This place is great! I've been here twice now for the amazing burgers. Brown gravy on fries! Beer! Fried food! Also a great kid menu. My kids ate all their food! Prices are perfectly reasonable. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because the service is not great. Both times I've been here I sat myself (not an issue) but the servers seem upset that I needed a menu. Um ok? The servers are not very friendly. I get that they're super busy but it feels like your presence is an inconvenience. The first time I thought it was a fluke but seems to be the norm. Consistency is key for this Diner. My favorites are the Chicken Fried Chicken; breakfast, lunch (chicken club) and dinner versions, the Garbage Can omelet and their burgers are delicious! They have the same stable long term kitchen personnel with a few newbies rolling through, which accounts for the consistency. read more

The wife and I, along with our daughter, dropped in this morning for breakfast. After the wife and I stopped in last week for dinner, and after seeing the breakfast menu, my wife decided that today, for her birthday, we would have breakfast here - she was not disappointed. Everyone had their waffles, the two women had the Peanut Butter Bacon and fruit topped offering, while I had the one with chocolate sauce, peanut butter sauce, and bananas (aptly named after one of the waitresses called, Erica's Waffles.) A four-piece helping of waffles, not overly coated with the sauces and piled just right with the fruit - it was simply delicious. We all ordered eggs and hash browns and toast ala carte and it was all made to order, showed up at the table hot, and our drinks were kept bottom-less the entire time. In an area full of great diners, this might be my favorite. It is too hard to find a good skillet in this world, and let me tell you the southern skillet here is the best i've ever had. I caught it and had to fight to get refund. Second meal. Again, don't offer a side (fries green tomatoes) then CHARGE EXTRA for it without first notifying the customer. This is a great all around local restaurant. Whether you want breakfast, lunch or dinner items, they have it all. We have tried many different menu items and have never had a bad meal. The service is always good, yet this visit the server took a long time to come back to our table. Not a big deal. The only thing I suggest when ordering is to skip the option for loaded French Fries. By adding the VERY tiny amount of unmelted shredded cheese and 3-4 tiny pieces of bacon to your French fries, you get charged an extra $2.25. It is the most ridiculous loaded fries I have ever seen and the money should be spent more wisely, even if it is given to the man standing with a sign at the red light down the street. Stopped by here as we passed it on us1 today for lunch. They were still serving breakfast so some of our party had that but I had the humpty dumpty burger and I'm glad I did. I ordered it medium with an over easy egg and it was cooked just like i wanted which is pretty hard for most places to do. The bacon was just perfect too and the whole thing really tasted amazing. The fries were really good too. Everyone else's food all looked good too so I'd love to try some other stuff here sometime too. read more

Ate here the other morning. I didn't care for it. I ordered the country fried steak, seasoned potatoes and scrambled eggs. I could tell nothing is homemade. Everything isprepackaged . We had breakfast at Michell's Family Diner. They are know for their southern breakfasts. I had the chicken fried chicken with grits, biscuit and eggs. It was more than I could eat. Everything was hot and tasted great. It reminded me of the chicken I had as a kid at my grandmother's house. I highly recommend Mitchell's but make sure you go when you are hungry. read more

On our way to cocoa beach this restaurant stood out amongst the rest on yelp. Glad we stopped. My eggs were cooked perfectly, pancakes were fluffy and my husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and it looked just like the photo in the menu. I was there to review and witness Mitchell's third year Anniversary. It was quite exciting. I enjoyed being involved. Mitchell's is a family Diner, both Erica and her husband worked there. The prices are very descent, the food is delicious and are Erica Mitchell's own recipe. They are mouth watering and delicious! And I have tried several different meals! It is impossible to pick a favorite! The portions are even quite large! You will walk away full! The waitresses are happy and willing to offer suggestions and even allow you a taste test!
