Picked up a Classic Burger, Seasoned Fries, and a Root Beer for $8.99. The burger was juicy and had a nice smokey char. All the fixings on the burger (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mayo, mustard) were fresh and provided a nice crunchy bite. Their Seasoned Fries were crisp and not greasy. Stopped in for the double classic, as I went to the restroom I noticed the dirtiest urinal I've ever seen in a fast food restaurant. it's like nobody has even tried to clean this thing in a few years. This location is now the only location we have! I'm sad because it's further away and kind of out of sight, out of mind for me but it's still one of my favorite fast food places. This location also has a play area, for anyone interested in bringing the youngins. The most recent time I got food from here it wasn't good. The chicken was dry and the food was tasteless. I will definitely be giving them one more chance before I stop coming here but I really hope it's not how their food will come out all the time now. BYB is the local team that you want to cheer for but you keep getting let down so often eventually you give up and pull for the rivals. Fresh grilles burgers take time, but food is 'up' and no one is there to bag or serve. Other times the counter person is off doing other things and customers just stand and wait to have their order taken. At least the ingredients are higher quality. read more

Backyard Burger (BYB) is usually always at the top of my list for best burgers around because they use fresh ground beef and bread that actually has some taste plus they always tend to put ample veggies that have some color and taste. Of course this is in contrast to the McSwill and the frozen pink slime and the 1/2 of a pickle slice and thumb size piece of green wilted lettuce atop the "fresh" Wendy's party or of course the conveyer built "grilled" thin patty that gets nuked with the upcharged cheese food square at Burger King. I seriously had no intention in getting on my burger joint soapbox, I really didn't but what the heck, I'm not swooned by the high priced hipster wannabe places like 5 Guys or it 3 Guys whatever guys or the Sear Sack "gourmet" thang but I am more convinced with the fresh fat patty that sticks out all around the buns at Freddy's. WOW, maybe this is where I should digress :-) Returning to the place at hand, BYB is a favorite because they actually do prepare fresh hamburger to order and I can even get them blackened and dressed up with flblue cheese and l pineapple or cole slaw while getting actual reasonably thick slices of onion and big crispy lettuce leaves between a golden gun. It is far above most of the other fast food burgers and there's more. You have choices at BYB of waffles or spices fries, grilled or blackened chicken and oh din't forget COBBLER WITH OR WITHOUT ICE CREAM. Yes I will admit that I have hot the drive thru for BlackBerry cobbler with vanilla ice cream on my way home after having dinner somewhere else. Last year Collierville lost it's Poplar Ave BYB with only this one remaining newer location on Houston-Levee and now we have a Houston-Levee problem. Why? Well before the recent demise of the my BYB I had no reason to visit this one and I am saddened to report that the overall BYB experience at this location has left me no choice but to take a much longer drive to another city and a better BYB. I'm not alone with my observations, as I have noticed by my fellow Yelpers, that the quality of everything here is way below what I've become accustomed to and quite frankly is unacceptable no matter who. what it where. First of all I spent way too long in the drive-thru only to get that was all wrong with cold fries. When I had to go in and defend myself that I had ordered a bacon cheeseburger but rather a Hawaiian burger and by the time that burger was fixed absolutely everything else in my order was stone col. Now comes the absolute worst part, when I asked if it not be better yoti start order from scratch with the correct order, well after I got a crazy look and a young lady who disappeared out of my sight without a word. Seriously! I decided immediately that it was in EVERYONE'S best interest that I make like Elvis and exit the building. By the time I got back to my car I was breathing again and not fire, and I was actually chuckling because the whole thing was so incredibly rediculous. I'm not going to get into anything further about this particular BYB because others are reporting the same unfortunate things that I've observed and experienced. Back Yard Burger is a southern regional chain based out of Nashville, TN. They are noteworthy for their Angus burgers and grilled sandwiches. I decided to stop here for lunch since it has been a while since I have made a visit. This location was spot on and served my favorite Wild Turkey burger with waffle fries. This vhain is twice the price of a Chick Fila, but I eat here when I have a taste for thid kind of sandwich. The quality was there for sure and I like this location being close to everything. I recommend this location if you are visiting from out of town and want a change up from the other national chains! Please check this place out if you are in the TN/MS area. read more

This Backyard Burgers is fine. And we will go there 1-3 times a month. What I like: The burgers and their options. They have a turkey, chicken, and wraps. The options for sides. Very good sweet potato fries, salad, and cole slaw along with 2 types of french fries, and other options. They also have the most nights for Kids Eat Free. I believe it is Sunday - Thursday nights, as of this writing. What my kids like: Treehouse play area is one of their favorite places to go, and it isn't overly crowded. They like the rice crispies treat that come with the meal. The hot dog kids meal. Biggest negatives: I feel like there is a discrepancy between the price of their burgers and the quality. They are definitely good fast food hamburgers though, but they are also overcooked everytime we go there. It also takes quite a bit longer to get your food, like in nicer restaurants, so don't expect fast food. But again, I don't think their burgers are that outstanding--just pretty good. Also, I've never said, "Hey, this is the cleanest and friendliest place I've ever eaten at", and I doubt I ever will. Better drink machines and more drink options would be great. read more

I placed an order in the drive through and advised the girl at the window that my fries didn't have the garlic parm. seasoning that I ordered. The girl took the bag put her hand in the bag without gloves and took the fries out and then reached back into the bag and picked up the fries that had fallen in the bottom of the bag with her bare hands. She attempted give the bag back and I told her that I needed a new order of fries. She gave me a new bag of fries but after I left the drive through I was soo disgusted that I threw all the food away. I will NEVER go back! With the flu and corona virus out I would like that restaurants would practice better habits but I guess not. read more

Back Yard Burgers is usually good, but this place is great! I'm lucky to have this location close to my office. The customer service is so friendly, it rivals some of the local favorite BBQ restaurants. This location is also accommodating to their customers. I really liked a particular salad dressing that was not a standard offering and asked the manager about it. Within a week, the manager stocked my favorite dressing. That's never happened to me before and they earned a very loyal customer. The food at your typical BYB is usually good, but I've always had the best at this location. If you are not in mood for a burger, the salads are excellent. I used to love the $15 salads at Newk's until I discovered BYB's $6.99 Chopped Salad with Blackened Chicken. Pairing it with a large Diet Dr. Pepper is a treat. read more
