The company I work for uses these shirts for community service projects, and we needed something high-quality (we chose "Next Level" shirts), fairly priced, and ready on time--Bad Boy met all our needs. They offer delivery, but since I work near their warehouse, it's easy for me to pick up. Parking is limited, but the pickup is a quick in-and-out, so it hasn't been a problem for me. I've been designing and ordering shirts for a lot of my company's events and functions lately and Bad Boy Hawaii will definitely be one of my "go to" companies for t-shirt printing. Jay did a great job in expediting my order as we needed some shirts on a late notice. I e-mailed him my design and the number and types of shirts I needed and the turnaround time was 2 days. However, they get busy so ETA really depends on their work load. The shirts came out the way I had asked and he worked his magic to print the exact type of green I was looking for. LOCATION/PARKING Bad Boy Hawaii's shop is in a sketchy part of Kalihi near Costco. It's in the area of low-incoming housing and a half-way house. Parking is very minimal (2 stalls for Bad Boy customers) and very limited street parking. CUSTOMER SERVICE Jay was great and worked quickly with me as I needed to meet a deadline. He was also very easy to work with and didn't mind me putting in an order at the last minute and expecting a quick turnaround time. Turnaround times depend on how busy they are and how many requests they have. It was really easy to communicate w/Jay via e-mail but it was much quicker to get an answer by way of phone call. Jay will also work with you if you need ideas or need help designing shirts. CONVENIENCE I was able to get all of my questions answered and my order placed both over the phone and via e-mail. I didn't have to go to the shop once before picking up my order. Jay even e-mailed me a proof of my shirt to get my approval before he started the printing process. They also have a website (listed above) with all their services and examples of their work. PRICE Bad Boy's prices are reasonable and from what I understand, the more you order, the price goes down per shirt. PRODUCTS They are able to print on many different colors and types of shirts. Let them know exactly what you are looking for and they will match your request or choose one that's most similar to what you're looking for. I used to order my company shirts at branders.com (mainland company). Price is good but not the quality. So we decided to look elsewhere where the price was good and so was the quality. I was referred to bad boy hawaii (local company) by a friend who's been going to them for years. He had nothing but excellent things to say about them so decided to give it a go. I met the owner Jay Yano and I could instantly feel the friendly hospitality. friendly, professional, and welcoming kind of guy... I told him what i wanted and i GOT exactly what i wanted. It is a lot easier working with a person face to face instead of submitting a pdf file online. I wanted to make tweaks to the design and he was able to do it on the spot. I WAS AMAZED! He is a genius at what he does. I could also pick the type of shirt i wanted. the mainland company uses this type of cheap shirts because it feels thin. At bad boy hawaii, i was able to order a thicker, more durable type of shirts that wouldn't break apart so easy. I ordered my shirts and it was completed the following week. Again, i was AMAZED. I love going to the guys at Bad Boy Hawaii. We've had our baseball team shirts made up with them for the past 6 years and they have always been great. We changed leagues this year and aren't having any shirts made up even though I made a push to get some. Jay and his team are creative, flexible, reliable and the prices are great. For the post below speaking badly about forgetting and making up excuses, communication is a two way street. And everyone has the capability to review others. You don't need a professional license to do so. Personally I don't like yelp because it doesn't monitor posts and allows morons to write whatever they want with no evidence to back up their stories. I did tons of research and searched all over the island for a place to do quality printing to launch my clothing brand. I had a vision in mind, but needed an artist to work with, and a company that could handle the volume of my bigger jobs, and be able to get in small orders when needed to fill my inventory. Jay was super easy to get along with. He sat me down in the office and we talked over the direction of my company. Through this conversation I knew that this could be the place I was looking for. If you decide to go with Bad Boy for your printing needs, please read and BEWARE!!! I have never written a review on Yelp. I use it only to find services for myself but I had such a horrible experience with this company, I needed to warn others and educate them of the downfalls. I checked Yelp before contacting them, so I'm sure others will. I contacted the company to print uniforms & booster shirts for my son's baseball team in June 2014. It was a relatively straightforward order. We had our own graphics (2 sets for 2 uniforms) and I provided the company with the specifics on color for each shirt. I was told that the order was no problem. We were sent the specs of the two graphics and approved them because they appeared to meet our specifications. The order was printed in a fairly timely manner after that. Before I get in too far with the negatives, I will say that Jay, the owner, was very nice and helpful in the very beginning (until there was a problem). After the problems dragged on, he dismissed me and handed me off to his Assistant, Sara N. (note the 5 star review by a Sara N....coincidence? It makes you wonder who else he has on staff that wrote good reviews). Sare was very nice, though. The printing quality itself was not bad also. Now, unfortunately, the negatives (there were many but I will try to keep it short): 1) Problem with uniform #1 - I had specifically stated that the main lettering