Found this place on Yelp and decided to check them out. When we arrived they were not very busy. You seat yourself at one of the tables or counter bar. We chose a table next to the window although the curtains were closed. The interior is a little dated and dim without the curtains open but it was cozy. Our drink orders were taken as soon as we sat down and the menus were provided. They offer basic breakfast food - eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, biscuits etc. Prices were extremely reasonable. My son ordered one of their larger breakfasts that came with pancakes, biscuits and gravy, 2 eggs, home fries and a meat of his choice. It was a lot of food although the pancakes were the size of the biscuits which was odd but he enjoyed it. I tasted his home fries and they were very good! The biscuits and gravy were good too! I ordered the NY Strip and eggs and opted for grits for my side. It was all good! Steak was a little tough but had a good flavor. The grits were perfect! Our waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. Food came out in an acceptable time. They do offer daily specials so be sure to ask. They also have a brunch/lunch menu as well. What a nice little gem. Cute little diner type restaurant with about 10 to 12 tables. Super clean. Service was outstanding they thought about what me might need before we did. Can tell they have regulars that they call by name. Super friendly. Food was fresh and hot. Husband had the 3 meat omlet and he loved it! Said it was "loaded". By that, I mean that I like getting a seat and I don't want to fight you for my table! So, what's there to like? Well, the prices are reasonable, the food portions are generous, the staff hustles, and the whole place is spotless. I've had something different each time I've come in and it's all been pretty darn good. Breakfast? Delicious. Lunch? Tasty. Grab that deluxe breakfast if you want to skip lunch. There around noon? The food is exactly what you're expecting and what you want it to be: diner specials and a lot of beige. But what makes this location exceptional are the staff. They were friendly and everyone that came in was greeted as a regular whether they knew them or not. I cannot recommend stopping here enough--if you happen to be passing through, make sure you give it a try. After a nice morning walk my husband and I decided to have breakfast at Muddie's and what a great choice. Staff were super friendly and attentive, food arrived quickly and hot. The corned beef in the omelet was delicious and not to salty. My husband had the country omelet, the gravy was excellent and tasted just like scratch and the grilled biscuit was amazing (and I don't love biscuits!) location is simple yet comfortable and bathroom clean. Carrie is a great and precious server. She introduced me to their breakfast bowl and I have been hooked on it ever since. The bacon Swiss cheese burger was delicious and so was the patty melt. Then the fish and shrimp were delicious. The sweet tea is amazing. The restrooms are very clean. The atmosphere is always friendly, festive and welcoming. I also love the bathroom, it's so adorable and fun and just the decorations feel so 90s grandma and fun haha I love that the owner is usually there in a little corner doing the bills and she's very nice. Edit: I read through some of the reviews and a lot of people complained about the lovely staff. Honestly, these ladies work hard and have lives, I have gotten to know them and I enjoy them a bunch. If you are polite and kind they always respond in kind. If I bring a sh**head friend in, they kinda deserve it. We should be treating people right and why does a waitress deserve you're bad mood? I'm glad they are real people and don't feel the need to put up with anyone's crap and the owner supports them in not dealing with bad customers. Ok so this one is tough.... We went for breakfast today and we were the only customers. That can be good and bad. Rob ordered the country fried steak with potatoes and a grilled biscuit. I ventured out and ordered the chili cheese omelet which I have had before and enjoyed. The food came out pretty quickly which was a good. The potatoes on both dishes seemed under cooked and lacking flavor. Rob enjoyed his meal because it was hot and he was HUNGRY. Lol. Mine was cold. I mean cold. The chili almost seemed to be poured from a can. As stated earlier, the potatoes needed help also. The big positive was Debbie. She was kind, friendly, and offered some good suggestions. I was in there on Sunday and a senior wanted to move a chair over so a handicapped fifth person could join them. I older women, I assume she was the owner, stopped her and told her very abruptly "don't move the chair". No reason was given, just a DON'T in a very rude tone. They also have different specials, the blueberry French toast is so good! There sausage patty's are my favorite and they always fry my eggs just like I like them! This is a hidden gem that we found one day while my wife and I were out and about Exploring around FLORIDA not fare from where we live. Well my wife fond it looking for 5 star places and Muddie's piped up. And I love supporting locals so, I was in. Went to Muddie's had an awesome breakfast experience. My wife had the cheeseburger omelette and I had the biscuits and gravy with two scrambled eggs light. WoW we were both blown away. 5 star for sure.
