I contacted the store this week because I needed a last minute order for a business. The representative quickly contacted the manager, who immediately followed up with me directly. I have no major complaints about this restaurant they are nice and fulfilling especially if your looking for something that isn't pricey. This is a great go-to spot. I made my order it arrived later than normal and through the process my delivery time changed which I didn't like. On to the food. My first order was a large pepperoni pizza that got here, kinda burnt but ok at least the order was correct It was still eaten. My second order was a Buffalo Finger Pizza -also large. I ordered a wing dings dinner and even though I was STARVING when I received the order, I could barely eat it because of how bad the food was!!! The fries were SO SOGGY & UNDERCOOKED. Absolutely no salt too. I picked up the fry and it just looked so sad. As for the wings, they were FATTY and tasted OLD. I also got a small salad with the order and the cucumbers had an extremely ODD taste. Safe to say, I will NEVER be ordering from Backwoods again and I advise you do the same. I only gave a star because I had to and they don't even deserve that! This was my first experience ordering from here and I'll never go back! My large cheese pizza was burnt to the point that I thought it had BBQ sauce on it! My bf and I each tried a slice to see if it was that bad. IT WAS! When I asked for another pizza I was told that I picked it up late so they couldn't do anything about it. Which makes absolutely NO SENSE. That just confirmed that they did indeed burn my pizza. NEVER AGAIN. Horrible customer service! Update because I couldn't respond to the owner: According to my receipts I did NOT arrive two hours later. I arrived within an hour of placing my order at 6:16pm. My receipt said the pizza would be ready between 6:40-6:50pm. I picked up the pizza shortly after. I spoke to Grubhub before 8:00p. Where exactly did two hours pass in between that? There's a huge difference in a pizza being a bit cold after waiting about 10 minutes to be picked up (which good customer service means the people working would've kept it warm) versus a pizza being completely burnt. Last night the owner told the Grubhub rep that the pizza wouldn't be replaced because I showed up late. Even the rep said that doesn't make any sense as to why the pizza was burnt. read more

Service was great, and food was affordable. I got a free soda for ordering 2 slices. So I let my friend have the slices and the drink, I got a third slice for myself, a drink for myself and a wrap, all for 20 bucks. Not to mention everything was cooked well, and the wait was short enough for me not to complain but long enough to be sure they weren't cheating out on the quality of food. I was fully satisfied. I ordered a backed ziti with marinera sauce, breaded chicken and cheese. They sent backed ziti with grilled chicken broccoli and alfredo sauce. I can't stand the taste of Alfredo Sauce. Instead of offering to come and pick up the order and send my correct one that was in clearly online and confirmed on the phone, they said they would attach a credit to my account. I have been looking for a really solid pizza place since I moved to Uphams Corners. I was told by a co-worker that Backwoods is really the spot. I walk by with my dog all the time, from the window it definitely looks clean and appears to be pretty busy. I ordered an eggplant pizza; the eggplant was good, fried, drained and skin cut off. This is the only pizza place we order from, mainly because it's close and it's not Domino's. They have really cheap pizzas and you can get nuts with the toppings, and it's super cheap. The menu that I had on file for them looked pretty pizza/sub take out so I had more or less ignored it because we have our address on file with a few other area delivery spots. But I went on a limb and gave them a call and ordered a pretty straight up pizza and order of wings. It did take them a while to find us, an hour that is. The food was pretty ok, can't complain - the pizza was crusty but not tough and not very greasy - toppings were plentiful. The wings were pretty good, but could have been the kind you get at the grocery in the freezer. A friend of mine mention backwoods before. Today I placed an order for pick up I ordered two subs. I sent my boyfriend it to get the food and he only comes back with one sub. He then explains the women in there were very rude and didn't want to allow him to pick up the food. He then explained how the lady said that she canceled the other sub. So then ok no worries we can just order yours and it'll be ready since they cook their food pretty fast. He said ok I'll go back in but first check your food. I opened the sub and there was an unmistakably long black curly strand of hair. I was really grossed out. I went back in and the lady in the back made it seems like she was going to refund me for the sub I found hair in. She played the word game. She expressed how she'd fix it right away and not to worry about it and she's make the other sub as well. Because the subs were different prices I reminded the lady to refund me for the first sub they messed up on and then I'll pay for the second sub. Or at least that's what the other girl very much said. Long story short she was just trying to get a sale by scamming and her customer service was ... she didn't have any. This place is just awful and unclean and is probably next to fail inspection. Never again! read more
