Go-to orders include the Chicken Fried Chicken, omelets, and breakfast bowl. They also make a mean Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Their coffee is decent enough & better than some, with flavored & sugar-free creamer pods on the table. The pancakes are huge and tasty too. The service has always been top-notch. I went with a friend on a Sunday Morning at 11: am. It kinda a diner setting. The place was packed. I looked forward to great food. We had a 25 minute wait. Our server was Chyian I ordered the Haddock tray with fries. 25.00 My friend ordered the steak and eggs 25.00 . I also ordered hot tea The server brought me a cup of water and no teabag. After I asked she brought a tea bag and I discovered the cup of water was cold. After a while I got her to bring me a cup of hot water. My fish was grease soaked Fries were pale and lukewarm, The second batch of fries were delicious and crispy. My friend got grits which tasted watery and were lumpy. Dang that is one tasty burger AGAIN! (CONSISTENCY EQUALS GREATNESS). I was torn between an Omelet or a Burger. There are so many options that you can choose to customize an Omelet here. Next time I will. But I decided to GO WITH THE BEEF! I ordered the Mushroom Provolone Burger with Fries, medium rare ($10.50). I had everything on it. Onion, lettuce tomato. The bun fell apart this time and it was MESSY GOODNESS. Oh well, that is what napkins are for. Next time I will ask for an extra toasty bun, or maybe UPGRADE TO A ROLL. It came with a crunchy dill pickle. Instead of fries, I substituted tomato slices for my Keto diet at no extra charge. Service was courteous and efficient. We came out for lunch today and our server was Julie. We ordered a basket of fries, a salad and a breakfast sandwich. It took almost 50 minutes to get our food. I'm not even mad about the wait because I do understand these things happen sometimes. But after almost 30 minutes, Julie finally came to the table and said "Oh, it doesn't normally take this long," but never actually apologized. We had to ask for her to bring out the basket fries, which should've just been something she offered to do anyway considering how long we'd be waiting. After well over 45 minute, our food was finally brought out but again, not once was our wait acknowledged nor did she apologize. I had to flag down another server to ask for a manager, which I was surprised to find out was, and you guessed it, Julie! Even after this and asking to speak to a manager, she never apologized. I would never expect a discount or a free bill, but to not even get an apology is a bit ridiculous. I did make sure to leave the kitchen a tip to show them some appreciation for their hard work. But I really hope you reevaluate your team and who you choose to have represent your business, especially a manager at that. My eleven year old brother has better communication skills than Julie, and he's autistic. Maybe a refresher on customer service could do everyone some justice. read more

The blue cheese was delicious and not in short supply. The sweet tea was good too! The size of the bacon on the fries was plentiful. Overall, I am impressed. Decided to try something different today for breakfast. Not in the mood for eggs. I had the fried haddock sandwich with their homemade chips which was huge. Had to take half home. Husband got Franks buffalo chicken sandwich with fried okra. Both were excellent and huge as is all their food. Didn't know what we were missing all these years after driving past so many times. Comfort food--from the Salt of the Earth The menu is filled with many "comfort foods", but the dishes we tried were all too salty. The homemade chips are crisp but salty. The Chicken Sandwich was nicely breaded--but again--too salty. The Fried Green Tomatoes (again breaded and fried), were salty. The Onion Rings (breaded and fried) were salty. Service was good, so I added a star. Ambiance: Typical Diner setting but with large LCD TVs that show their foods. Overall: The prices are reasonable (less than $12 per Entree), but I hope they reduce the salt in the Fryers and refrain from smothering everything in salt. As a customer, I can always add more salt-but I can't take it away. read more

Very good family restaurant, staff is friendly and the American menu is good for lunch. I have eaten breakfast here a couple of years ago and I think that's their best meal. We had hamburgers, grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch and they were good. They were large and fresh made, the homemade chips were good and crispy. We had onion rings as an appetizer and although they were a frozen product, they were good. These were hot but not greasy. The staff was friendly and attentive and they made a big difference. We will be back when we are in Cocoa again. read more

Easy like Sunday morning...Mitchell's has to be Cocoa's hidden Gem because this place is a treasure. Before me and my cousin walked in we were greated by a gentleman who was outside taking a smoke and he offered us a joke. What a way to start our visit! The ladies told us to seat ourselves and a second later we were told that Jamie(spelling?) would be our server. With a smile on her face, Jamie brought our menus and took our drink orders. You will need a few minutes to glance over the menu. I could not make my mind up. Omelets, eggs Benedict, steak, corn beef and hash, creeps, you name it they have it! Jamie came over and i asked "can I have one of everything?" She said " you sure can. Your gonna want the EJacks breakfast feast." Boy were my eyes bigger than my stomach! If you have been to Dennys it would be the same as the lumberjack slam but soooo much better. The eggs here are fresh. Melt right in your mouth. My cousin ordered the same and was able to switch out her ham for extra bacon. They serve mimosas on Sundays as well. Come early!! This place gets busy and I see why. Jamie keep the coffee in my cup hot and my cousins lemonade refilled. The atmosphere was nice. Restaurant was very clean. Mitchell's, it's 10:13pm as I right this and I'm still full! This place is great! I've been here twice now for the amazing burgers. Brown gravy on fries! Beer! Fried food! Also a great kid menu. My kids ate all their food! Prices are perfectly reasonable. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because the service is not great. Both times I've been here I sat myself (not an issue) but the servers seem upset that I needed a menu. Um ok? The servers are not very friendly. I get that they're super busy but it feels like your presence is an inconvenience. The first time I thought it was a fluke but seems to be the norm. Not rude... but not friendly. Food is great though! I'll still continue going! read more
