Being a bagel snob from New York, I was not impressed when I stopped here the other day. I have no idea how they've bee voted best bagel in Worcester since 1992 , so says the sign on the store. I've had better bagels from convenience stores. For $1.87, I received what amounted to a Lenders Bagel. There wasn't much taste and it was tiny. It looked like it was made for my three year old. As for the help, unlike some other reviewers, I have no complaints. While the lady that helped me wasn't super friendly, she wasn't rude either. Needless to say, I have no intention of stopping here again. I'll go across the street to Price Chopper and buy a bagel and a tub of butter first. read more

The bagels here are delicious. The coffee here is also really good. But, back to the bagels. I've tried different kinds and they have all been really fantastic. The different cream cheese options are also delicious. They also have many different pastries available and sandwich options that I have not tried yet. The place seems a little dated, which makes sense, seeing as they have been at that location for a bit. I find it barely noticeable, usually the delicious smell of the bagels is the most noticable feature when you walk through the door. They're nice and soft on the inside. They have a diverse selection of flavors as well, so everyone can find something they like. Make sure you get here early, I'm usually here before 8am and have never had a problem ordering. Probably the best bagels in worcester. They ran out of jalapeños bagels the ONE time I show up and was waiting 40 minutes and 30 mins i. they run out, I wanted a jalapeño bagel. Not to mention its very Crammed space and is a mess you dont even know where the line is , they need to have better efficiency in taking orders and to making a bagel. Bagels are good...a bit pricey, but they really need to work on manners and customer appreciation. No one ever says thank you or you're welcome even when I say thank you to them when I get my order. The young lady at the cash register is downright rude, in addition to not wearing her mask properly and coughing. Any food establishment is only as good as it treats it's customers. I've been to Bagel Time 3 or 4 times and I have always enjoyed my food! Today I ordered the chicken salad on a plain bagel and it was delicious! The bagels are made in house and are always super fresh. I've had their egg and cheese on their jalapeño cheddar bagel and it was scrumptious! If you go on a Saturday or Sunday morning, be prepared for a line! Parking can get tricky when it's busy because their lot can't hold the demand. I went today (Wednesday afternoon) and it was easy in and easy out! Prices are reasonable and they have a variety of juices, coffee, tea and smoothies. Great lunch option! A little disappointed in their service, I understand with this pandemic you want to take all precautions, but not letting your customers inside the bagel shop. Taking their order at the door and only opening the door halfway and saying "what do you want" thenasking for money up front without knowing the total that is due. I think it's poor service on your part. I try to support small businesses because they really are struggling, but I will not be returning. I can't believe there were elderly people standing outside to place their order in 26 degree weather. Thanks but no thanks won't be returning again. Great bagels, horrible policies and service. Whoever heard of a bagel shop where you had to RESERVE your bagels to be allowed to purchase them??? I tried to buy two dozen bagels the other morning and was told no. I then asked for one dozen. Again the answer was no. I was then told that if I wanted to purchase more than one or two bagels I needed to have called and reserved them. What??? After having stood on line for ten minutes, I wasn't going to be allowed to buy bagels???? The nasty woman behind the counter pointed to bags of bagels and told me that this is how you get bagels in bulk... You call and order them ahead of time. Big problem here. First of all, if you are only making enough bagels to assure that you sell out, then what does it matter at what time that happens? BUT if you want to stay open and satisfy your customers, hire more people so that you can produce enough to allow customers to purchase a reasonable amount (and one or two dozen bagels is certainly reasonable) without a reservation. You may have delicious bagels but your policies and nasty help assure that we will NEVER go back to Bageltime. You are a bagel store. You sell bagels, not luxury vacations that need to be booked in advance. read more

Bagel Time was the best bakery pit stop on our hot dog tour of Worcester. It had been on my list and thankfully we had a pipsqueak doing some cheerleading for us to stop here. It was absolutely worth it. I got a bagel to go but the pipsqueak finished hers and was raring to go for another. Barbara and I split a rice pudding. Best I've had in a long long time. I also got some confectionary sugar covered cookie that was fantabulous. The macaroons were OK but I've had better. Part of me wishes I had never wandered into Bagel Time craving lox on a fresh bagel. Part of me dreams about the chewy outside& tender goodness that is a Bagel Time bagel. For lunch I had the traditional Nova lox with onions & tomatoes with a schmear of plain cream cheese on a toasted onion bagel. This morning I drove the 20 minutes back down Park Ave to have another onion bagel -- this time lovingly schmeared with their Miami cream cheese ( heavenly concoction of cream cheese, lox bits, scallions & horseradish -- so good!). I'm a bagel snob. My roommate throughout college was from Long Island and taught me what real bagels are like. Nevertheless, these come pretty close. They are boiled bagels that are fresh, yummy and underpriced. I bring them in for my co-workers on the weekend and we enjoy them! They also have wonderfully flavored cream cheese - I love the one with the apricots and honey. Every time I go I get something different, and they have more than bagels (but I haven't branched that far out yet). I'm surprised I don't see more WPI students here on the weekends, but I do go in quite early... If you are in the area and looking for a great bagel, look no further! read more