in the print be done in a dark red. To me, and I think most people, that meant a cardinal or blood red. When we got the uniforms, however, the lettering appeared to be an orange red, and looked orange when the kids were out in the sun. I can understand a color being slightly different than what was asked but this was shades and shades different. When I mentioned this to Jay, he stated that it was an "optical illusion." Ludicrous! What do you do with uniforms other than to look at them? He said that he used his standard, basic red but the printing application caused the red to lighten. He also said he would have to mix a special red if I wanted it darker, which would add cost. That would be ok if I had been told this would happen before the printing was done. I would have been given the option to consult the team on the new cost, or I could have changed the color scheme altogether. He basically never communicated a problem he obviously knew could happen and I wasn't given the opportunity figure out a solution. 2) Problem with uniform #2 - This logo was basically just a very large letter printed in special graphic. We were using this print for coaches' shirts and booster shirts as well. The adult shirts looked ok when we got them; however, the kids' uniforms did not. I believe the practice at most printers is to shrink the size of a large logo when you go from printing adult shirts to youth shirts. I would think that it's Printing 101. Never did I think that I had to tell a printer to do so. The same size logo was used for both adult and youth shirts. If you can imagine that a child's medium shirt was printed with the same size as a men's large or x-large. The logos were so big that the bottom third to half of it was not visible when the kids tucked their shirts in. When told of this problem, Jay suggested the players just pull out the shirts more. Since there was only about 3 inches from the bottom of the logo to the hem of the shirt, you can imagine that the kids looked quite sloppy when we tried, or had the shirts hanging out altogether--a no-no in baseball. The red on this shirt also appeared to have an orange tinge as well. 3) Poor service when there was a problem - I asked for both uniforms to be reprinted. We paid good money for them, we were specific about what we wanted, and the shirts that were given to us looked nothing like the specs that we approved. Any self-respecting business would do what they could to rectify the problem. Let me just tell you I had to fight tooth and nail to get new uniforms printed. It is now October 2015 (1 yr & 4 months since the original was put in) and we've only now received the second set of uniforms. They kept saying they were backed up. FOR ONE YEAR! Can you imagine how many other jobs they're backed up on? 4) No accountability/bad with communication - You can see by what he said to explain the problem that Jay is full of excuses. Another reviewer said the same thing. He never apologizes and he will go back on his verbal word. For example, when I met with him, he said that he would print both sets of uniforms if the team was really unhappy with them. When I spoke with him next, he said just the one set. There were many other examples but too many to note down now. I started communicating only by email so I would have everything in writing. I would write up to 3 or 4 times sometimes before getting a response from him. Very unprofessional. There's more but no space. I would give 0/negative stars if I could. read more

I began my search a few months ago looking for a company to make my custom shirts, about 100 shirts and once a year. I called almost every shop conveniently located within 20 miles of Aiea. All in all I ended up choosing Bad Boy Hawaii, a company that has exceeded my expectations. The owner Jay was my main point of contact, from the first answer on the phone he has assisted me every step of the way. Knowing how busy I was he guided me through phone calls and emails. He allowed me to email him my graphics and he laid it out on a template to see if what he was thinking was what I envisioned. I read the previous reviews and I was a little skeptic but the quote was the best quote I received so I had to give it a try. From our first conversation it was hard for me to believe that this helpful guy was berated in another review. I decided I would throw a little test and tell him what I was looking for and leave it up to him to follow through. He challenged my doubts and proved me wrong. I told Jay I wanted to email him and usually people provide me with their email but Jay took it a step further and took my email and gave me his in return. Before I could even compose the email and attach my graphic he had already emailed me an introductory letter. From that point on we conducted everything through emails and he had no problem calling me to clarify any blurry parts. I decided to provide my own shirts as I can get them at a discount. After I was satisfied with the final artwork and we were ready to proceed to printing I told Jay I was going to order the shirts and deliver them in 1 week. Let's just say I got busy and I forgot. I ordered the shirts I just forgot to pick them up and no one from the shirt company called me to remind me my order was ready. On the day I was supposed to deliver Jay was kind enough to call me in the morning to ask me what time I expected to come by, it was at that moment I remembered I had to pick up the shirts. I picked up the shirts after work and Jay was nice enough to wait for me to show up even though it was after normal business hours. I made sure he knew I was in no rush to receive the shirts and in return he said, "ok, next week it will be ready." I was amazed and I repeated myself and said no rush, but he said 1 week is not a rush and if they finish any earlier he will give me a call. So in 5 days, not business days, 5 days, he called me to let me know my order was ready. I went to pick up my shirts and they were just what I envisioned, paid my bill told everyone thank you and was on my way.
