Restaurants like this are a big contributing factor as to why America has so many diet related health problems. Being someone who has dietary restrictions, I am very cognizant that home style restaurants do not cater to people who have dairy and egg allergies. To be considerate of the other members of my party who wanted breakfast food, I figured ordering potatoes would be the lesser of the evils for me. They informed me that they could not make any type of potato with just oil, it would contain eggs and /or butter as well. They offered me applesauce as the only safe thing on the menu. read more

Not a good experience. Husband had fish in a basket with little fish in the basket ff were cold cole slaw was so wet it took awhile to get the juice out of it. For myself I had blackened grilled haddock with little black and so uncooked there was a ton of juice on plate shoe string ff that were cold and the wet wet cold slaw! Had to send back to get cooked more and more seasoning. Waited quite awhile before anyone asked how it was since they completely messed up both orders . What a mess . Manager did some explaining that made no sense at all. Something about grilled fish leaves a lot of water on plate! Sure especially when it's not cooked properly. Breakfast stop this morning. Large portions. The toast has a weird orangish butter. Too much in some spots and completely dry in others. Our waitress gave me a coffee in a mug that said love on it. Obviously smitten with my rugged good looks. We shared a pancake. It was fluffy and good. Service was good, price above average. They serve beer so for this reason alone they get 4 stars. Not only did it take Jessica extremely long to complete tasks, but she never brought some of the food we asked for multiple times. The diner looks the way you want it to. Worn down and comfortable with a bit of grime to it. What it didn't have was nearly enough staff working. I waited over 15 minutes before they took my my drink order. Another 10 went by before that drink made it to my table. Stopped here for lunch today and had the most incredibly delicious fried haddock. Can't say enough about how good it was. Moved down here 4 months ago and always searching for good seafood. You would think it would be everywhere, but that is NOT the case. All of the high priced tourist traps for seafood have nothing on the quality of the product at this place. Why would you go anywhere else for breakfast? My husband and I frequently dine out and love local diners and pubs. Mitchell's does NOT disappoint. Our waitress, Tory (sp?) was awesome. My husband loves Chicken Fried Chicken with gravy and biscuits and this is the best in Brevard! We enjoyed home fries, seasoned and nicely done. My hash browns were crispy just as I requested. I had a poached egg and it was beautifully done. We shared some pancakes and they were delicious. We have decided there really is no place better for a grand breakfast. The food was very good. However, it took at least 45 minutes to get our food. I always love it when they use made to order as an excuse. Fried chicken breast generally takes 19 minutes. And the servers don't work as a team. We won't be going back anytime soon. read more

AWFUL service. Should actually say NO SERVICE!!! This is the first time I have ever walked out of a diner, ever! We sat and waited 27 minutes with no service. Had to ask for the waitress from a cook. Everyone around us was being served slowly but the people at the very next table who were there at same time as us got drinks and food before we had anything. Worst experience. When waitress finally showed up with some coaxing she was rude and gave fake apologies. When we asked what happened she blamed the computer system for not helping us then gave us a new waitress who was equally rude. Left without anything. read more

Been here several times now and haven't been disappointed yet. Breakfast is really good, this has become my husbands new favorite breakfast place. Portions are good size and prices are reasonable. Lunch and dinner menus give a good selection without being overwhelming. Today i had the eggs Benedict special which was very good. Hollandaise wasn't as rich and flavorful as some but it was still enjoyable. Eggs were done soft exactly how I ordered. Husband had his favorite blueberry pancakes which were light and fluffy. Delicious. Waitress seemed a bit frustrated and was short with us. I was afraid to ask her for anything because she gave off the vibe she was going to go off at any moment. Food is good but the service and attitude of the short blonde that works there is horrible. I was waiting for my take out order and she was even rude to customers walking in the door. This is the 2nd time going there. The first time we ate in and the second time we ordered a single order of fries and 2 coleslaw sides which i was charged a total of $8 for. I guess she double charged me for the fries as the coleslaw sides are $1 each. What ever.... We will never be going back and will tell everyone we know that the attitude of that specific person is a business killer. As i said, the food is good but its not worth putting up with the attitude to justify going back. 1 star .. Not very good. I walked in for dinner and there was nobody in the place except for the employees and there were a lot of them, most of them looked like they were about 14 years old. I sat at the bar and ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich that came out and the chicken just tasted cheap, for lack of a better word. It was just really thin and gristly. I had lunch yesterday and food was so so. The waitress charged me $21.89 first and tried voiding out the transaction and then charged me the correct amount of $10.89. The server did not inform me of what she had done. The next day my bank was charged both amounts. The next day I returned and spoke to the owner and the server and the server told me "Hoooone you won't be charged". The management or the staff does not know not to void but run a credit and inform the customer of what happened. DO NO USE A DEBIT OR ANY PLASTIC THERE, if you must dine at the place, use pennies.