My friends and I told her it was our first time and she says "Can I put your orders in the same bag?". I love the bagels because they're reasonably sized and not super-sized, they are not so dense where you feel like a brick is in your stomach when you're finished eating, they're usually warm and there are TONS of cream cheese selections. My favorite that I had today was the spinach and garlic bagel with scallion bacon cream cheese. I also had to pick up a medium coffee with a sourdough bagel as is...those three things cost under $6, which is a steal especially compared to some very expensive 'gourmet' coffee shops. I've previously had lunch there and their sandwiches and various salads are fresh and home-like. I believe its family run/owned and they're all incredibly nice and appreciative of the business. The fact that its a handmade and homemade.. its so goooood! some kind of addiction of wanting to grab bagels everytime in here... didn't know as well that savoury bagels could be this good though:') they have such incredible fillings and toppings of what's inside of the bagels... however the thing is, I had to queue 30 mins to just get the bagels outside (so cold) and when I went inside, they were like rushing us on what to get.. it was our first time though, so we didnt know what to order, where to start from, and how usually it goes... and it was very rude to ask customer "what do you want".. i was like.. should you put that kind of attitude?! they didnt explain the menu to us, we confused, and we felt very intimidated because we were like being pushed on what to order... we tried to ask them but they were like being a bit ignorant toward us and focusing to another things.. maybe I understand they were busy.. but its a part of customer service though.. you can't make customer feels intimidated when ordering (and its first time).. also, the counter girl was like "breathing heavily and like rolling eyes" on us when we were saying we wanted to add some more bagels.. they were acting like they wanted us to go as fast as we can... its so impolite hmm.. but the bagels were satisfying.. very very good.. big applause for finding savoury bagels like that:) hopefully they can improve the customer service and know how to talk to customers! read more

Where to get a half sour pickle? A deli. Where is there a deli nearby? Well, Bagel Time had sandwiches, do they have pickles? Check their website... half sour pickles! Sold! I got the overstuffed chicken salad bagel sandwich. Their chicken salad is yummy, but oculd use a little more salt or pepper or something to liven it up just a touch. The bagel is on the smaller side, but really, REALLY good. Chewy and nicely toasted. The pickle was DELISH, exactly what I wanted. I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie on a whim, and it was just eh. Too crispy on the edges and not great texture or taste. The one thing about Bagel Time is prices are pretty high for what you get. $1.40 for a can of soda and $2 for my mediocre cookie seemed super steep. read more

I've been going here ever since high school for bagels. Their bagels are delicious and I love the fresh cream cheese. I've tried their coffee both hot and cold and wouldn't recommend it especially for the price. I've also tried their kale smoothies but for some reason they don't have a method of taking orders. They will clear the long line then make my smoothie. I'll have my bagel for a good 10-15 mins before they even start my smoothie. I would order this more I just don't have 20-25 mins to spend at a bagel spot. Good Service Depends on who's working the counter. Some staff are pleasant others are rude and unpleasant. I had a Turkey Time on an everything bagel for lunch, and it was really pretty good. They put a lot of mustard on it, but it was good tasting mustard. There isn't a lot of seating in the place, and they only have tables for two and four. Our large group of seven had to take two tables, which we moved together into one big table, no problem. There is a large variety of things there! They have baked goods besides bagels, like cookies and brownies. They have a large array of cream cheese flavors, and they sell it in multiple-serving containers if you are a fan. They serve chicken salad, green salads and other vegetarian options too. I'm missing other things too. For the amount of food I got, it was really expensive. My tab came out to be $9 for a Turkey Time and small hot tea. The turkey was sliced deli turkey, which was okay, but I consider this a pretty pricey lunch. I left a little hungry since I'm a big eater, but I didn't want to buy anything else here. read more

BagelTime is your standard stripmall bagel shop, but it does offer tofutti cream cheese, which makes it stand apart. Also, its bagels are pretty good---I had a toasted whole wheat and was mightily impressed with its taste and texture. BagelTime also has some vegan soups, but no vegan desserts, sadly.
