Finally we got a new food court station to replace the former Pink's Hot Dog. I was excited to see this show up in the Brea Mall, because we desperately need more options here. It's never good when there's open spots and there's so many customers shopping here. I've tried their other location in the City of Industry, so wanted to see if they could pull off the same flavors in a 'fast food' setting. I ordered the pork chop with noodle + drink option. The other location had lemon tea as an option, but this location only had fountain drink sodas when the cashier asked which drink I wanted. Food was similar to the order I've had before, but something seemed off. The noodles were a but too soft, sticky, over done perhaps? Pork chop was 'okay'. Same price of $15 for this, and it is expensive for the value you get. The signature dumpling was warm/cold... not sure if it was reheated or what, but it wasn't a "must" get for their signature dish. Flavor was just 'okay'. The lady that helped at the cashier station seemed disinterested. No eye contact, and just sort grumpy with her position. I would expect that it being inside the mall, they would have someone be more excited and pleasant to work here, and invite the customers. It's a new location, why not be excited just a little? I appreciate that they have this as an option at the mall, but the flavors, the value, and the service isn't on par with what you could get in Rowland Heights area for similar food. Would it satisfy non Asian diners that want to try something different? Yes. Would it satisfy someone that usually eats Taiwanese dumplings/noodles/etc style food, not so much. read more

Quick service! Sesame noodles were bomb and so was the fried chicken. The spicy noodles and wontons were not spicy at all. Dumpling wraps are on the thicker/chewier side but the filling is good. Ridiculous Portion and Poor Customer Service at Bafang Dumpling (Brea Mall) We ordered two Pork Chop with Braised Pork Rice bowls at Bafang Dumpling in Brea Mall. One bowl came with three decent pieces of pork chop, while the other had only two small, thin pieces. To make matters worse, one of the bowls was even missing the Chinese sauerkraut that normally comes with the dish. (See photo -- this was taken before we touched or ate anything.) I asked the man with glasses at the counter (possibly the manager?) if the smaller portion was a mistake. To my surprise, he said the company had just changed the portion size, and that the bowl with two tiny pieces was now the correct serving -- while the one with three pieces had received an "extra by accident." I was shocked and asked again to confirm. He said yes, two pieces is now the standard. I even pointed out the difference by directly comparing the two bowls side-by-side -- showing him that one clearly had a more generous portion than the other. Despite the obvious comparison, he still insisted that the bowl with two small pieces was correct, and the other one was just a "bonus." I then pointed at the menu photo, which clearly shows a more generous serving, and highlighted how inconsistent the food was -- he simply responded, "I'm sorry. That's just how it is." Not only was the food underwhelming, but the dismissive attitude and lack of care or accountability from the staff made it even worse. No apology. No offer to make it right. No concern. Just "that's how it is." If it weren't for how absurdly small the two-piece pork chop portion was, and the missing side item, I wouldn't even bother wasting my time writing this review. But this level of service and quality deserves to be called out. Management seriously needs to improve -- both in portion control and basic customer service training. We won't be returning. There are too many better options out there to waste time and money here. read more

Their location is nestled in the middle of the Brea Mall food court with plenty of seating to eat your meal after you're done with your shopping! The menu is fairly straightforward and offers a variety of different combos. I chose Combo 2 which came with their Signature Potstickers and Signature Noodles. The total was about $13 which is reasonable given the amount of food you get. It took 5-10 minutes to get my food since the noodles seem to be made fresh. I was very satisfied with my meal -- the potstickers were nice and crispy while the noodles had a peanut butter base with a savory taste. Will definitely be back to try the rest of their offerings! I'm so excited this place is coming to Irvine. We stumbled upon this Taiwanese joint inside the brea food court and of course, I had to pay homage to my people! My friend and I shared the #2, there's 3 combos I believe. We paid $14 to share dumplings and noodles which are decent size, but not filling if you're sharing. We were so surprised by the quality of the food. The noodles are sesame noodles and you can tell they're hand-pulled. The dumplings were pan fried but so soft at the same time. I've been looking forward to trying bafang and it did not disappoint! For $13 you can get 6 potstickers and a nice sized bowl of noodles! Although none of the food blew me away I thought everything I had was tasty and was great quality for mall food (especially for the price). The potstickers had good flavor and went well with their sauces but they could be a bit more crispy. The noodles were really nice and chewy and had great sauces! Service was quick and we got our food in about 10 minutes. The worker was nice and explained their menu to us when we asked. Bafang overall is pretty good. They're fast, clean, and you can order ahead of time online. I've had their dumplings, corn soup, dry noodles, beef noodle soup, and frozen dumplings before. Their beef noodle soup is reasonably portioned and taste is more Taiwanese and pretty good. You don't feel like you've slurped down a ton of chemicals and oils. It's hard to come by a beef noodle soup that is better than mediocre nowadays. read more

I enjoy spicy and they had a tiny kick, nothing crazy. Oyster sauce was also good. The people were really nice as well. I first tried it close to Christmas on their opening day. And I like how the place looks as well. It's been empty for as long as I can remember, I'm glad it was like another burger place or something and I'm glad they went with noodles. Delicious! Came to the mall to shop with my wife and we wanted a snack. Well, she opted for Mongolian and I tried this spot that I was eyeing last visit to the mall. The spicy wonton are delicious. Flavorful. Actually spicy. I also had the kimchi and pork potstickers. Perfect amount of both main ingredients and love the crispy bottom. The cashier was friendly and the food was ready within ten minutes so rather quick. This place is in the mall food court so depending on the day, it's bustling and can get loud. Not that I mind. I grew up eating Taiwanese Dumplings and these are not only authentic, they have fresh noodles and pork tender/juicy pork chops. It takes awhile for them to make your food, but it's worth the wait. My favorite dish is the signature noodles. It's nutty, spicy, and savory. If you like dan dan noodles then you will like this dish because it has a similar flavor profile. I also got the signature dumplings with pork and cabbage in them but those were ok. The texture was good because of the crisp fry on the bottom of the dumplings but the flavor itself fell flat. It was still juicy I just felt like it was kind of bland. I bought a corn soup and while waiting for my food, they said they ran out... had to find another alternative.
