Absolutely stunning restaurant! Walking in, I'm immediately greeted by warm lighting and combination of brick and fabric. Of the many visits here, the host is always friendly and attentive to my requests (for seating or for take out). The Margherita Pizza is hands down my all-time favorite Margherita Pizza around the twin cities! It is a magical creation -- excellent yeasty crust cooked perfectly, well-balanced and not-too-acidic tomato sauce, plus classic toppings of mozzarella and basil. I frequently order this for take-out and it doesn't even make it home! Their mushroom flatbread is also excellent and is similar to the pizza in that the crust is well balanced with the toppings. Also, I love the short rib pappardelle. Deep, rich, beefy flavor and tender meat with homemade pasta. Very rich and worth all the calories! Highly recommend Bacio! The bar is extensive and can get quite loud when the restaurant is busy. Main dining area more quiet but still energetic. The pastas here are my favorite with the exception of the Cacio Pepe. That one was tasteless and something to skip. I've had some hits and misses when ordering fish entrees. Crab cakes are small but tasty. Parmesan shrimp consistently a pleaser. Lightly fried, not overly cooked and served with two great sauces to choose from. Happy hour specials used to be amazing. Quality still there but the portions have shrunk meaningfully so not as great of a deal for food. Service today was exceptional but not always the case. I reviewed Bacio about a year ago and I have an update to share. Everyday happy hour from 3-6 is amazing. My partner and I happened to have an awkward afternoon where we missed lunch and were too hungry to wait until dinner to eat. We stopped at Bacio and learned this is an amazing place to have an apps for dinner early meal. They have wonderful apps for cheaper than their normal dinner menu. Highly recommend the Parmesan crusted shrimp and ahi tuna crisps- oh and that chicken satay! We ended up splitting those three and a pizza for 50 dollars! Excellent service, quality food! read more

We came here for lunch on Saturday and got seated right away at around noon without a reservation. The Spicy Breakfast Risotto with poached eggs off their brunch menu was tasty. And I liked my latte. My husband liked his Bacio breakfast wrap and said it was one of the best breakfast items he's had in a while. The service was quick and attentive and they have a brunch and lunch menu in the weekends so there's lots of choices. This is a great lunch place with a great menu selection. I went to Bacio on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday, so it was understandably busy, but totally worth it. I had requested in my reservation to be seated under the skylight in a booth, and they were super accommodating with that, which I really appreciated. Our waitress, Courtney, was absolutely amazing. She was knowledgeable, kind, and just had a really calm, easygoing vibe that made the whole experience so much better. Even though the restaurant was packed, she was incredibly attentive and on top of everything. She had great recommendations! Now, the food--wow. I had the chicken piccata, and not only did it taste fantastic, but the portion size was really generous (which is always a plus in my book, lol). My boyfriend ordered the lamb linguine and loved it just as much. We started with the calamari, and it was perfectly crispy and flavorful, the garlic aioli dip was so so good. For dessert, we tried the beignets with mocha sauce and the budino chocolate lava cake with vanilla gelato. Both were absolutely delicious, and everything came out so quickly despite the busy atmosphere. The budino is gluten-free which honestly blew my mind because it tasted so rich and decadent, like exactly what you'd hope for in a choclate lava cake. You'd never know it was gluten-free if no one told you. Total win. Everyone working there seemed so in sync and on their A-game. It's no surprise this place is as popular as it is. Wow was it busy! Despite it, everything and everyone was so organized. The staff worked so seamlessly to ensure 100% satisfaction. I was very impressed. Luckily we had reservations, so we were seated immediately. We also did not wait long at all to receive our food. I was pleasantly surprised. They're so efficient. The complimentary bread was fantastically warm and thick; perfect ratio of crunchy and fluffy. We chose to share a Vegetariana flatbread in placement of an appetizer, and ugh the perfection of it all. Unfortunately it was the only picture I have. It was loaded with vegetables with a nice thin crust. Highly recommend. We also got Braised Short Rib Pappardelle which had a rich sauce. The ribs were melt in your mouth tender. The Linguine Di Marre had fresh and flavorful seafood; mussels, shrimp and thick pieces of fish which were just as tender as the ribs. The sauce could have been better as it was just a normal tomato sauce, but it was still good. Just nothing truly outstanding if not for the seafood. That was really the focus point of the dish. Bacio is an institution for good reason. They nail the meal every time. The service is top notch. The food is the best around. The only ding is the ambiance is dated and it's loud in there as a result. They are so busy that I imagine they can't close to update, but they should. I have been to Bacio at least 20 times. I was so surprised to see it packed on a Monday evening. But, the food is really very delicious and the portions are large. We