The first thing you notice when you walk in is a completely disorganized ordering system. For some reason it takes at least 10 to 15 minutes to get up to the register to order, with only three people in front of you. Then you notice that this bagel shop does not show any of their bagels; every basket is empty! If you want to sell the goods, you need to show them! After you order, you should plan to wait another 15 minutes for a toasted bagel or 20 to 25 minutes for a sandwich. This makes no sense for people that are in a rush. The bagel sandwiches and bagels themselves are always good, but definitely not worth the wait. None of the workers are hustling to get things done and keep people moving They would have a lot more sales if they got people in and out in a timely manner. read more

Bagels that you can get and then go across the street to eat in the park, how awesome is that? It's pretty awesome! This place has an extra good veggie sammich that I like to get on a garlic bagel as a way to make sure that I'm not turning into some damned vampire, and also make sure that strangers don't try to spark in conversations with me. The bagels are great. However, the service is terrible. The staff is not friendly and makes you feel bad when you question where your food is. The wait for a breakfast sandwich is about 35 minutes. The staff will hand you the wrong sandwich and then blame you for their mistakes when customers don't have their orders. read more

I always get the "Good Morning" breakfast sandwich on whatever bagel I'm feeling (usually Asiago) and it is messy and perfect and crazy delicious. I'm salivating just thinking about it. I haven't tried any of their lunch items yet. But everything looks really good. It seems like a very popular college place, it's always super busy. Take a look at the 1 and 2 star reviews and the only complaint they have is "customer service." I go here all the time, if you feel they were rude to you then you were probably rude to them first to be honest, they are pretty chill. Went for the first time today; staff were either no mask or mask worn on the chin and no gloves evident. I realise restrictions have been lifted but this basically meant that I left right away. Well, I just had the most embarrassing and nastiest intersection at Bagel Time. I called ahead like most people probably do and placed my order. Arrived there about 20 min later and I noticed about 6-8 groups waiting. I stood in line for a good 10 minutes and proceeded to ask everyone ahead of me if they were there to place an order or to pick up. Everyone said to place an order. When the owner or daughter of the owner (short woman with black short hair) came out I informed her that I was there just to pick up a small order. She processed to answer with the nastiest demeanor that I had to go back inline and wait like everyone else. I asked what was the point of the call ahead. She replied with "everyone in the line called too"!! When I told her I had just asked everyone and they said no, she RUDELY took my card and ROLLED HER EYES!!!!!!!! I get it, maybe I should have waited in line but her attitude really took me back. This place is was full of college students waiting outside who proceeded to laugh out loud at what had just happened. So not only were her "customer service" skills off (which by the way I've seen her with my very own eyes pick and choose who to be nice to while waiting in line!!!!) she also made me feel humiliated. All this to say, we are big supporters of small businesses. We orden from this place a few times a WEEK. Be mindful of who you choose to support. This behavior is never ok. If you have a business that caters to customers your communication and customer service skills should be phenomenal. This sadly is not the case here, from my experience and others reviews I've read. Went here for the first time today and got an Asiago bagel with cream cheese. I also got half a dozen, day old bagels for 2.99. The bagels are so tasty and I will definitely come back! The inside has such a cute atmosphere, I hope in the future they allow people to dine in! read more

My first visit to Bagel Time during the Covid-19 pandemic, and it was so good I have since been back. They handled everything perfectly from allowing me to order ahead on Instagram, to the prompt curbside pickup experience. Both the Asiago and Jalapeño bagels are my favorite. The bagels were fresh and warm when I picked them up at 8:00am. They also made a great breakfast sandwich, with a generous egg and sausage patty that filled the already big bagel. read more

When you go to a BAGEL SHOP, it's insane that they won't give you any BAGELS unless it's a sandwich, because they are "busy". You've been open for how many years?? How do you not prepare to be busy? On top of that, the girl at the register rolled her eyes and took out her phone as soon as I got thrown off with that info(there was no sign). Trying to decide which sandwich I wanted and asked if I could have the bagel sandwich with the egg soft scrambled, she looked at me like I had five heads, so I asked how the egg was prepared she literally said "they can't it's fried, like an egg on top of an egg" HUH??? one of the best bagels i've had, it speaks volumes that i'm more than willing to sit there for over a forty minute wait every time for this bagel. highly recommend the bacon egg and cheese or good morning on an asiago bagel. with that being said, every time i come here, they have one person working up front taking orders and also giving the orders out when they're ready. it seems like they only have one person in the back making the food as well. their bagels and sandwiches are perfect, but they could definitely improve their organization, simply having more workers there to help out seems like it would fix this. (it goes without saying that the place is always packed and it's hard to walk in at times with the wait.) basically, be prepared for amazing food, but usually a 40-60 minute wait for a bagel sandwich. read more

