35, after waiting on hold for 20 minutes, while our food got cold, I gave in and walked inside. People were packed inside, not maintaining any distance. One guy had no mask on. Nobody working there said anything. The employee argued with me saying that you have to call to get curbside. They said that they would bring it out. I waited another 15 minutes. I called again several times and the phone was busy. Nobody picked up. Then I went back in and they gave me a big bag that had been sitting there the first time I went in. It was a big order. I felt exposed to Covid and had I known that they don't really do curbside pick up, I would not have ordered. If I get Covid from getting bagels, I'm going to be very angry. I've had issues in the past with them messing up my order but I always let it slide because they usually are busy and people make mistakes. They checked off everything on the paper so I didn't check my bag . I get home and my sandwich is missing I call them up and they tell me that they definitely put it in the bag. I echo the reviews about the terrible service and the quality of their hires is pathetic. The staff really do not want to be there and their behavior proves it. No greeting, no thank you, nothing. Had to wait until the clerk at the register adjusted his hat, his pants, and apparently for his eyes to focus on me in front of him. I asked for a Reuben but with corned beef, not pastrami. That completely threw him and I said just make it as normal. I also asked for a dill pickle on the side. The order finally came out and no pickle. I took it back up and got it back with sliced pickles on the sandwich. Had to return it a third time for them to get it right. The pickle looked like it had been stepped on and the pastrami looked like it had been on the grill all day (and not much of it). Finally, the other big irritant is at least 30 minutes before closing the staff start sweeping up, mopping, and taking out trash even when there are guests in the dining room. Rude!!!