came out to Bacio for a double date, and it was a great spot to have great food and ambience. It was easy to have a conversation without feeling like we're yelling, but not in complete silence. The staff was really kind and made sure to continuously check-in on our table. I had the salmon and I can confidently say it was the best salmon I've had in a really long time. It wasn't dry at all and the stir fry it was served with was an absolutely perfect pairing. Dessert is also a definite "yes" here! I will always order a creme brûlée if it's an option - delicious! Been here a few times, but this time was disappointing, mainly the food, but enough factors that I won't be back. Our waiter was fine, but a little bit too much- He recommended about 10 things, and I chose one of them. He forgot one of the rules of serving, which was asking everyone how their meal was- Didn't ask me and I only ate a few bites of mine. I know this rule because I have worked as a server. I had the chicken cacciatore- don't bother. The chicken was dry and hard, and had so much burnt coating on it - it was difficult to cut through it with my knife. It came with a side of bland red sauce and some fettuccine Alfredo- which wasn't bad- at least I could eat that. I would have done better at Olive Garden and way cheaper. Also, ordered a beet salad to start - which came with tons of greens and very little beets, and it was very Salty. How can a salad be too salty? icky. The Ambiance in Bacio is nice, but they do pack the tables in tight . My friend and I came for Happy Hour and had a delightful experience! We chose to sit outside in their front patio area which was super cute with greenery and table umbrellas. I started out with the Baccio White Sangria which I loved! We picked out an assortment HH small plates to share: Ahi Tuna Crisps, Chicken Satay, Beef Skewers, and Matchstick Zucchini. A great local place for lunch, business meeting or dinner! I got a chicken salad half size for lunch and even the half size was a very big plate. The lettuce was nicely dressed, the chicken moist, and onions crisp, and the bleu cheese tied the lunch all together! A salad is a simple dish but it can be messed up very easily and I have had my share of "sad-salads"- but the salad at Bacio hit all the requirements I'm looking for. Also the ambience inside is very beautiful - they have a high ceiling with brick pillars which is a great photo opportunity. They also have a nice patio area. I have dealt with that many times ( then the pretty woman seen happens ... ) " big mistake " fast forward !! ( that's the past !! ) Today Val was our server, I got to experience the NOLA dishes! It was so flavorful ! Val was super friendly, made our experience over all very Pleseant and very informative! The Shrimp Etouffe has a great spice to each bite! We also ordered the Gumbo, just super flavorful! The beignets at the end were a perfect touch to our lunch. This meal was perfect! My mother in law loved the bread that they brought before your meal! Had an amazing date night last night with my wife. I really love the atmosphere at this restaurant it's very warm and welcoming and the servers and hosts are super nice and have high attention to detail. We started with the spaghetti squash seasonal appetizer. It was amazing something that we want to try at home even though generally we haven't liked spaghetti squash in the past. It was pan fried with olive oil spices peppers and parmesan cheese. We also had some of the table bread which was very good for table bread they make it in house and serve it fresh and hot. I had the seasonal tomato basil soup which is very heavy and very much on the robust tomato side. I liked it a lot it was not a creamy light tomato basil soup that you get some places. Very very rich flavor. We also had the Alfredo with chicken the noodles were great and so was the entire dish There are so many great things on the menu I plan to go back soon and this place that I had gone to a long time ago and forgot for a while. read more

Always looking for new brunch places. Picked Bacios because located midway between the three of us. The interior is quite nice. The service was fantastic. We never felt rushed and our server was super attentive. Really like that they use local ingredients and call them out on the menu. The food was mediocre. I had an omelet with sausage, spinach and Gruyère cheese and it was fine, just not much flavor and pretty greasy. My SIL had the mushroom omelette and said it was decent. Both of our omelets came with a wedge of hash browns. I love crispy hash browns but these were like cardboard and had no flavor despite adding salt and pepper. My other SIL had the traditional eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes. She seemed happy with it but to me it looked like it had been sitting too long before serving. The eggs weren't runny and the hollendaise was too set- not creamy enough. Would be curious to try non brunch food and might give it another chance. We weren't disappointed, although it was quite busy we were seated right away. Our server Jeffrey was great, super friendly and attentive. We ordered from the specials- the NOLA menu and the red fish was quite delicious (wish the serving was a bit bigger) but the flavor of the dish was amazing. I had made dinner reservations with a friend online a couple nights ago which was via the Open Table app and is easy to use. Arrived and the entry way there were outside patio seating with heated lamps but majority people