I've only been here a few times, but every time has been a positive experience. I feel bad that some people had such negative experiences here :-( Anyway, so I may be a little late but I recently tried a nova lox bagel for the first time in Atlanta. That experience was extremely lackluster, but I think it's because of the place I bought it from. So anyway I stop by Bagel Time on a Wednesday morning because I heard they have the best nova lox in town? So I get a Nova Lox on an everything bagel and of course, it was everything I had expected and more. I love Bagel Time because of their delicious fresh bagels and variety of unique cream cheese flavors. It's fresh and way better than the store brand. I agree that they need to get rid of the $10 card minimum for purchase, but other than that the owners are decent people and this is definitely one of my favorite neighborhood spots to get breakfast from. The room is also set up weird so sometimes you don't know who is waiting for their order and who is in line to make an order. And if you try to call ahead, it's rare they pick up the phone. Amazing! Fantastic selection of homemade bagels and homemade cream cheese. They will customize pretty much anything for you. The veggies are fresh, not wilted. And the bagels are soft and chewy on the inside and perfectly crusty on the outside, the way a proper bagel should be. The coffee is always fresh, but usually just ok. In today's topsy turvy, inconsistent world, one can always take comfort in the steadfast notion that you will have a bad customer service experience at Bagel Time. The employees are Impressively consistent in their surliness - it's just amazing to encounter every employee, young and old, with a 'tude, and nary a please, thank you, or sorry to be heard. I asked for an additional large bag in which to consolidate multiple small bags, and it was as if I'd asked the girl for her first born child, or a platypus or something equally outlandish. And to boot, this is all in front of multiple cheerful Home Goods-tastic signs reading, among other things, "Good Vibes Only" - a directive that is, I guess, just for the customers, who all seemed very nice, suffering as we were under the tyranny of this Park Avenue gulag, smiles of solidarity on our faces communicating yes, we are in this together. Honestly the two stars here are for the bagels themselves, which are, ironically, actually very good... the secret must be the chefs' spite. But judging by the number of other reviews expressing similar sentiments as to the customer service, seems like there is definitely - if you will - a hole in the center of this business. read more

I returned to try to SEC - sausage egg and cheese bagel on an Indian Harvest. Although the place was poppin this morning I got in and out in maybe 5-7 minutes. Also the bagel sandwich was as expected and this time the egg texture was firm. The sandwich was missing something though. Would have been nice with a side of salsa or something like that. The Indian harvest bagel is a mix of the sunflower and multigrain bagels - you can imagine the very mild taste. read more

This place was crowded so there was a bit of a wait, but we still got a table and the food was great. They were out of everything bagels, but the garlic bagel was very good. I got the Good Morning which was a bagel sandwich with sausage, egg, and avocado. It was made relatively fast. There were actually a few flies bothering us throughout breakfast, which wasn't great. There was a rush that came in right after me and I arrived at 8am! If you're ordering bagels and just picking them up at the counter, you're in and out pretty fast it seems. Otherwise you'll wait a few for your hot food orders. It's not a chain store, let's not put too much expectations on how fast people should be. If one can see how many people are working let's be realistic. I probably couldn't move that fast so they're doing pretty good. Really really great bagels. We recently discovered this spot and after trying a number of places in Worcester, in my opinion, this is one of the best breakfast spots in town. The bagels are chewey and delicious. My husband usually gets the egg and cheese on a jalapeno cheese bagel with hot sauce. It's amazing. I usually get a bagel and cream cheese. I also love their muffins, my favorite: cranberry. Yum!!! I gave them 4 stars because their coffee just isn't that good. I'd get the coffee somewhere else. But they have great food. read more

My daughter loves bagels and since she was on this magical Worcester tour with us, we made a pilgrimage here. She had two while we were here and she said it was the best bagel she ever had. I had a coconut macaroon and it was good but had an interesting (not necessarily bad) after taste. I also split a rice pudding with Frannie and it was good - not runny, not too much vanilla, no skin on top (good sign). The iced tea was fresh brewed and tasted amazing with no sugar at all which is also a good sign.
