Overall we liked this place. I was excited for the fried tomato Benedict but didn't care for the tomato-heavily breaded in something very odd. The kale was a little salty. Potatoes were good. My son got the French toast which we didn't expect to be fried but ended up being delicious. Not pictured another diner got the pancakes, eggs and sausage. Huge portion. Like moths to flame, people flock to this restaurant now that it has a second location. Every single time I have been here, it's been blech. So bad in fact that the owner had to call me to ban me from his downtown location. However, as The Bard wrote, "...the truth will out." Upon entering I was greeted by Shellene, the only hostess I've ever met with a bad attitude projecting negative energy in tidal waves. Talk about your auspicious beginnings! After being shown a table and handed a menu, I started looking for something I thought would be palatable this time. Before too long, a delightful young lady by the moniker of Leah approached my table like a breath of fresh air. She has the server gig down cold and is nothing less than a professional. Kudos, Leah! I asked Leah for some Shrimp & Grits, The Boss Hog and an order of the Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes. Still trying to shake the poisonous vibe sent my way from Shellene, I took a few pictures of the joint and awaited Leah's return. Within the acceptable time, Leah did indeed return with my fare. Snapping the obligatory pictures (LOOK AT THEM), I proceeded to get my Big Boy on. The first dish to cross my discerning palate today was the order of Shrimp & Grits. At least that is what I ordered. I'm pretty sure I got Shrimp & Grits soup. Seriously, look at the picture. That is a bowl of soup no matter how you ladle it. Next up was the Boss Hog. It consists of provolone stuffed rope sausage atop balsamic onions and cheese grits. Topped with bacon and green onions with a sunny-side-up chicken embryo, it sure reads great on the menu. However, you don't come to a restaurant to read about food, you come to eat food and this was practically inedible. How does sausage come out soggy? Easy. It's not cooked properly. Sausage is not to be prepared any other way than well done with an internal temperature between 160-165 degrees Fahrenheit (depending on the meat). Not only was this undercooked, but the taste was off as well. It smelled OK, so I don't think it was rancid, but it certainly was not fresh. Thankfully, I was about to sample the last dish, my order of Lemon Poppy Seen Pancakes. While the pancakes looked delicious, I found them to be drier than the Sahara desert. If the sausage was undercooked, the incompetent buffoon running the grill made up for it by overcooking the pancakes. Seriously, it's not that difficult to make an edible pancake. When it starts to bubble and the edges turn slightly brown, you flip it over... The only word I can use to describe the owner of these two establishments is fraudulent. This dunderhead has a chalkboard (see the picture) that leads one to believe that he sources his own ingredients; however, that is illegal in the state of Florida and everything he gets is from our friends at Sysco. I detest this kind of chicanery! The Big Boy says, "Stop going to this pitiful circus. It's officially a SWILL ALERT. Oh, and to the ignoramus that owns this joint, no need to ban me. You would have to dig me up and drag my cold hard corpse inside to get me to set one foot in anything you run." read more

The griddle table was a great experience for the kids. They enjoyed making rainbow pancakes. They say it feeds 3-4 but I think we could have fed our family of 6 if we added a few sides. Ok, let's get to the food. If you aren't cooking pancakes, just get a regular table. Not a griddle table. We opted to make pancakes for our first trip. My wife got the lemon poppyseed batter, I chose buttermilk. The menu says that each bottle will make 3 large pancakes. That's a lie. Each bottle makes about 7 large pancakes. I'm sure their idea of large is 3x the size of my idea. The waitress actually told us their pancakes are as big as the plate, so that's why they say "3 Large". Trust me, 1 bottle is enough for 2 people. I got blueberries as an add in, with sausage on the side. My wife got grits, eggs, and bacon on the side. The grits are already cheesed. If you order cheese grits, they add more cheese. There was a wait at 11:45 on a Friday. It was only 5 minutes. We were seated fast. At 12:30 there was no wait and plenty of tables. Service was great. My only complaint was that the water they served was lukewarm, and no ice. In a kids cup. They were staffed up, and all employees were masked (if that matters to you). Food came fast. A great place to cook at your table! This is a second location for this restaurant. The original one is in downtown Melbourne. They recently opened this one along Wickham road just to the south of the Pineda intersection. This location has plenty of parking right in front of the location. You enter and are greeted at the hostess stand. They ask where you would like to sit. You have your choice of the counter, a table with a griddle, or a regular table. The tables against the outside of the west, south, and east of the restaurant have a griddle in the middle of it. The tables in the middle seem to be regular tables without the griddle. We asked for and were taken to, a griddle table. We were seated quickly and given our menus. You can order off the menu or fill out the griddle ticket and cook your own pancakes. They brought the batter in squeeze bottles and we were off and cooking right away. The cook at your table experience is wonderful and gives you the freedom to cook and eat at your own pace. The server was quick, efficient, and friendly. The cost for 2 with drinks was about $25. We arrived early but if you arrive later than about 0830, you may be waiting for a griddle table. Overall, a very nice experience that I would highly recommend to any hungry fellow travelers in the area. read more

Came here on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. We did the rainbow pancakes with a few different toppings with eggs and bacon on the side and I also ordered an omelet. Everything was tasty and the staff were friendly and attentive. I feel like pancakes are sometimes flavorless, but these were delicious. Whatever they put in the batter made them quite flavorful and it was a lot of fun making pancakes together as a family. I would like to try a different flavor next time (the lemon poppyseed sounds amazing). Our server recommended toasting the coconut before pouring on the batter and using the syrup to brule the bananas on the griddle. That was a game changer, for sure.