were dining inside due to colder temps. Space was beautiful, nice and clean. Signs were up to make sure very one needs to wear a mask and practice social distancing. We were greeted and seated right away once checked in. We started with drinks. My friend had the moscato and I had the Prairie Pineapple Martini. Both were great. The bread was moist and crispy and went great with the butter! For appetizers, we decided to try the caramelized Brussels sprouts which were tasty. For entrees, we decided to share plates so we can both try different flavors. We got the seared scallops which came with mashed butternut squash and pepitas sage brown butter. We also got the beef tenderloin fettuccini which came with mushrooms, cream and herb gastrique. I was visiting from Chicago and I loved Bacio. Such fresh ingredients and a vast menu. I had a difficult time choosing what to order, I wanted to try everything! Our waitress was knowledgeable and helped me choose items I absolutely loved. The beet salad is delicious and huge for all beet lovers out there. I also had the lamb vermicelli that was so tasty. We had brunch at Bacio's this weekend and everyone enjoyed themselves. The food was very good. Everyone ordered breakfast items. I had the mushroom spinach omlet with crisp hasbrowns. Very good, wish I had a side of hollandaise to pour over it which would have elevated it to perfection. Our waitress was attentive, but got the orders mixed up of who ordered what. That was not a big deal overall. One thing I must point out to management...you have a beautiful establishment, so when I see numerous chairs sitting againt a wall with huge rips and their stuffing exposed, for goodness sakes, get them reupholstered or replace them. We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday. It's a nice atmosphere and great service but I wasn't so impressed with the food. We started out the the wild mushroom flatbread. It's good but I wish it had some truffle flavour to it. Sea bass dish was alright, not sure why it's so hyped up. I didn't taste the wasabi in the mashed potato. The linguine di Mar is so so. I guess I prefer fresh noodles or at least softer. The noodles were a bit tough and I didn't quite enjoy this dish. For dessert we had the berry crumble which was so nice and warm with the melting ice cream but the berry part felt too sweet, almost like heated up berry jam. I wouldn't come back. A very cute spot! Based on where it's located, I couldn't tell from the outside how large it is on the inside. The decor is great! There's internal rock work and a large open roof. It almost feels like a nice get away. I had the roasted cauliflower calamari. Both were tasty. Though I was surprised how good the cauliflower was. It was roasted and service on smashed cauliflower with a delicious sauce on top. I'd return just for that! The calamari can be ordered in a small or large size. It is by the oz so the number of pieces will vary. I opted for the large thinking if I got full, I could take some home. The large order was rather small. I don't think it would be worth ordering the small. We were greeted nicely upon are entrance and thanked king upon our exit. The waitress seemed nice enough. However, my friend noticed other tables around us being brought the house bread. We weren't even offered it. Not sure why. That was definitely a miss. Overall, nice place. They also have a patio. We had Blood orange margarita, hibiscus Mule, and Prairie pineapple martini. Blood orange margarita was a little too tart and pineapple martini was a little too sweet. We also tried ahi tuna crisps and crab cake for appetizers. Both were delicious. On top of that we got fresh baked bread which was warm and fluffy. For entrée we ordered pesto crusted Seabass, coconut seafood risotto and chicken under a brick. All were perfectly cooked and delicious. After all this, we were really full but could not resist the homemade gelato. We had a scoop each of strawberry cheesecake and vanilla. First thing to know is every day they offer happy hour from 3-6pm in the rather large bar section. *Be sure to let the host know you are there for happy hour.* You can find their happy hour menu online but most of the dishes are between $9-13 and we have tried SO many of them. They also offer happy hour drink specials including some mock tails and Izzys. (Honestly Bacio should employ me with the praise I'm about to sing.) Now normally at Bacio you get bread and butter but when we come for happy hour we have to ask for it #noshamehere. That bread is honestly chefs kiss! We started of course with Izzy's and some ciders off their regular bar menu. Here's our opinions on the dishes: -Walley tacos ($11 for 2)- not always available but delicious and a hint of spicy. Mmm -Ahi Tuna Crisps ($13 for 6ish)- great for sharing and unique. Lots of textures here! -Parmesan shrimp ($12 for a plate)- great for a group, we were shocked at the amount. -Tortiglioni Rossa ($11 for a small plate)- yummy! we normally share the pasta between two but it's a small dish. -Caico de Pepe ($10 for a small plate)- classic! ^same info -Braised meat balls ($10 for 3)- easily cut in half. I ordered it as an appetizer and shared with the table. The sauce on the pasta was delish! Things I didn't get a picture of - we shared a sampler of bruschetta; caprese salad. The Mediterranean risotto is hard to envision but it's well put together. If you don't like fresh mint you should pass. The best thing was the coconut shrimp risotto with clams and white fish!
